i dont have disney+ too i watch on kissasian check if there are episodes on dailymotion or bilibili usually they’re available right after episode release but they get deleted/copyrighted in just a few hours so you have to be fast

also this is definitely very youngest sister core of me but i was so annoyed at the whole premise of devon trying to “save” simone and get her out of the island. literally screaming curses at my tv lol. even more as they continue to reveal details from their background and history.

i knew from the start what kinds of decisions simone would make and people are not gonna like it. i knew people are gonna say big words, and that she’s stupid or a bitch and that wasn’t a happy ending (yes) she’s basically just gonna be another one of peter’s disposable wives (true) but that’s literally the whole point of showing the cycle. surprise surprise (not really surprising) men being the real villains duh.

and can we really blame her for snapping at the thought of being with her father again after all that shit? grown ass woman with a life getting dragged back to her old home that wasn’t her home anymore, they expect her to drop everything in her current life and force her to take care of her abuser fuckass excuse of a father? it was one way or the other for her at that point. held my breath during the entire running scene because jesus fuck the dad saying “devon is gonna be away, it’s me and you again” was so fucking triggering, if i were her i’d literally rather kill myself. and okay none of the women was a monster (it’s kinda funny they had to explicitly say this in the script at the ferry scene ngl) but damn did i hate devon for most of the time in this show lol especially in that scene where simone was wearing a green dress and telling her the details she remembers from that horrible childhood and devon is ready with her one-liner responses to defend their father? my godddd. tho i think my hatred was what made devon’s realization at the end so impactful, god that look on her face as she looked at her little sister. the “you didn’t serve me and i didn’t let you go.” scene? PEAK TV! CINEMA. bawled my eyes out. cried. ew. i love my sisters. hah.
