I'm from NorCal. Born and raised in Berkeley. I may not be a LA local, but I am Californian!

I wouldn't say Berkeley's too far away. Really only took me five hours ish to get from the Bay to LA. I was cruisin' all the way down I-5. But uhh, it wasn't trouble at all, well not really... I mean, it took me 3 years to finally grow the balls to tell my parents that I wanted to make music in my future, not play sports. The only trouble that caused was...my dad's pretty pissed off because in his words, "Cal's losing one hell of an athlete" but I'm sure the university recruiters can find someone younger and more athletic -- granted, I was in basically every other team at Cal, but I'm not irreplaceable; there's a whole world full of young athletes that they can recruit to replace me. I'd much rather be out here trying to make a living off my music, and I figured it'd be easier to get discovered here in LA, so I moved my ass out here. No trouble at all, haha!

it must be impossibly lonely around here. do you know anybody in l.a.?

I'm pretty sure there's people from my old high school who go to school out here, but no one I know personally. Oh well, I find pleasure in all the alone time, if I'm being honest. Gives me the opportunity to be one with my music. But you know, I've been out here for a while, I could use some friends, haha!

favorite places around here? why?

Haha, is Disneyland too typical an answer? Umm, I'm not sure. I haven't found my...sanctuary just yet. I will say, I do find myself at Porto's a lot -- those guava cheese rolls and that horchata smoothie, always hit the spot.

hey- say you come home one day and find out you have to go home- and by home, i mean back to your hometown. how would you react and why?

Berkeley will always be my home; it's not like I ran away, I'm just trying to move forward with my life. Although, it would suck if I had to go back because my music wasn't good enough or something. I mean, I left my whole life in Berkeley -- my family, my friends, every sports team I've ever been in, I left behind and...I dropped out of a really prestigious university, I basically gave up my athletic scholarship to pursue this dream. I don't wanna go home unsuccessful in music. If I'm progressing, then that's fine. But I won't go back if nothing positive has happened for me...I can't go back home and disappoint my dad more than I already have.
