Most of us that served in Vietnam were occasionally treated to some entertainment like Go-Go Dancers, singers and musicians who would come to Vietnam and entertain us. Although combat troops dominated the news during the Vietnam War, much was owed to the vast armada of support personnel who backed the fighting troops up. The Brown Water Navy's Swift boats were the workhorses in the Delta region during the #VietnamWar. Its shallow draft allowed patrols in many of the streams & rivers to prevent the enemy from using these waterways. In March 1971, the 25th Infantry Division was leaving Vietnam. Those with less than nine months in-country were reassigned; I went to the 101st and many of my friends went to the Americal and FSB Mary Ann.
