"Big Men", the most educational documentary we have seen thus far. This film is about issues the world doesn’t always look into anymore but we should because it opens into so much more. The director said herself she wanted people to see the layers in this film and the 2 stories which had nothing to so with each other could work so well together and flow almost seamlessly. This happened I think because the stories were so similar, the only thing separating them was their timing. I definitely saw this in the film and I think that it really made a powerful impact. While talking about this director I really need to commend her for her effort. It seems truly inspirational to hear how she got hee contacts in the oil industry in any country. Her patients to wait for so long to gain the trust of those people and for the story to just pan out, is something I wish I could do. (My patients would get to me in the first year..) Also that she could gain that trust really let the audience see more than we would have if that trust level was not there. I hope to see this movie showing in educational settings around the world and teaching people about issues that are not always seen.

This film was a great example of an expedition. People start off with a definite goal in mind, but after a while, it always goes to the abstract thoughts like the meaning of life. The director caught really great scenes of this with close ins of some of the scientists in the bunk rooms.

All Points North was not what I expected, I thought we would be going in watching a meeting. But the directors weren’t just proposing to the board but to the audience. The points North pitch was the most interesting part of the festival so far. The film directors were very organized during their brief seven minute pitches. As someone who has worked with women’s and girl’s leadership groups before, the film id most like to see helped out is What Tomorrow Brings....
