Photographing any subject, women in particular, who are not models by profession tend to be my favorite. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to capture a living, breathing RAW person exactly as they are through my point of view. It excites me to show that "not-a-model" subject, MY vision of them. My vision may not impact or influence them immediately but, I know how powerful an image of yourself can be. We look at ourselves in the mirror every single day and forget the details. Our own interpretation of ourselves can be harsh and destructive. To be able to direct attention back to those details and remind them of the beautiful little things they overlook, is where my heart thrives. It is why I became obsessed with the artform. Anyway! I shot some sample images with it today and I must admit I am VERY impressed with Sigma. Can’t wait to start using it for my Professional work.
