Oh no, just the usual hitting with bludgers! Though if I’m honest I guess the normal hitting bludgers is always a bit more satisfying when we’re playing against those Slytherin jerks, but I’ve never actually tried to hurt someone with a bludger for personal reasons. Just for quidditch reasons. I dunno if that’s much better but you already knew I’m a beater so. Ha! Right, just a bit. Ha! Glad they did. I don’t blame you for being worried though. I’m still figuring out how to talk to my mates and my family about all this. I mean I know they won’t care but I dunno, I guess I’m worried they’ll be upset I was hiding it from them? Yeah, good point, clearly they were arseholes. Arseholes feels like an understatement, really. I don’t think it should have mattered even if you were hitting on them (assuming you weren’t following anyone into the bathroom (that was a joke)), but I guess it’s even worse they did it for nothing. Ha! I like the joke. It’s true though cornering someone in a bathroom to hit on them is really low. Still wouldn’t hit someone for it but I know exactly how uncomfortable that is. Yeah, it is. I thought about telling people before the whole getting beat up thing. Even a little after, when the blokes turned out to be so chill about it. And I’ve always been very clear that I’m not interested in dating any birds. I just don’t add that it’s because I’m gay. But I’m not gonna lie about it. No one’s ever asked why I don’t want to date any birds. I know the blokes would have my back at school if needed. Which makes it easier truthfully. I think I’d be a lot more nervous about someone at school finding out if I didn’t know how they’d react.

The thing is there are some people who think that being gay means there’s something wrong with me. I dunno why, I guess some people just really like being arseholes. But it caused some problems. It’s why I don’t really talk about it at school. I got beat up by my old muggle friends classmates. We had to move. My best mates found out cause of all of that. They don’t care though. More birds for them. They’re really great. So that’s why you probably haven’t heard about it. Lots of gay blokes have shitty things happen when people find out. Easier I guess not to talk about it. Safer.

Still feel like I’m missing something but at least now I know she was just awful. Turns out she was just awful. Ed is a good mate, he felt bad he didn’t realize how awful she was sooner but I wasn’t really saying anything about it. Though I asked Vinnie about the joke testing some more and he told me some of the jokes were painful. He ended up at St. Mungo’s with a swollen tongue from some bee in a chocolate prank. Literally a live bee in a hollow ball of chocolate. He said they tested it for a while because the bees kept dying so he was real surprised when he bit into one and the bee got his tongue. Anyway, not to sound like a wimp or anything but it doesn’t really sound as cool. I don’t mind getting hurt or anything in the pursuit of some fun, sort of inevitable when you’re me, but I don’t actually like getting hurt. Or try for it. Though I’m also surprised the bee in chocolate never made it to Honeydukes. Ha!  Yeah, getting eaten isn’t very badarse you’re right. I can be but I’m glad you don’t think I was being mean. Ha! Get’s confusing. I mean it. I know I don’t know a lot about this stuff and we haven’t hung out in person unless you count when you came to the club but it’s clear that quidditch is something you care about. Feels like that’s probably a good thing for a quidditch captain. But isn’t it all on the pitch? The locker rooms or whatever count as the pitch, right? Plus, like you said, Ben’s confident, and I’ve heard the blokes talking about him so I feel like he is pretty competitive, doesn’t seem like he’d try to give it to you if he didn’t think you could do it. I dunno if it’s gonna happen so I’ve only mentioned it to Ed and Tommy (and now you), but Ben was asking me about if I wanna be captain next year. Ha! Good to know, thanks, I will let you know. Ha! Good question, maybe so. If no one wins does that mean neither of us has to tell an embarrassing story or both of us have to tell one? Ha! I dunno, maybe a bit. It’s really fun playing with the pros and I really don’t like classes, but there’s also a lot about Hogwarts I’d miss. Mostly my mates and playing quidditch with them. Plus, don’t tell anyone this (especially any Gryffindor quidditch players, please) but Ben Bones told me he recommended me for quidditch Captain next year. Not sure if that’ll happen but might be cool. And I miss home. Not sure I’d wanna stay this far away for a whole year or even more than that. Ha! Well now I’m even more nervous, thanks for that. You have a lot of faith in me I don’t get why, I appreciate it. Starting with a quidditch party sounds good, as long as it’s not Gryffindor/Hufflepuff. Be awkward to hang around after my team beats yours.

It is, but I’m glad we’re talking now. Ha! That would have been great. On the off chance any girls try to ask me out next year I might take you up on that offer. Ha! Fair enough, might be cheating. Maybe this is a stupid question but how does he sell coffee and sandwiches when he wears the hook instead of the hand? That’s good to know, honestly he sounds like a bit intimidating. Oh wow, really? That’s cool, I also figured it would have been all dark and stuff. Glad it’s not, at least not where you are. Ha! I dunno if setting things on fire is ever predictable, but maybe. Ha! Yep, it’s so rad talking quidditch with a pro. Especially in a different league, there’s some differences in how they play here so it’s fascinating to hear about all that. Drinking it in the morning seems like it was definitely the better choice. I had a bit of a rough morning here. Wasn’t late for anything, just more tired than normal. I guess Louis expected that ‘cause he brought me more coffee this morning, which was nice of him but I sort of ended up dumping it out into a bush on the way to the stadium when he wasn’t looking. I still feel bad about it but it’s just so gross! Plus I’d rather be tired than try to fly jittery. Thankfully practice still went well. We’ve just gone one more tomorrow, which gave me a good excuse to just call it a night early tonight. I just went back to the hotel after dinner, I’m sitting out on the patio writing to you and it’s honestly been my favorite evening here. And as soon as I finish this, I’m going to sleep. Which is now, I think, because that’s about it for tonight.

You are way nicer than me. I didn’t drink all mine. Which might be why Vinnie said I drank my coffee like a little girl. I dunno, I’m with you on the not thinking little girls drank coffee. Ha! Nah, he’s not scary, he’s cool! Right? He’s awesome. Plus he’s had a few different careers so I feel a little better about not knowing what I wanna do. It’s not a stupid question, he can do a surprising amount with the hook. But he usually wears a fake hand instead of the hook when he’s doing the coffee and sandwiches. Apparently the hook makes some people nervous. Which I think might be why he wears it, which is really cool right? The hand is cool too. He says he could have gotten one that looked like his actual hand but instead he got one that changes color. It moves like a real hand though. Ha!  He’s a chill bloke, I promise. At the most a scary grandpa. Yeah, it’s really cool looking. It’s kind of dark when I first get there but once people start coming in it’s not so bad. You’re still very much underground, but there’s a fountain and the ceiling is really tall. Plus there’s so many bloody people! It’s worse than trying to get to lunch at school. I wouldn’t wanna spend all day here but it’s not bad in small bits. Maybe I’ll just sell papers for a few years. Might not be too bad. Aside from the fact that I’d probably be stuck living at my parents’ till I got a better paying job. But plan b in case coming up with gross flavors at Honeydukes does’t work out. Ha! Yeah but the blokes and I and fire seem to be. And as predicted we found something to set on fire! That’s cool! Wow, spending some time with this Louise fellow huh? Sorry to hear you were so tired. I think dumping it in the bush was the right choice. I’m with you tired is better than jittery. Glad it didn’t get in the way of practice. Yeah? That sounds like a nice night. Right! I’m enjoying it. Wow. Wish we’d started talking before now. Maybe you could have helped me avoid the whole girlfriend situation to begin with. I mean she was scary so I dunno if I’d have had the guts to say no to her anyways but I was also just sort of hoping I’d figure out why everyone else seems so keen on dating. You definitely won’t have to worry about that from me, though I may keep that in mind if quidditch talk doesn’t bore you enough to win our bet. Yeah, Louis is really cool. Hung out with me at the club in the city the team went to tonight and we ended up leaving early and going to a local cafe instead. That was way more my speed so it was nice of him to leave with me. The croissants there were even better than the ones at my hotel. And apparently you have to have coffee with them, but I wasn’t really a fan. Plus it made me feel all weird and jittery. I never stay up this late but I couldn’t sleep. Good news is it meant I could answer your letter tonight instead of waiting until tomorrow. This photo is evidence of why no one should drink coffee after dinner. Or ever, if you ask me. At first I thought it’d be weird being underground but you don’t even realize it. The part where I’m at, the atrium, is so big. But I dunno what the rest is like. Clearly not cool. Ha! Yeah, I’m pretty predictable. So wait like a date? That’s cool. Must have been a lot of quidditch talk. Or not. Yeah, the coffee I had made me feel a lot like that too. It wasn’t so bad because I had it in the morning though. I think I might be a tea bloke too. But France looks like it’s agreeing with you. That was dumb.
