Another day another rant. Ichihime shippers piss me off so much it's not even a joke, genuinely I did not imagine that such annoying fans would exist. Of course not all of them are annoying, but a lot of them are. Why do they want to force their ship down our throats? Back in 2023-2024 when I was relatively new to the bleach fandom, I was chatting with this one person online cause we both loved bleach. I mentioned that I love bleach and I like ichiruki even more because I was excited to make a friend who also likes bleach, and was like what about you? This person literally started arguing with me for no reason 😭✌️. Like let a girl ship in peace yo. They kept arguing that Rukia is an adult and that shipping her with Ichigo basically makes me a pdfphile 🥀🥀. Kubo literally portrays Rukia being the same age mentally as Ichigo. Shinigami aging is never explicitly stated. Additionally, Isshin and Masaki also have the same age gap, and don't bring in the excuse that Masaki was seventeen when they met and 18 or something when they dated. Turning eighteen does not automatically give your brain a software update to have the maturity of an adult. Moreover, every ship edit I come across of Ichiruki, there's ALWAYS someone in the comments saying

I just can't stop thinking about how at the end of soul society arc, Urahara apologises to Ichigo for keeping the hogyoku a secret. Ichigo tells him that it's alright and that he's not mad at him BUT also tells him to apologise to Rukia even though he thinks she would say the same. I love how he took her into consideration. I actually don't know how to put it into words but I just need to rant. I cannot stop thinking about them. These two literally had the yearning of Yaoi which is like very rare in my opinion to see such emotions in a straight ship in shounen. Usually it's a one sided crush no slow burn no nothing, but these two UGHHH I love them so much. They both stood in equal footing, both of them are warriors. Of course Ichigo is stronger than her but you don't get that sense yk that Rukia is nothing without Ichigo, she isn't centered around him, and that's what makes it so special for me. The fact that both of them have a personality without each other and don't lose it when they are together. They help each other improve character-wise and have such an unmatched bond, whether romantic or platonic. I ship them of course, but it doesn't even matter to be honest whether they are a couple or not. I just love seeing them hangout and spend time and develop together.
