WOH, episode 10. Part 8. HY, hearing ZZS's words, explains that the only thing left for them is this or death. He adds that each day they survive is a miracle. ZZS looks at the statue and listens silently to HY's words. After a moment, he says that he was lucky that HY took care of it yesterday. He goes on to tell HY that the more they connect, the greater the danger HY is in. ZZS worries about his former subordinate. He knows he can't protect him now and advises him not to expose himself to Tian Chuang. He should remember to always think of himself. ZZS finally says he'll leave, turns around, and heads for the door. Seeing this, HY looks after ZZS as he leaves and tells him, still calling him commander, that if ZZS has any trouble and if he can do something for him, he will give his life for ZZS without regret. As he says this, he makes a ceremonial bow. ZZS pauses for a moment; he was leaving so quickly because he was touched by HY's concern and didn't want HY to see his emotion. ZZS now understands that he can't leave without looking HY directly in the face. He turns, looks at HY, and pulls a piece of Glazed Armor from his robe. When HY sees this piece of Glazed Armor, he is surprised. He approaches ZZS and carefully examines what his former commander is holding in his hand. Finally, he reveals that he has already sent two pieces of Glazed Armor to Jin and begins to question why ZZS has another one. This time, HY's words surprise ZZS, and he is the one to ask about these two pieces. HY replies that his subordinates found two identical pieces of Glazed Armor near the FBZ. ZZS begins to become a little terrified as he realizes that there are many fake pieces of Glazed Armor circulating in Yueyang, and he knows that WKX is behind it, as this piece is identical to the one ZZS once gave to WKX. ZZS begins to think deeply, and HY, who has no idea what happened, says that this is strange. ZZS declares that this is no surprise and that there are many more pieces. HY listens carefully to ZZS, who explains that there are many more fake Glazed Armor circulating throughout the cultivator world. He then hands the piece to HY, who takes it and examines it carefully. After a moment, HY says that this is why the two pieces look identical, while the five pieces of Glazed Armor in Prince Jin's painting are different. HY finally understands what this means and concludes that the pieces he obtained are fakes. ZZS realizes that Prince Jin must have been interested in Arsenal for a long time, and HY's words confirm this. However, he begins to wonder why WKX did something so terrible if he benefited nothing from it. He doesn't yet know who WKX really is or why he wants to harm the Five Lakes Alliance so badly. His thoughts are interrupted by HY's question about who created the fakes. HY states that he might actually be a bad person. ZZS doesn't want to explain this to HY; it's already difficult for him. He himself was struggling to cope, and finally ZZS told HY that the fight for Glazed Armor would intensify and advised HY to simply do as he was told and investigate the matter. ZZS, with concern in his voice, asks HY not to get involved. HY is a bit confused by ZZS's behavior and words. He bows ceremonially and tells ZZS that if he orders, he will do anything to find the two missing pieces of Glazed Armor. An angry ZZS tells him not to, as it would go against the prince's orders. ZZS wants to protect HY and doesn't want him to risk his life for him.
This time, for a change, I have photos and promotional materials from the 2019 short film "哥" (Brother / Ge), in which ZZH played the lead role (Wang Yue, the younger brother). The film was made specifically for the television program 演员请就位 (Actors Please Take Your Place / Everybody Stand By, Season 1) as the final work of Zhao Wei's (Vicky Zhao) directing group. Zhao Wei directed this episode/film. The premiere/early screening took place on December 7, 2019 (around midnight), and the film was shown as part of the program's finale in mid-December 2019. Thanks to this role, ZZH received the "Most Audience-Acclaimed Actor" award for the program. The film ran for approximately 27 minutes, garnered high ratings (including around an 8.8 on Douban), and was the most-watched film of the finale. In "Brother," he played an ordinary, hardworking man from a lower social class who for years cared for his older brother, who, following an accident, struggled with intellectual disabilities. ZZH's style is very realistic, "dirty," and everyday, far from his typical image of a handsome, well-groomed idol. Looking at these photos and promotional materials, we see that ZZH has short, almost black hair, naturally styled, slightly disheveled or damp with sweat, without the "star" styling. His face, as seen in the photos, is highly expressive and severe. Often sweaty, with tense features, a look of fatigue, anxiety, pain, or inner struggle. The burden of the character's life is evident, with stressed, slightly "worn" features, and an open mouth during emotional moments. His clothes are tailored to the role. We see him dressed in a gray-and-blue work jacket over a gray T-shirt. In the scene at the kitchen table, he looks like a manual laborer. In the next shot, he's wearing a white T-shirt in bed, a very intimate, domestic scene, emphasizing fragility and everyday life. Subsequent shots show him wearing a blue denim jacket over a dark T-shirt, depicting more emotional scenes outdoors. The film quickly earned an 8.8 rating on Douban, with a majority of five-star ratings. It was the most-watched film of the program's finale and became one of the season's biggest successes. Viewers and reviewers praised Zhao Wei's realistic, understated directing style (without cheap sentimentality, yet powerfully emotional), the authentic atmosphere of everyday life, and the "filmic quality" despite its short length. It tells a story about brotherly bonds, a sense of duty, the conflict between love and responsibility, human frailty, and the ultimate decision to stay together. Common comments included: "the camera is restrained, yet tears fall like rain," "it hits right to the heart," "warmth and authenticity," and "it shows a true human struggle." ZZH's performance (as Wang Yue's younger brother) was particularly praised for its subtlety, layering, and restraint—he portrayed exhaustion, suppressed emotions, inner conflict, guilt, and ultimate tenderness. This role earned ZZH the award for "Most Audience Appreciated Actor" for the program. Posters and stills were praised for his realistic, "messy," and authentic appearance. ZZH looked like an ordinary, weary man from the lower classes—a far cry from the typical idol glamour. Fans and viewers emphasized that this styling greatly aided in character development and demonstrated his acting prowess and willingness to "destroy" his image for the role. Fans reacted strongly. Many admitted to crying while watching (immediately after the premiere and during later reruns). They emphasized ZZH's refined, understated performance – "he doesn't act, he lives the character," "it's heartbreaking," "he showed a completely different side." They appreciated that he finally got a role with "meat" and could move away from his image as a handsome young man from costume dramas. Comments appeared on YouTube and forums, such as "tears every time," "a brilliant pairing of Zhang and Wang Sen," and "I wish they'd develop this into a feature-length film."
WOH, episode 10. Part 7. ZZS lies in bed in a huge room. After a while, he wakes up and slowly realizes that he somehow ended up there and that someone took care of him while he was very drunk at a restaurant. ZZS slowly gets up, puts on his shoes, gets out of bed, and walks to the center of the room. He looks around and notices an altar with a Bodhisattva statue against one wall, and he examines it for a moment. Suddenly, the sound of a door opening is heard, and ZZS turns around to see HY standing in the doorway. ZZS, surprised by his presence, calls out his name. HY enters and approaches ZZS, telling him that a lot is happening in Yueyang City. He adds that after yesterday's events at Renyi Manor, if it weren't for Tian Chuang having a spy there who remained loyal to HY and ZZS, ZZS's identity would have been revealed. HY is genuinely concerned that ZZS could be exposed and Prince Jin's whereabouts would reach him. HY wants to protect his former commander and is a bit surprised that ZZS has become careless recently. He then asks what's happening with ZZS's wounds. ZZS feels guilty that his thoughtless behavior could have put HY in danger, something ZZS wouldn't want. ZZS flashes back to the old days, dies, and calmly explains to HY that he experienced ups and downs at the moon court, always keeping a straight face. With sadness in his voice, he states that it's been a while since he left. Then he says that if he has to continue living in fear, why did he leave at all? ZZH wants to tell HY that he's tired of all this hiding. For a while, he thought it made sense, but now it doesn't matter to him. HY addresses ZZS, calling him "commander," and tells him that he created the Nails of Seven Torments. He asks if there really is no cure for these Nails. Even though ZZS has left Tian Chuang, his former deputy cares for him and wants to know if there's any way to cure ZZS. ZZS remains silent, not wanting to dispel HY's illusions by explaining that he created these Nails and there's no cure. HY continues, saying that there is, after all, the Valley of Healers, the Valley of Shamans, and the Western Lands. HY, full of hope, states that the world is vast, so a way will surely be found. He then suggests that he and ZZS go on this search together. ZZS, knowing his condition intimately, interrupts HY's speech and, raising his hand, declares that what HY has already said is enough. ZZS calmly explains that he has committed many evil deeds. As he says this, he approaches HY, places his hand on his shoulder, and adds that God will not let him die so easily. ZZS did not fully consider HY his subordinate; he considered him more of a junior disciple who needed to be protected. Hearing ZZS's words, HY tries to understand them. ZZS turns his face away and looks at the altar. Then he turns to the altar and asks HY, "Since when did he start believing in gods and Buddhas?" HY simply replies that he never asked for anything before, and that's why he didn't believe. He adds that now he has something to ask for, and that's why he must believe. ZZS begins to understand what HY means and is deeply moved, not wanting HY to see the emotion on his face. Therefore, he continues to stand with his back to HY and tells him that on this journey he wants to take him on, the gods and Buddhas will not bless him. With these words, ZZS wants to discourage HY from following him, but he can't say it to his face. He doesn't want to expose HY to danger, because he knows what kind of person Prince Jin is and knows that HY could be accused of treason and die, something ZZS wouldn't survive. He doesn't want HY to have any connection with him, even if HY's intentions are noble.
Today, we're in 2018. The photos ZZH presents are from a cover photoshoot, and one of the photos from Sweet Donut (甜麦圈) was the October 2018 issue (labeled 31 / NEW STAR). The title of the photoshoot and interview is "归来仍是少年" ("Return as a Young Man") with the English subtitle "AT THE BEGINNING OF THE HEART." The photos were a professional magazine shoot, and the magazine included a short video interview (including about training, abs, leg recovery, and filming). In October 2018, ZZH had a freshly shaved head and a very short buzz cut (寸头). This style was prepared for his role as a firefighter in the film The Bravest (烈火英雄, 2019). Fans often called him "寸头宝宝" (buzz-cut baby) back then, a combination of boyish charm and masculinity. Looking at his face reveals very distinct, sharp features, a high, straight nose, a defined jawline, thick eyebrows, and full lips. His short hair accentuated these features, creating a clean, crisp, "hard-man" look with a youthful vibe. His skin looks smooth and well-groomed here, and ZZH himself spoke of regularly applying facial masks and sunscreen at the time. ZZH wore natural, almost invisible makeup back then. In photos, we see his large, dark eyes looking directly at the camera, and his facial expression is almost contrived. It's impossible not to notice his prominent, thick eyebrows, high nose, and full lips, which are slightly parted. In ZZH's photos, he gently supports his forehead with his right hand, and his fingers are slightly bent, which adds to the intimacy and tranquility. ZZH is dressed in a thick, beige-gray sweater with a thick knit—soft, casual, and a bit "homey." The sweater has a round neckline, a loose fit, and the color is warm and muted, fitting for the autumn mood. In the photos, ZZH sits at a table with clear glasses/carafes of water and a small glass with a live goldfish. The fish is a strong, symbolic accent, adding freshness, lightness, and a slightly surreal, "poetic" character. The background is bright, clean, and minimalist. The overall vibe is very clean, calm, "soft masculine"—a combination of boyish freshness and mature, calm masculinity. This is one of ZZH's most distinctive and beloved looks of 2018, thanks to the short hair and natural, warm styling. The reception to these particular photos—the cover and the Sweet Donut feature from October 2018—was very positive and warm. The shoot quickly became one of ZZH's favorite "youthful" hairstyles from that era. Fans particularly appreciated the combination of short hair with a soft, calm style. The hairstyle was an absolute hit. The most frequently mentioned comments included: "寸头宝宝好man喔~" (the baby buzz cut is so manly), "寸頭髮型超好看英俊瀟灑" (this hairstyle looks great, elegant, and proud), and "Love the new buzz cut. Very fitting." Many commented that the short hair beautifully accentuated his features (forehead, eyebrows, jawline) while maintaining his boyish charm. Some jokingly said that even with a shaved head, he still looked like a "wife"/"laopo." They appreciated his calm, slightly pensive, intimate pose (hand to temple). Comments like "This expression is so soft yet strong," "少年感满满" (full of youthfulness), and "At the beginning of the heart – it suits him perfectly." The goldfish in the glass was often praised as a pretty, poetic detail that adds freshness and lightness. The thick beige and gray sweater was considered a very successful choice – warm, casual, "homey," yet elegant. Fans wrote that it made him look natural and approachable, not "dressed up." The clean, bright composition and good lighting were highly praised. The comments were full of affection and admiration: "美男子," "帥爆了," "太好看了," "归来仍是少年 – exactly like that," "skin so good," "model face." In later reuploads (2021–2023), fans returned to these photos with nostalgia, writing that it was one of Zhang's purest and most pleasant looks from before his huge popularity.

WOH, episode 10, part 6. Surprised by YQF's verbal attack, a disciple asks why they should overestimate the capabilities of other sects and underestimate their own. He seems a bit surprised that their leader denies their achievements. He wants to present his position and begins to say something about their Five Mountain Sects once being, but the leader cuts him off, saying there are no more Five Mountain Sects. Irritated by the disciple's discussion with him, he adds that ALZ is dead, and the sect on Tai Peak has been annihilated. With a raised voice and gesticulating, the sect leader explains that even if he moves heaven and earth, how can he sustain all the Five Mountain Sects alone? YQF had his own plans, and now it seems his plans have proven impossible. He knows that the Five Mountain Sects have disintegrated, and he is still worried about his son. The disciple finally realized he had said too much and only upset the leader. So, embarrassed, he kneels and begs for forgiveness. YQF slowly regains control of his emotions and sits down at the table. Concerned about his son's fate, he says enough discussion is enough and asks if there's any news from TJ. The disciple replies no. Before YQF can ask any more questions, another disciple rushes into the room to say something to the disciple, who quickly rises from the table and asks if there's still any news from TJ. The disciple denies this. He then begins to say that Tai Shan Sect representatives came to YQF and says they said something, but the disciple doesn't let him finish his sentence, curiously asking what they said. On the one hand, he doesn't want to interfere in another sect's affairs, but on the other, he's curious what they want from him. The disciple calmly explains that the disciple of the Tai Shan Sect has said that the circumstances of ALZ's death aren't so clear. Somewhat embarrassed by what he must say, the disciple declares that the disciples of the ALZ Sect claim that the Five Lakes Alliance is behind their master's death. This statement surprises YQF somewhat, but he slowly begins to consider his course of action. He doesn't want to enter into conflict with the powerful Alliance, but he also doesn't fully trust Gao Chong and the other brothers. His behavior toward them is merely a posturing intended to gain their trust. The words he heard and the accusation directed at the Five Lakes Alliance seem quite reasonable. YQF knew perfectly well that the brothers from the Alliance possessed the five pieces of Glazed Armor and would probably not want a stranger to receive this piece. He also remembered the last meeting with ALZ and the SS's behavior toward the Tai Shan Sect master. He slowly approaches the table and remains silent, while the disciple asks what they should do. YQF turns and extends his hand to the disciple, considers for a moment, then lowers his hand and tells the disciple to tell the Tai Shan Sect representatives that he is gone. Confused by the master's response and somewhat surprised, the student asks YQF what he should tell them. Irritated by the young man's ignorance, YQF turns and tells him to tell them that he left, that he's sick, that he died. With each word, YQF's voice grows louder, finally adding that he doesn't care at all and that he won't meet with them. The student, finally realizing his mistake, simply makes a ceremonial bow and replies that he agrees with the master. When YQF shouts for him to leave, he leaves. YQF notices that the student remains in the room, kneeling on his knees, and is so furious that the master hasn't left that he orders him to leave. The somewhat terrified student replies, "Fine," and quickly leaves the room. YQF watches the departing student and sighs. He understands that he has his own business, and now that he's involved and accepts the ALZ students, he can expect them to ask him for clarification.
It was hard for me to write anything yesterday because this day will always be depressing for me. Especially since five years have passed, and it's hard for me to accept that it's been so long. I know that cases, whether handled by the police, prosecutors, or later by the courts, take a long time. Especially those in which the perpetrators want to destroy their victims at all costs. They almost succeeded. They managed to consign ZZH to oblivion, and they continue to try to show that he's not a good citizen of his country and doesn't care about restoring his good name. This is not true. ZZH, focused and silent, fights for his good name. He knows that silence can scream the loudest. He knows that when he wins his case, we'll hear such a shock that everything will fall silent. Justice doesn't like publicity; it operates in silence. It doesn't need fanfare, but when it comes, it's like a volcanic eruption. I know ZZH and his mother are waiting somewhere, living a good life, protected by those who love him. For him, the most important thing is his family and clearing his name, as he is a proud, patriotic citizen who doesn't want to disappoint his country. He's not interested in a career abroad, and unlike other actors, he never adopted an English name to use. He didn't need it. Of course, ZZH has always respected his international fans, but he loves his country more and will never betray it. Therefore, he deserves justice. And it will surely come. This is a reminder that Xiao Zhan received justice in his fight against slander after five years. This is a sign for us how long such trials take. No matter how long we have to wait, I will stay here.
Today we have photos of ZZH from August 4, 2021, promoting the Wahaha brand. This was a live or offline broadcast, which is subject to the Nutrition Express / 营养快线 threat. This was one of the last events of ZZK's brand promotion events before the controversy that erupted on August 13, 2021, which led to the rapid termination of the partnership. Wahaha was one of the first brands to be certified on August 13, 2021. ZZH opted for a youthful, casual-smart look with street and sporty elements. His outfit was dominated by blue denim + white + black. ZZH wore his dark hair slightly tousled, styled up and to the sides, with visible length at the front. He wore small silver earrings in his ears. The makeup that flows is l natural, emphasizing facial features with visible line members, light contours, a fresh complexion, and broad facial contours. The outfit featured here consists of a blue denim jacket with distressed details and subtle frayed details, a fitted cut with a straight collar and flap pockets. The jackets are a good quality, classic white shirt with a collar, often slightly unbuttoned, hidden under the jacket. I wore the shirt with black, simple ties, loosely tied. The pants were found in black, with blue jeans underneath, as on the jacket. It looked like two fabrics were combined on the pants. The next version looks fresh, youthful, and "cool," reflecting the typical youth look of 2021. The styling is consistent throughout the event (the same denim look). The response to the photos and events at Wahaha on August 4, 2021, was very quick and enthusiastic among fans. This was one of the last public, happy events of ZZH before the controversy that erupted a few days later. Fans (both Chinese and international) praised his appearance, energy, and interactions. Photos and fancams quickly circulated on Weibo, Twitter/X, YouTube, and other platforms. Praise included: "Looks cool & handsome," "今天造型太酷帅了" (today's outfit is too cool and handsome), "ZZH cool n handsome," and "沒有辦法就是這樣帥!帥!帥!" (there's no way around it, he's just so handsome). Fans highlighted the denim jacket, white shirt, black ties, and "big back"/messy hair as particularly successful. Many authors called it one of his best looks of the day. Mention the comments on his separate and distinct comments, such as these: "ZZH seems full of life and good humor. I never get tired of watching his changing facial expressions.", "瀚在現場挺活潑,人也帥出新高點,人也接地氣" (Han is very very, but even more handsome than usual and is down-to-earth/friendly). His smile, facial expressions, and being "接地气" (down-to-earth) were praised. There were some well-liked moments with a bouquet of flowers and a large bottle of Wahaha. Comments like "The Flowers!!!," "So clever and handsome," and "活潑的ZZH真令人喜歡" (the lively ZZH really likes it). Also popular was a part where fans "teased" him about drinking water ("喝完它!" – come out to the end!), and he responded in his typical, slightly creepy but adorable way. Fans wrote that he was "太可愛啦" (too cute) and "調皮哲" (mischievous Zhe). The general tone of the comments was full of ❤️🥰😘👍😍 emoticons, thanks for fancam uploads, and love selections. Many top fans wrote in English, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and other languages. Additional information about the album mentioned during the events also emerged. In the final release, fans were captivated by ZZH's styling, energy, and naturalness. The event and photos remain among the fandom's most beautiful, "sunny" moments of 2021.
WOH, Episode 10, Part 5. Outraged by ZJ's words, SS asks ZJ what he means and adds in a raised voice that Glazed Armor has always belonged to their Five Lakes Alliance. Gao Chong, fed up with the argument between SS and ZJ, stands up and tells both brothers to end the discussion. Gao Chong says that it's ALZ's fault, after all, for not being able to keep Glazed Armor. The eldest brother steps down from the podium and approaches SS and ZJ, saying that if ALZ had given Glazed Armor to them, this wouldn't have happened. Gao Chong tries to convince the brothers that they are not responsible for the deaths of ALZ and his students, because they couldn't force him to give up Glazed Armor. SS looks pointedly at ZJ, who says that in that case, he still thinks they are to blame for ALZ's end. ZJ explains that, besides, the third brother, Lu, gave Glazed Armor to ALZ before his death. ZJ adds that they should respect Brother Lu's last wishes. He states that the dead should be spoken of with respect, and that they won't persuade anyone to do anything against their will. ZJ, through his attitude and words, wants to show both brothers that he is the voice of reason among them and wants to show them the best solution. Gao Chong listens carefully, and SS asks what's the point of them using force, because this is a world of warriors, where the strong always prey on the weak. ZJ looks at this point as if he's pondering the fifth brother's words, and Gao Chong seems to have had enough of what SS is saying. SS goes on to say that the third brother, Lu, died childless, and it's clear they will inherit his estate and his students. SS vehemently asks what rights outsiders like ALZ have to this. SS further states that ALZ didn't have such opportunities, yet he insisted on interfering in the affairs of the Five Lakes Alliance. SS is a simple warrior and simply speaks his mind and his opinion about what happened, without any hypocrisy. Gao Chong can't stand SS's tirade and reprimands him. He asks if SS can break in and raise hell in the Tai Shan Sect, or if he wants to force people to leave and beg them for help. SS stands with his back to ZJ and Gao Chong, and seems to be realizing that he's said too much and should keep some things to himself. Gao Chong asks why ALZ died so far from home. Gao Chong continues to explain what all the righteous sects in the world will think of their Alliance. SS, who had his back to his brothers the entire time, turns to GC and says, his voice breaking, that he didn't kill ALZ, adding that they will simply avenge his death. SS is probably one of the few people here who isn't plotting for their own interests or, in one way or another, protecting the sect's reputatio. Meanwhile, YQF, standing with his back to the disciple in one of the rooms in his manor, listens as the disciple explains that all the people of the Renyi Manor disrespect their Hua Shan Sect. The leader points out to the disciple that they are being impudent and that he is telling him all this. He demands that the disciple tell the other disciples never to participate in such missions again and that he report this to him immediately. YQF is angry that his disciples went to the Renyi Manor without his consent. He asks the disciple, who stands embarrassed, his eyes fixed on the floor, if he wants to join the deliberations of the world's largest alliance and the world's largest sect. He also asks if the disciple is unhappy with his life. The YQF has its own reasons for attending the Heroes' Conference, and for now, it's trying to side with the Five Lakes Alliance. That's why it's displeased that one of its students, along with a group of others, decided, at the urging of what I assume was HH, to join the attack on the residents of Renyi Manor. This cast it in a bad light as the sect leader, and now it was up to him to find a solution to this problem so as not to lose Gao Chong's trust.
Today we have photos from 2019 again. These photos are from the period surrounding the completion of Chinese filming (杀青) of the series "Everyone Wants to Meet You" (谁都渴望遇见你), in which ZZH played the main character Zhang Min. The official announcement of the completion of domestic filming and his signing with a new agency (Pulin/Princesse) appeared on March 14, 2019. The date I mentioned can be considered the actual last day of filming, a private farewell, or a fan club meeting, as the media reported the official announcement a few days later. The French filming, which took place near Bordeaux, concluded in April 2019. One photo clearly shows banners and flower stands with the series title and ZZH's image (including "张浪" and official posters "谁都渴望遇见你"), confirming that this was an event related to the conclusion of filming or a post-filming meeting with fans. At the time, ZZH had very short, almost shaved hair, a buzz cut typical of his role as Zhang Min—a modern, cool hotel president. His face is clean, beardless, with sharp features, pronounced cheekbones, and a warm, smiling expression (the so-called "Luffy smile," which fans love). ZZH's physique is athletic, with broad shoulders and a sporty appearance. Styling-wise, a very fluffy puffer jacket in a vibrant red-orange or coral color plays a key role. It has a classic quilted design, a wide collar, and a navy blue upper. The jacket is clearly oversized, enormous, and fluffy, reaching below the hips and with long sleeves. Underneath the jacket, he wears an olive green hoodie, and underneath it a white T-shirt. The lower part of the outfit consists of black, fitted trousers, in some photos with white horizontal stripes on the thighs, which could be considered a sporty accent. On his feet, he wears white sneakers. Looking at these photos, we have the typical "off-duty" look of ZZH from that period: casual, sporty, and warm, with a strong color accent on the jacket, which really stands out against the winter scenery. In the series, he played an elegant CEO in suits, so these photos show his private, more "boyish" and casual side. The reception of these photos among fans (mainly the "海哲" / Hai Zhe) was overwhelmingly positive, warm, and full of nostalgia for the "sunny, down-to-earth guy." It's worth noting that these photos are from ZZH's meeting with fans on set. What was particularly memorable was that ZZH personally bought food for the fans—those are the red bags in one of the photos—and spent time with them outside despite the chilly, overcast weather. Fans emphasized how "humane" and caring he was. Reports from that day include descriptions of him standing in the cold, suggesting group photos, and showing where to sit and eat, and the bags of food were things he himself enjoyed eating on set. Comments like "always so warm," "好溫馨窩心" (so warm and comforting), and "He is always so warm." The short undercut/buzz cut + a huge, bright red-orange puffer jacket (color-block with navy blue) + athletic pants and white sneakers were praised as very "youthful," "boyish," and "boyfriend material," contrasting with Zhang Min's elegant suits from the series. Fans loved this casual, oversized, winter look—it emphasized his athletic physique and energy ("多动症少年"—a hyperactive boy, as he was also called during his official meeting with Zhaowei). His smile (the so-called "Luffy smile") and open, cheerful gestures (e.g., the raised arms in the fourth photo) prompted comments about its "healing" effect and that "today I also had a heart attack from Zhang Zong's smile." The photos with banners, flowers, and outdoor scenes were treated as a pleasant farewell to the set. Fans were happy to see him "off-duty," without makeup and his TV-style styling.

WOH, episode 10. Part 4. Meanwhile, the women who accompanied WKX lie drunk on the ground, and one is leaning against a table. WKX doesn't look drunk and is examining an object in her hand. One of the women is more conscious and explains to WKX that she can't drink anymore because she's feeling dizzy. WKX appears sober, looks at his hand, and asks the girl if she's ever experienced something like this. That there was something he really wanted. But it disappeared, and he thought he'd never find it again, but years later it reappeared. Here, WKX talks about finally meeting ZZS after years of separation, because he wanted to find him, but because of his own actions, ZZS left and WKX lost him. The semi-conscious girl, leaning on WKX's shoulder, replies that it was probably a good thing. Because WKX regained what he lost. WKX explains that it turned out he no longer had the right to have it. In the morning at Chongwu Palace, a gloomy SS approaches Gao Chong, who is sitting in the main hall, and ZJ is also sitting on one of the chairs below. Gao Chong asks if SS has caught FXF yet. SS apologizes to GC and explains that he let him escape. The Alliance leader doesn't look pleased upon hearing this news. SS asks GC not to worry, because after the Heroes' Conference, he will catch this devil and avenge the Four Sages of Anji. Gao Chong acts as if he doesn't care, but asks ZJ how the funeral preparations for the Sages of Anji are going. ZJ replies that everything is ready according to Gao Chong's instructions; they are just waiting for the disciples of the Sages of Anji and their families. Then they will escort their souls home. ZJ adds that when he arrived at Renyi Manor, he saw a half-dug grave on the ground. ZJ says he doesn't know who did it, wondering if the Beggar Gang is behind it. Gao Chong gives ZJ a hand signal and tells ZJ not to exaggerate. SS interjects, saying that Gao Chong is right and adding that he's giving that old sly Huang a dirty look. SS says that if they want his opinion, he claims that HH has wanted to acquire Glazed Armor from the beginning. SS explains that ever since that stupid rhyme spread from Ghost Valley in Jianghu. Gao Chong listens with interest to the fifth brother's words, but finally interrupts SS's speech and says that the rhyme didn't originate from Ghost Valley. The leader of the Five Lakes Alliance seems to have his own opinion on the matter. A surprised SS looks at ZJ, who asks Gao Chong what he means. He repeats the words, "The rainbow clouds have dispersed, and the Glazed Armor is shattered, whoever cries with the ghosts on Qingya Mountain will cry with them." He then says that it's clear that Ghost Valley has rebelled against the Five Lakes Alliance. ZJ wants to make his position clear with these words that Ghost Valley is behind everything that's been happening in the city lately. Gao Chong, who doesn't want to fully believe ZJ's words, asks ZJ if he's sure ALZ was killed by the ghosts of Ghost Valley. SS says it's obvious because that night he followed ALZ to a place littered with scraps of yellow tissue paper. SS recalls the time when he was walking through the city streets at night and noticed a bloody sword stuck in a wall. SS explains that immediately after he returned to Sanbai Manor, Ghost Valley demonstrated its power by hanging bodies in plain sight. He added that Ghost Valley has no inhibitions. These words surprise ZJ, who begins to understand that at that time, SS didn't have Sanbai Manor under his control. He asks SS, saying that yesterday, when he got drunk, ZJ sent him home early. SS waves him off. ZJ asks if SS followed ALZ to take the Glazed Armor from him. This question surprises SS, who looks at ZJ. With this question, ZJ wanted to create uncertainty, question the words and explanations of the SS and direct suspicion towards him regarding his behavior so that the SS would not be able to defend itself later and ZJ could save face.
This time, we have ZZH's photos from the September 11, 2019, official opening ceremony (开机仪式 / boot ceremony) of The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion (《如意芳霏》 / Ruyi Fangfei) in Hengdian (横店). It was a period drama with elements of romance and was adapted from Xiao Jiaren's novel 宠后之路, starring Xu Jin (徐晋 / Prince Su) and Ju Jingyi as Fu Rong. Filming began on September 11, 2019, and began airing on October 21, 2020, on iQIYI. We remember that in Chinese film and TV series productions, a standard opening ceremony with incense is required to ensure the success of the shoot, hence ZZH and the crew with incense. ZZH appeared in ordinary everyday clothes, but I think they were appropriately chosen. ZZH had short, black-looking hair with a light, natural style. He also wore large, dark, rectangular sunglasses with dark frames, a very distinctive element, giving him a cool, slightly mysterious, and "street" look. He wore a black T-shirt with a print in the style of traditional Chinese painting, featuring white plum branches, large white characters "如意" (Ruyi – "Anything according to your wishes"), and a red seal. I think this T-shirt was a dedicated T-shirt for the opening of filming, referencing the title of the series in which ZZH was to appear. He wore black athletic pants with red stripes down the sides. In the photos, he's shown holding incense, focused and slightly bent over. There's also a profile shot of him smiling broadly and clapping his hands. We see his athletic, slim figure, defined jawline, and overall youthful, fresh look. The outfit he wore back then is casual, modern, and somewhat "artistic casual"—a contrast to his later historical costumes in the series. The reception of the photos from the opening ceremony of the set of The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion was overwhelmingly positive among fans, especially with the announcement of the return of the duo ZZH + JJY (after Legend of Yunxi / 《芸汐传》). Fans reacted enthusiastically to the return of their favorite acting pair. The strongest emotion was excitement that ZZH and JJY were acting together again. Comments like "finally official!", "we've been waiting for this," and "they'll be together again" dominated fan club posts (e.g., the Taiwanese one). Fans commented that it was a pleasant surprise and that they expected a sweet, light story (as opposed to Yunxi's more dramatic one). ZZH, wearing a black T-shirt printed with "如意" and large dark sunglasses with incense, was praised as "酷帅" (cool and handsome), "帅气依旧" (still so handsome), and "又帅又酷." Fans noted his short hair, athletic figure, smile, and overall casual, modern vibe (since he hadn't yet worn a period costume). The outfit, with glasses and a black T-shirt with a floral motif, was considered stylish and suited his image at the time. Many well-wishes poured in. Comments like "we wish you successful filming," "may the show go well," "we're waiting for the costumes and scenes," and "I'm sitting here waiting for Zhang's roadshow/looks," were plentiful. There were also jokes about "quick CP" and expectations for hilarious behind-the-scenes moments. In 2019, ZZH wasn't yet a top actor, so the response was more warm and loyal from his existing fan base than mass hysteria. Media and articles at the time emphasized that fans were happy for the couple's reunion and that ZZH looked "cool" in a modern outfit. Photos with incense (a standard element of Chinese commencement ceremonies) were treated as beautiful, authentic shots from the set. Later compilations of the same photos (even years later) still garner positive comments like "so young and handsome," "I love that smile," and "Xu Jin already looked good back then."
WOH, Episode 10. Part 3. Meanwhile, after what happened and what he heard from ZZS, WKX decided to relax, because that's probably how he manages to quiet his guilt. His choice is simple: he spends his time eating and drinking with four women. On the table is a box containing more pieces of fake Glazed Armor, and WKX, clearly drunk, dips his hand into the box, takes the pieces of fake Glazed Armor, lifts them up, and then throws them into the box. The women standing and sitting next to WKX are clearly delighted, although I'm not sure if they know what these pieces of glass are. WKX asks the women if the pieces of glass look okay, and they confirm this. One of them asks why the glass is broken and regrets it. Another woman gently rubs WKX's back. WKX replies that precious things rarely last. After a moment, he adds that the Rainbow Clouds have dispersed and Glazed Armor is shattered. WKX seems to be absent-minded, not particularly interested in the company of women; they are only there to keep him from feeling lonely. One of the women serves food to WKX, who pours out pieces of gold from a bag. The women are very interested in the gold; they want to take the pieces, but WKX slaps them into their hands, and the women cautiously withdraw their hands and smile happily at WKX. WKX picks up a jug of wine and asks the women who will drink wine with him today. He explains to the women that one jug of wine is for one gold nugget. Hearing this, the women snatch the jug of wine from their hands, each wanting the gold. The women and WKX begin drinking the wine. One of them tells the others to pour some wine into her glass. WKX watches the women drinking. WKX recalls sitting with ZZS at an inn, and ZZS telling WKX that WKX wanted to gather as many good deeds as possible. WKX replied that until he eradicated all evil, he would not go to heaven. WKX also said that where there is light, there is also darkness, and the cruelest of devils wear human skin. They hide in crowds of people. He explained that, truth be told, he had come to WKX specifically to reveal their true colors and turn them to dust. He asked ZZS if this was a good deed. This memory makes him realize that ZZS probably didn't understand what WKX was trying to convey with these words: that he wanted to convince him that all evil comes from the Five Lakes Alliance, and that he was the only one who intended to restore justice. Elsewhere in the evening, ZZS spends time at the inn, drinking wine to excess. He is already very drunk and looks around with a distant look. He seems incredibly unhappy and disappointed with what he has discovered. He hoped WKX wasn't a bad person, but what he saw and learned about WKX disappointed him. ZZS tells himself that until he eradicates all evil, he won't go to heaven. ZZS repeats the words WKX had spoken earlier, and they painfully remind him of him. Then he goes back to drinking, and at some point, ZZS loses his balance and falls backward. On the table in front of him are many empty bottles. The waiter, clearing the counter, looks at ZZS; he seems to be their last customer sitting at the table. ZZS states that nothing is impossible in this world, and it seems as if he's addressing someone with these words. He adds that fools always bring trouble upon themselves, and then starts laughing. Then ZZS goes back to drinking and calls the waiter for wine. Like WKX, ZZS drowns his sorrows in alcohol, but neither knows that alcohol will solve their problems, only an honest conversation, which they are unable to have on their own. The rift that has developed between ZZS and WKX seems irreparable. Both are proud and both struggle to communicate properly, and that's their biggest problem.
On August 25, 2018, a promotion for the NARS cosmetics brand took place in Beijing (partly as part of Tmall Super Brand Day / "探秘NARS" / House of NARS, a limited-edition pop-up store with themed makeup areas). NARS invited several celebrities, including ZZH, Zhang Hanyu, and Zhang Yuqi, to the event. It was a product promotion (including lipsticks, blushes, and concealers) tied to Tmall Super Brand Day. It's from this event that I want to share photos of ZZH. At the time, ZZH was around 27 years old. Looking at his appearance, we see dark brown, slightly black-looking, slightly unruly, messy hair, slightly longer in the front, naturally styled, and sometimes slightly up. In the photos, we can see that he has a delicate, fair complexion, distinct facial features, large eyes, natural, light makeup, and in some shots, a subtle tint on his lips. ZZH shows off his slender, tall figure and a masculine, yet elegant presence. For this event, ZZH wore a white, slightly loose-fitting shirt with long sleeves, often rolled up to the elbow or three-quarters. Underneath, he wore what looked like a white T-shirt with a dark print. He paired it with black, slightly fitted trousers and white sneakers. One could describe it as a minimalist, casual-chic look, so clean, fresh, "pure-white" against the backdrop of red and black NARS elements (lipsticks, displays, posters with the François Nars quote, "I have a love affair with lipstick"). The style he chose for this event is cohesive, relaxed, and youthful, perfectly suited to promoting cosmetics, emphasizing a fresh, approachable image. The event coincided with the official opening of the NARS store on Tmall. The "House of NARS" pop-up in Sanlitun featured themed areas dedicated to these categories (Blush Room, Power Matte Room, Radiant Room, etc.). The reception to the NARS event on August 25, 2018, was generally positive and effective in terms of marketing, although media and public attention focused primarily on another guest, Zhang Hanyu (张涵予). NARS achieved strong commercial results: the Tmall store gained approximately 310,000 new fans that day, and categories such as blush, lip liners, eyeshadow, concealer, and contouring achieved strong sales positions (some of them number one in their respective categories). The #探秘NARS theme and the event itself generated significant traffic on social media. However, the biggest media buzz and discussion was generated by Zhang Hanyu – a tough, masculine actor (known for his roles as policemen/soldiers) posing with lipsticks and makeup. The "hard man + lipstick" contrast went viral, hit hot searches, and was widely commented on in marketing articles as a successful (if unusual) PR move. ZZH, Zhang Yuqi, and other guests were mentioned as celebrities in attendance, but they didn't dominate mainstream coverage. In 2018, ZZH was still in the ascendant phase of his popularity (the Legend of Yunxi / 《芸汐传》 period), so his presence didn't generate as much buzz as Zhang Hanyu. However, his fan reactions were clearly positive. Fans praised his appearance – fresh, youthful, and elegant in a white shirt. They often noted that he looked good in a casual-chic style and fit the NARS aesthetic. Photos and short videos from the event were later eagerly archived and shared (many fan videos on YouTube from 2021+ include positive comments like "always so pretty," "I love this look," heart emojis, and admiration for his face/hair). Fans treated it as a normal, beautiful business presentation from the young actor. For the NARS brand, the event was a success (increased sales and fans, plus media buzz thanks to Zhang Hanyu). For ZZH fans, it was a pleasant, aesthetically pleasing moment that they enjoyed watching again and again for its look and styling.
WOH, Episode 10, Part 2. A desperate WKX shouts an accusation at ZZS. And it's a very strong accusation, proving that WKX knows ZZS's past. Hearing him called WKX and what she accuses him of, ZZS is surprised and perhaps devastated. I don't think he expected to hear such words from WKX. Even though ZZS knew WKX recognized him, WKX's words were so surprising that ZZS couldn't immediately respond. For a long moment, the two men stare at each other. Both are devastated because they were both hurt in their own way, whether by words or actions. WKX wanted to shift some of the blame by accusing ZZS of being no better than him. But when he saw the look on ZZS's face and the despair in his eyes, he realized he had made a mistake in making such a vehement accusation. He realized that in an instant, he had ruined everything he wanted to build with ZZS. ZZS could only say one word: "good," and then added "very good." Then, barely suppressing his emotions and tears, he slowly stood up and walked away, leaving WKX alone. Only now did WKX's emotions subside, and with a sigh, he relaxed his tense body and gazed at the excavated earth. ZZS, meanwhile, returned to Yuefan Tower and, standing on its highest floor, gazed straight ahead. ZZS returned to the place where he and WKX had previously watched the Four Sages and spoke of their bond as the ideal "zhiji" relationship he himself dreamed of in his limited lifespan. He recalled WKX's words, asking him if Commander Zhou claimed he only killed bad people. These words evoked memories ZZS probably wanted to forget. We see one of them, when ZZS and Tian Chuang warriors slaughtered a Nic in a house. ZZS, wearing a mask, walks through the domain of another, sword lowered, amidst the fallen corpses. At one point, a bloody girl grabs his robe, and ZZS looks at her, calling him "uncle." ZZS removes his mask, and the child repeats the word "uncle," as if hoping the tall man in black will help her. Then another memory flashes in ZZS's mind, one of him killing the military governor, and then another of the governor's daughter drinking the poison he had given her. Finally, he sees ZZS hammering the last nail into Mr. Bi's body. ZZS now realizes that all the people he saw in his memories were innocent. And yet, in one way or another, he had robbed them of their lives. ZZS understands that, given his past, he shouldn't judge WKX harshly. Standing alone on the tower, ZZS says aloud to himself that he truly thought WIX was his soulmate. He then remarks that how can someone like them be asked about their lives, and feels that people like him and WKX hate being questioned about their lives. He believes he made a mistake in expecting WKX to be his soulmate. This is a moment of deep doubt, loneliness, and confrontation with his own past for ZZS. ZZS feels betrayed not only by WKX's actions but also by his own hopes for true intimacy. He is so deeply devastated by what he has seen and experienced that he fails to notice HY observing him from afar. HY wants to protect his former commander and secretly observes him. He sees that ZZS is sad and desires to discover the reasons for this sadness. The scene highlights the rift between them and ZZS's internal conflict between his desire for freedom and friendship and the burden of his past.

Today's photos are from ZZH's photoshoot for the Chinese magazine NeufMode (九号摩登 / NeufMode Style), published around May 1-2, 2020. Looking at these photos, we see ZZH with medium-length, layered, slightly disheveled hair, with bangs falling over his forehead. The hair is dark brown with subtle, warmer (slightly reddish) highlights, especially visible in the lighting. The hairstyle is natural, "soft," boyish, yet carefully styled. Focusing on his face, we can see delicate, boyish-masculine features—high cheekbones, a defined jawline, and large, expressive eyes. The makeup is natural, yet refined in a "glass skin" style: fresh, smooth complexion, subtle blush on the cheeks, a light smoky/orange-brown eyeshadow that adds depth and melancholy to the look, and coral-pink, slightly glossy lips. The overall impression is one of soft, handsome, romantic, and artistic style. Regarding this particular ZZH outfit, ZZH is wearing a light, mint-blue sweater with a distinctive cable knit. It's slightly oversized, loose, and has a round neckline, making it feel very soft to the touch. The jewelry is a key element here: a silver chain with a square, decorative pendant (a metal frame with a crystal/pearl element or a stone in the center, sometimes with gold accents). The backdrop is bright, soft daylight, a neutral white or cream background (wall), and natural shadows. ZZH's poses are calm, artistic—looking down or to the side, slightly tilting his head, and sitting relaxed. The overall style is delicate, soft, and artistic, typical of Chinese fashion shoots from 2020. The magazine also cites credits (including a Loro Piana sweater and a Liberté/ame necklace by Forevermark). The reception of the shoot was overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic. Fans praised it as elegant, artistic, and showcasing ZZH's "soft handsome"/delicate masculinity (软帅, 温柔系). They emphasized the contrast with his earlier, more edgy or costumed images, which emphasized softness, melancholy, "glass skin," expressive eyes, and a boyish-romantic aura. The photography, lighting, and atmosphere of the shoot were often described as having a unique atmosphere (氛围感). The most common comments included:
• "好帅啊!/ So handsome!" – definitely the most popular.
• “哲瀚好漂亮 / Zhehan is so beautiful”, “太美了 / Too beautiful”.
• “太温柔了 / So delicate”, “软帅 / Soft handsome”.
• “这气质绝了 / This aura is amazing.”
• “这组杂志拍得太有氛围了 / This photoshoot has an amazing atmosphere.”
• “期待更多这样的杂志拍摄 / Looking forward to more shoots like this” – many saw it as a potential fashion/premium campaign.
The comments under the videos from the set (花絮) from this session included:
• “小哲‘公主’太美了吧” (Xiao Zhe ‘princess’ is too beautiful).
• “這髮型好美啊😍” (This hairstyle is so beautiful).
• “天生麗質難自棄” (Natural beauty that cannot be hidden).
• “哦,那身板簡直讓人🤤!帥到,美到極緻了!” (This figure makes me drool…handsome and beautiful to the extreme).
• “不要做寸头了, 跟這款造型沒得比。髮形映响很大” (Don't wear your hair short anymore, this style is incomparable – the hairstyle makes a huge difference).
• “这套大爱 太美啦!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” (I love this outfit, it's too beautiful!!!). International fans added heart emojis, "Lovely expressions," "ZZH 👍👍👍😘😘😘" and highlighted her melancholic, artistic expression. Fans considered the shoot one of ZZH's prettier, "softer" looks from this period. The NeufMode (九号摩登) shoot from May 2020 was accompanied by a short video/interview. It wasn't a long, traditional press interview, but a short promotional video for the shoot and magazine, titled something like "充满体验思考 观察挑战的哲学人生" (full of experiences, thoughts, observations, and challenges – a philosophical life). It has a strong "story feel" and an artistic character. ZZH has said that throughout these years, he has still stuck to the simple logic of being an actor: you first have to acknowledge the role before you can become it. He describes the acting profession as "relatively passive" – it's often difficult to clearly distinguish between upcoming events and crises. Therefore, he approaches it with a degree of detachment: "So I'm very open-minded. Some things are beyond my control." I just do my best." The materials focus on his approach to acting, his experience, observations, and challenges—hence the title, "A Philosophical Life." The "interview" itself is this concise, reflective clip linked to the magazine.
WOH, episode 10. Part 1. Right at the beginning, we see the bodies of all four Sages of Anja, lying neatly arranged on the ground covered with white stone. This may be the area around their manor. After a moment, we see WKX kneeling nearby on the railway, struggling to dig a hole. He uses a sword, which breaks at one point. This, however, doesn't deter WKX, who continues his work. We see the earth around him that has been shoveled out of the hole. ZZS approaches WKX, who is concentrating on his work. Seeing someone approaching, WKX stops his work and looks at the newcomer. ZZS, already wearing different robes, looks sadly at WKX. WKX looks despondent and internally broken. He is unable to look ZZS directly in the face and stares at the ground. He tries to explain this and addresses ZZS, still calling him Ah Xu, saying that his bloodlust seems to be getting out of control. He asks him why every time he sees him, WKX has to kill or bury someone. ZZS looks around. What WKX is doing is just an attempt to soothe his conscience. WKX says that the world of warriors is full of evil, and ZZS looks at the bodies of the elderly. Just recently, he spoke of them and admired their skills. He envied them for becoming soulmates, but now only dead bodies remain. WKX continues to say that it's hard to live in such a world. After a moment, he tells the Sages to rest in peace and to remember them in the afterlife so that in their next life they won't be so gullible. Hearing these words, ZZS looks at WKX, who tells the Sages to choose their friends carefully. WKX continues to say that death is supposedly the other side of life, but they died in vain. Looking at WKX, he experiences this very emotionally. When he falls silent, he goes back to digging in the ground. ZZS begins to speak and states that people say that when someone makes their bed, they sleep soundly. He adds in a calm voice that he doesn't intend to argue with WKX now. He states that the Four Wise Men of Anja weren't bad people. He continues, looking straight ahead, saying that they died completely unnecessarily. WKX understands that what ZZS is saying refers to him and continues digging. ZZS finally kneels down beside WKX, takes his hand, and asks him by name if he's happy and satisfied. When WKX remains silent and tries to process ZZS's words, ZZS asks if WKX wanted this. ZZS must also be devastated by what he's seen and wants to force WKX to reconsider his actions with his words. He doesn't know that his words deeply hurt WKX, who witnessed the events at Renyi Manor. ZZS believes WKX is devoid of human reflexes and has no regard for the lives of innocent people. WKX, hearing ZZS's accusing words, smiles because he can't cry, surprising ZZS, who looks at him as if he were insane. WKX mutters two words to himself: "bad people," and yanks the sword from ZZS's hand. Then, in a broken voice, he says that the sages weren't bad, looking directly into ZZS's eyes as he says this. Finally, turning to ZZS, he asks him, as Commander Zhou, if he claims that he has only killed bad people in his life. WKX is driven to the brink; ZZS's words tear at his heart and soul. He knows that what happened is an indirect consequence of his actions. But it's difficult for him to understand that ZZS, with the lives of innocent people on his conscience, is making such accusations. Therefore, he asks ZZS if he has also killed innocent people. Perhaps he didn't mean to say it that way, but it was his defensive reaction.
