RIP Aaron Bushnell.

I understand not watching the video of his self-immolation, but, as he's walking to the Israeli embassy, he says he no longer wants to be complicit in genocide with obvious clarity and lucidity. He pauses before lighting the flame. He must have been terrified. This man did not die because he was mentally ill. Don't let anyone smear him as such.

He sets himself on fire, says "free Palestine," then starts screaming it. He then just starts screaming in agony. Then he screams "free Palestine" again shortly before collapsing. Do not let anyone smear this man as mentally ill. He meant what he said.

U can grieve and still live life. U can miss loving someone and love others. You can hold onto the good moments and simultaneously the bad moments. You can take the learning from a person you let go off and use it for the better. You can love someone and they may not be the right person.
