i have always thought melanie should have gone full avatar i understand the impulse to be like wellll i like this character so i want her to heal and get better and work through her trauma or whatever but i experience the magnus archives as a horror podcast for sickos and i’m very compelled by the tragic throughline of the entire story which is people getting worse and worse until everything falls apart and you can’t come back. so.
