This is the world they grew up in and this is how they were programmed. And none of them were every told how they’re part of the problem. . FUCK. It’s how I was programmed. 💯 honest raw truth. I cringe a little when I see a black persons “out of place”. It’s deep rooted racism WE ALL HAVE INSIDE OF US! But I’m fucking doing something to reprogram myself. So I’m not going to apologize for that feeling, meaning I’m not going to feel shame or embarrassment. I’m well aware. It sucks and I deal with it. . It’s not their fault they were programmed like this. But it is their fault they didn’t change. And they won’t. Don’t matter what you say. Do. Yell. Post. They don’t see it. They won’t. Ever. Unless you empathize!! . . I get what they’re saying. They don’t feel responsible. They just want their town. They don’t want to have to deal with any of this. And yes. In a way. I get it. And you should do. Don’t mean it’s right. Don’t mean it’s justified. But it’s they WAY THEY FEEL, and they have as much a right to their feelings as YOU do . If we’re all in this together. I think it’s important to empathize with EVERYONE, including these folks. Again. I’m not saying I agree. I’m saying I want YOU to understand their frustrations. Trust me. It’s a lot easier to get THEM to understand YOU if you take a brief moment to recognize, even if it’s racist, where they are coming from. I promise. White folk like this are smart. If explained.
