Now spinning, Loggins & Messina “Mother Lode. I know my good friend @merelbregante0422 will say that he finds another album by Loggins & Messina to be the hidden gem among their output, but to me this album is the one that, for better or worse, marks the beginning of the end of Loggins & Messina. Yet while this album was the last one that continued the tradition the group had built with their first four releases, it never quite garnered the acclaim of those previous albums. And that’s too bad. With songs like Jim Messina’s “Be Free” and “Changes” you have two songs that can stand with any in the L&M catalog. Plus the musicianship here is, arguably, the best I’ve heard from the group. If you’re a fan, you probably already have this LP. But when, I ask you, was the last time you gave it a spin? Probably far too long ago. So I say it’s time to dig it out and listen to this wonderful album. If you’ve never heard it, you’re in for a treat. Highly recommended. #lp #rock #county #music #album #albumcoverart #vinyl #vinylcollection #record #recordcollection #stereo #logginsandmessina #audio #analog #audiophile https://www.instagram.com/p/BtbH_nTgiue/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=qepxqod7br9h
