We’d like to invite you to participate in the Jonsa Valentine 2021 fandom event. As Valentine’s Day falls upon a Sunday this year, we thought we could have a 2 day, weekend event. Here’s the details…

Day 7: Free Day

Dr Jon Snow stretched his hands above his head and yawned. He looked at the watch on his wrist. 

Midnight. Far too late to be at work. He stood with a sigh and begun to pack up the research he’d take home with him. 

He was locking his office door when he heard a loud thud from the artefact wing. 

Probably a cleaner, knocking something over. He shrugged to himself and began to walk towards the exit when he heard it again. Sighing and dropping his bag to the floor he turned and walked to the wing, opening the door with his keycard and the lanyard around his neck. 

“Hello?” He called, flicking on the lights and entering the room. It was always a little cooler here than in the offices. “Anyone here?”

Day 7 / 7 (Sunday 23rd) free day - canon divergent fanfic after 8x05

      The Triumph of Winter: Chapter 1

There were certain things in life that Sansa could count on: the sun would rise in the east, winter would come, and Jon would say goodbye before he left.  They’d been separated several times since they’d first reunited at Castle Black two years ago and each time Jon had made a point to say farewell, his waves to her as he rode away like promises that he would come home to her soon.  She wasn’t certain if he understood on some level how deeply the years spent separated from her family had affected her or if this tradition had been born from his need to remind himself that someone cared that he was gone, but she’d come to cherish these moments between the two of them. It hurt every time he left, just as it hurt that he was always leaving, but in those moments Jon was solely hers and a piece of her knew that he’d fight the whole world to get back to Winterfell and to her. 

Today though, he’d just vanished.  There had been no goodbye.  The only things he’d given her today were a frustrating desire to slap him when he completely shut down her logical argument to the Dragon Queen that the soldiers needed rest and the startling news of his parentage. She’s still reeling from the thought that Jon is not her brother, but her cousin and a Targaryen. Earlier it had seemed as though he was disparaging his bastard status once again and both she and Arya had refuted that he was any less of a Stark than they were. Sansa had assumed at the time that he’d been feeling as if he’d betrayed their father’s memory by bending the knee, so she’d been glad her sister was there to help her drag Jon out of his melancholy. Both of them had quickly learned that that wasn’t the case. Once Bran finished explaining, Arya had walked over to Jon and hugged him fiercely before looking into his eyes and repeating, “You’re my brother. You always have been and nothing will ever change that, including this.”  Sansa had nodded and wrapped her arms around around him. “You’re still Jon,” she had whispered. His arms had tightened around her until she could scarcely breathe before he turned and walked back toward the castle to prepare for his journey.

Her thoughts had been spinning too quickly to force anything else out of her mouth. All she could think about was the danger this placed him in and what a better ruler he’d be than the power-mad woman he seemed determined to support.  She wondered how he felt about learning that the father he’d grown up modeling himself after wasn’t truly his. She wondered how he felt about the fact that his identity as a bastard had been a lie.  She tried not to wonder at the weight inside her chest that had disappeared faster than winter snows melted under spring sunshine.

But they hadn’t had time to discuss any of that.  By the time Sansa got her thoughts in order, Jon was surrounded by people preparing to leave. She’d known it wasn’t the right time to say the words she knew he needed to hear.  And so she’d watched from the ramparts as he rode out of Winterfell without saying goodbye and without turning back.

Day 6:  Parallels / King and Queen / Memories Aka: Jonsa Homecoming King and Queen Au

If you looked up the term ‘golden child’ in the dictionary you would probably find a picture of Sansa Stark. She was a straight A student, she was considerate of others, she was responsible, she volunteered, and started the school’s composting initiative. She was clever and kind and beautiful. So it really didn’t surprise anyone when she was nominated for Homecoming Queen.

Jon Snow on the other hand wasn’t exactly your typical Homecoming King but he got nominated anyway. 

“It’s probably just some stupid underclassmen that think he has dreamy eyes.” Jeyne said as Sansa stood at her locker pulling out books for her next lesson. “He’s not going to win or anything.” Sansa made a non-committal sound.

Sansa is the only Ravenclaw in a family full of Gryffdors. Unlike her rambunctious sibling, she spent most of her time with her nose in a book so it honestly no surprise when she was sorted into Ravenclaw. But family ties are strong, so it’s not uncommon for her to be seen with her families gryffindors housemates just as much as her own housemates, especially one Jon Snow.

Jon is the only Gryffindor in a family full of Slytherines, a disappointment to his family, but they love him nonetheless. He made fast friends with Robb Stark, and became quickly infatuated with his twin, Sansa.

For years he tries to hide what he felt: it wasn’t cool for him to be so in love with his best friends sister! But once Sansa realized her feelings were returned, she never let up until finally he could no longer resist. Their 7th year, if they weren’t studying for their N.E.W.T.S or at quidditch, they could always be found together, much to the disgust of Robb

Final day of the ‘Jonsa: a dream of spring’ celebration hosted by @jonsadreamofspring . I had a lot of fun doing this and also congrats to everyone who joined - I loved seeing all the contributions!

Summary: Future fic. Jon and Sansa alone together. This is part of a different story I’m working on, and planning to finish sometime this century, so there’s not even a hint of a plot here.

Some say that every serial killer wants to be caught at some point. Some say that the chase and all the officials slowly catching up with them is part of the thrill. Some say that without the constant treat of being caught dangling above their heads, serial killers wouldn’t feel the same satisfaction they did when they’ve managed to outsmart everyone once more.

In some cases those people were absolutely and totally wrong.

Jon had seen the change in her ever since she had killed Joffrey Baratheon in cold blood. Her back was straighter when she walked through the streets of London and the smile on her face was brighter when she greeted strangers and friends and foes whenever she passed them. She was no longer a little girl determined to prove society that she was capable of far more than they were willing to give her credits for. She was no longer a victim and she was no longer afraid of what lurked in the dark.

He had started killing because he had truly believed that science could bring back the mother he had lost. He had sought out women who wouldn’t be missed and lived horrible lives anyway and had freed them from their misery to take their organs. He had wanted to be caught, deep down knowing that what he did was wrong and that someone had to stop him.

But for her killing was like freeing herself from all the shackles she had worn for way too long. For the first time ever she was in control of her life. And finally she could judge and execute the monsters who could have done whatever they wanted with whomever they wanted for way too long already.

And even though he still needed to kill to satisfy his own hunger and needs, he also found satisfaction in watching her wield her weapons and murder men and boys who deserved it. He had already loved her long before death had buried its claws in her back, but with every kill and every dark night that passed he loved her more and more.

“May I tell you a story?”

“A story?” There was a spark in those blues eyes for a second, quickly replaced by suspicion. He supposed he deserved that. As children, the others had teased Sansa some over the stories she loved best. He had as well a time or two. “I never knew you to be a storyteller.”

“That’s because I’ve never tried to be but I’d like to for you if you’ll permit me.”

“Alright then.” She was still perched on the edge of the chair with her hands laced together but she was listening.

“Once, there was a boy who dreamed of being a great hero.”

“This sounds like the dreams of many boys.”

“I suppose it is. Do girls dream of being heroes?”

“Yes, though perhaps in quieter ways than boys. No shouting or brandishing of magical swords.”

He snickered and nodded, remembering his and Robb’s antics from boyhood. “That is good because it suits my story.” She opened her mouth to inquire but he continued. He would get to that. “Despite this boy’s very common dreams of accomplishing heroic deeds, vanquishing evil men and rescuing lovely maidens, there were two things he wanted even more.”

“What were they?”
