Painted scenes depicting life at a Burmese court. An elephant hunt.
Verses from Night the Third.
Illustration: the author supporting a female figure, and presenting her to the sun; whose aid he seems to solicit, and whose chariot is seen above, surrounded by and in some measure obscured by clouds. The artist refers to the circumstance alluded to in the poem, of the author's having attended his step daughter (Narcissa) who was languishing in a decline, to a more southern climate. The engraving has been hand coloured by William Blake.
