Because this has happened more than you think

Ah yes, the good old time when the running was comedic!! He ran straight to Boris for help, then hightailed it out of the building with the C-bros hot on their tails.

Granted, Boris told him to run here. But really, where did he think he was going to go?

Immediately wants to give up and run back to the way things were, even if by this point, I don’t think that would have been possible anymore. And even if that map could give him a chance at life.

This one’s an edge case that I can’t decide if it counts. Ran away from Cuphead (immediate problem) to Boris (bigger problem?)

Wants to run after killing a man infront of his brother, while his own brother battles with having just taken a life.

If I had a nickel for everytime Boris told bendy to run, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s enough to show a reoccurring pattern

This one is so valid but he does also eat shit immediately afterwards so idk how well running is working out for him.

The time when him and Cuphead had just fused, bendy immediately shifts the topic to something else that doesn’t make him uncomfortable

Everytime Dandy is mentioned, even directly to him, he avoids the question entirely

And you know what?

I don’t blame him for a single one.

He’s a demon, discriminated against to some degree, small and weak unlike most others of his species, chronically ill.

I can’t help but think, everytime he runs, it’s hard. his body can’t sustain it for very long. But if he ever stops running, something will catch up to him. Whether that be a searcher, or his own illness.

Cuphead's not a bad person for taking advantage of the loopholes in his deal with Bendy.

Mugman's not a bad person for blaming the B Bros for his brother's death and the current circumstances.

Boris is not a bad person for not trusting the Cup Twins.

And Bendy is ABSOLUTELY not a bad person for doing what he thought was right in the moment.

Even if he did try to go after Dyle, he likely would have just gotten consumed by the monster before he could actually get Dyle out. Obviously, Dyle was just performing his duties, but he also risked everyone's asses just to save some cargo. I don't blame Dyle, but I also certainly don't blame Bendy. Decisions have to be made, and sometimes they're not gonna be morally good decisions.

To top it off Bendy JUST got his will to live back, he would not risk his or his brother's life right now for a man he has only known for an hour at most.

As am extra cherry on top, Bendy is also not a bad person for feeling good that he has some control over Cuphead and Mugman now.

The Twins and Bros have not had much interaction other than fights at this point. They understandably don't trust each other, so any actions and precautions they take against each other are reasonable.

I WILL DEBATE AND FIGHT ANYONE WHO TRIES TO TELL ME ANY CHARACTER IN THIS COMIC IS COMPLETELY IN THE WRONG. THEY ARE ALL COMPLEX AND WELL WRITTEN AND THEIR ACTIONS MATCH THEIR PERSONALITIES, WORLDVIEWS, AND VALUES. YES, THEY HAVE BEEN SELFISH WHEN MAKING DECISIONS, THAT'S THE POINT, MOST PEOPLE WHO GROW UP IN A WORLD THAT'S UNKIND ARE NOT GOING TO BE INHERENTLY SELFLESS FOR STRANGERS, ESPECIALLY IF BEING SELFLESS POSES A POTENTIAL RISK TO ONESELF.
