“Dude,I didn’t even say anything to you,bro”

“Alright, bro, whatever you say, dude.”

Her back is turned to Jonas, so luckily he can’t see the eye roll she gave herself for being so stupid. Calling a guy by his last name is literally forcing yourself into the friend-zone, even if he is her best friend, by definition. But his tone changes to a more playful one, one which Sora has always found comforting because it meant he was still interested in being around her, and she breathes out a little and composes herself. “Well, Netflix doesn’t always have everything great on it,” she counters, smiling over her shoulder at him, and she can’t help her smile from growing a little brighter when she notices how close up behind her he’s gotten when she wasn’t looking. “Fine, you don’t have any, I get it,” she says as she nods, looking around the space and reaching back to tap his stomach lightly. “Netflix it is, you win.”

Jonas halts his footsteps, realising he was a couple inches too close to Sora. Seizing the opportunity, he briefly hugs her tightly from behind in a playful manner, turning his nose up as he speaks. “Well it’s got enough for me, thank you very much.” He retorts, releasing her from his grip. He scoffs as she taps his stomach, finding the touch ticklish. “Good, I always win.” He boasts, returning to the bed before sticking his tongue out at her. “Now, shall we go for... comedy, romance - don’t tell anyone I ever suggested that - or... horror.” he says the last word raspily, biting down on his lip in anticipation. 

“Hell no, Jonas. I have to explain all over again? Fine. He gave us a totally random test, not even teaching us this shit. I tried speaking up and telling him we never went over it, and he started yelling. Just..yelling.”

"Ugh - c’mon, not even a tad amount? Well, I say you get the fucker fired."

Calvin groaned in frustration. This wasn’t the first time he’d gone off on a rampage, and the person he was speaking to stopped listening. He’d always had a tendency to up his vocabulary and speak quickly without thought when his passions were brought up. “I was talking about the election going on in America,” he replied, the annoyance evident in his tone. “Alright, how much are we talking? Twenty bucks an hour? Fifty?”

Smiling with false sympathy, Jonas nodded slowly with a shrug. “Ah, probably why I zoned out-- more of a psychology kind of guy. Politics doesn’t interest me.” At the offer, Jonas tilted his head to the side with a wary squint. “You fuckin’ around with me here?” He said, letting out a single breath of laughter.

“Don’t be a dick.” Link chuckled, rolling his eyes as he sprawled out on Jonas’ bed. “I just thought I’d share how my day went.”

Jonas pursed his lips while sitting up, refraining from smiling, “God, okay, I’m sorry - tell me again. How has your day been, dear Link?” Jonas said while tilting his head and raising a brow. 

“You’re so right,” she indulges him, a playful roll of her eyes and smile breaking through a laugh as she flinches to the side, away from his poking finger. “Alright, alright! What kind of movie selection do you have going on in here, Banks?” she asks him standing up from his bed to walk over to his TV, examining the space for any signs of a DVD or something.

He quirks an eyebrow up at the use of his last name, mildly surprised. “Banks? Hm. I have this thing – you may or may not have heard of it – called Netflix. May or may not have heard of it.” He says in a patronising tone, making his way towards the girl to stand behind her, also looking for the so called selection. “But hey, if you find a a DVD or two here let me know.” He jokes.

I wasn’t even talking to you. you see, this thing in my ear, it’s called a bluetooth.

“Right, of course, forgive me for stupidly thinking that our eye contact meant you were talking to me.”

“I’m talking about how much of a bitch my Calculus professor is! Can you listen instead of complaining, now?”

“That depends-- will you pay me? What makes them such a bitch anyway?”

“Gee, with that kind of enthusiasm, how can a girl resist?” she says with blatant sarcasm before grabbing a pillow from his bed and shoving it in his chest, scoffing playfully.

Jonas laughs, a smirk forming, “You wouldn’t want to, anyway. Who could?” he teases, poking the girl’s side.

I’m not paying you considering you weren’t even listening. 

Okay start again-- I’ll pay attention this time, I got distracted. By food. Sorry.

“Jonas!” Sora exclaims through a laugh, pushing his arm lightly. “All I’m saying is we’ve been in school for like, two weeks now, and I’ve seen you maybe once, and for like, five minutes, and that needs to change.”

Smiling reluctantly, he rolls his eyes while sighing. “I know, I know. Sorry. Here, how about we have a movie night?”

the brunette’s attention moved to the male who dared to speak up. “thank you.” she said tilting her head to the side. “you better, really.” she nodded, a patronizing smile crawling up her face. 

Is that a suggestion or demand? ‘m hoping for your sake, it wasn’t the latter.

“— you know i don’t mind getting caught kicking your teeth down your throat.– i swear to prada and everything pretty in this wold, if you poke me one more time it will be your last memory of having a fucking hand.”

Impressed at the vicious words, Jonas turns around to find the source. “What a mouth. I’ll take notes for the future.” 

“You know there is a window for that? But hey, if you want to be dramatic and say I saved your life, be my guest, I’ll gladly admit to doing that.”

“The window brings cold, the door brings a breeze. Hey, if you don’t fully appreciate my gratitude I may as well just take it back.”
