I have had an unintentional absence of posting on IG for the past little bit: partly because I didn't want to mess up my row of Hufflepuff outfit posts. I wanted the outfit to be perfect and thought I would make a hat out of the leftover fabric... But as I haven't made a hat before and don't have a pattern it is taking me longer then I thought it would. I don't want to post the last outfit photo of that time till I have the at done. I also want to keep posting... So now I think is a good time to start a new theme pattern for my page. Hang in there with my while I work on figuring out what that actually ends up looking like. I went into my fabric stash and found some yellow fabric and brown Velvet. I decided to use a pattern I have, from what I believe is the 1940's. I am really happy with how it turned out. This was the first time in like 10 years where I have done any serious embroidery. I needed to refill my mascara. I honestly can't believe I switched over to cake mascara only 2 years ago. The cake did indeed last me two years and I think now is a great time for a review. 1. There is a definite learning curve. At first it took me forever to do my eyes in the morning compared to the Mascara I had been using (Benefit Roller Lash). Now that I am used to using the product it doesn't feel like it takes me only as much time as I want it to. 2. I found it surprisingly buildable. I have naturally long eyelashes but they aren't as dark as I would like. For most days I just to one or two coats and that's enough to darken my eyelashes with out being too heavy. But I am still able to do more dramatic eyelash looks with it as well. 3. It's a great multipurpose toll in my makeup toolkit. I use it both as mascara but also as eyeliner. 4. I love the new refill option. When I originally ordered this you could only order them in the tins. This refill option is also better for the planet with how the package is made. 5. My last point and only down side. This Mascara is not waterproof. I understand why and am in to way complaining. The Mascara is activated by water before being applied to the eyes. If I know I am going to cry or have a chance of crying I don't wear it and I rarely ever apply Mascara toy bottom lash line. Two things I did for the first time this past weekend: Take a fight by my self (usually I have been with family or a group from school) and took an Uber from the airport to my destination all without having a panic attack! I have a bit of travel anxiety but I usually am able to handle it pretty well when I am with people I know. The last time I traveled by myself I was immensely anxious and stressed the entire time. While this might seem like a small accomplishment for some, but considering everything going down with covid-19 right now I am going to claim this as a victory for me.
