Paradise Has Dogs

Today started off real shitty, y’all. 

My sweet, friendly, thought she was part-dog, pet chicken got killed last night/this morning. In all honesty, I’m devastated. I was so attached to this bird. She would sit on the porch with me, take naps with the dogs, greet us in the driveway when we pulled in, follow me around everywhere...She was awesome and absolutely did not deserve to go the way she did. 

A raccoon got her. It ripped her to shreds through her cage. 

I went out to give her a cherry tomato this morning, saw raccoon tracks in the dirt leading up to the garden, and my god. What was left of her was horrible. My brain couldn’t really process what I was looking at. It was grisly and I feel so goddamn bad for what happened to her.
