we’re limitless
have i said this before?
it’s a shame that there are people that find relationships to be limiting.
as if a significant other is merely a lock and key. as if having one is a detriment to fulfilling dreams, being an individual, reaching goals. as if the goals you create as somebody’s somebody is thoroughly different from the ones you create as nobody’s somebody… or everybody’s somebody, ain’t one to judge lol.
sure, you have someone who stresses you out about minuscule, petty bullshit. you have someone who has the ability to build you up and the knowledge of how to break you down. you have someone who complains about you complaining too much, feeding into a cycle of complaints that escalates impersonal gripes into personal blows at each other.
but at the end of the day, you have someone.
and he’s not nearly as much of a lock and key as he is my rock, and he keeps us solid while keeping me grounded. we have our own dreams just as much as we have shared dreams, and our individuality is still as apparent as it was before him and i became an us. the goals i created as a single man are only greater and bolstered now that i’m with him, and he provides the boost i wouldn’t have otherwise.
in this relationship, i have never felt so fucking limitless.
happy 14 <3
the amount of love i have for you is limitless :-)
