anything else is just for seatheic purposes so you donât notice my crap I call writing.
Aera was not amused at all the text she received after she was announced on roommate. Especially the ones from her ex-scandal mates. Her inbox was full of text that made her think of a constant one night stand. granted she never gave the guys anything other than her time and company. Some even got her flirtatious side.
[itâs been awhile. Letâs meet drinks! Oppa will treat you.]

[Okay letâs have it benefit you. Iâll buy you dinner?]
[[Where?]]
Aera slapped herself for her reply. Not only had she agreed but she didnât even put up a fight. She reminded herself that she needed this. She needed the face to face confrontation with him. To clear her mind fully. Start fresh, because God knows how long she would be able to keep up her roommate mask.
[French?]
[[Whatever]]
She smiled triumphantly with the last bit of pride she had left. It wasnât like her to just accept anyoneâs invitation especially not at 10:05pm. Aera untangled herself from her members all cuddle on the couch. The movie she had forgotten about was some weird tragic romance movie called Cat Funeral. âOh unnie, are you going back to the roommate house?â Aera shook her head smiling. Lyza had always been a caring maknae. Aera was grateful for the efforts she put in to keep each member taken care of. âIâm going to visit someone.â She ignored the looks she got from her elders. Aera had a few things in mind. To look hot and flirt for the first 5 minutes and then explode. It was a solid plan.Â
âGoing out tonight changes into something red.â
Aera was good at being irrational once she made her mind up. She squeezed in her most revealing dress. It covered enough to not be mistaken for a hooker but showed enough to tease the hell out of someone. Adding lip stain and reapplying her mascara she was happy with how she looked.
âHer mother doesnât like that kinda dress, reminds her of the missing piece of innocents she lost.â
âHow do I look?â Aera smiled brightly at her members. She turned the light on so they could see her better. âAera, I thought you were meeting someone?â Aera cringed remembering who she was meeting and that she was meeting him at all. âWho are you meeting with?â Sooheeâs voice was less loving this time. âHyunwoo.â She whispered. âLittle punk, have you lost you mind? Meeting Hyunwoo? Like that? At this time? After your hiatus?â Aera sighed deeply hoping she would take the hint. âReally Aera? I know it was probably nice to hear some âkindâ words but you canât believe heâs serious.â Aera sighed again. âChill on me unnie. Iâll text you if he tries to pull something. I have a plan.â Aera left on the thin hope that her members would trust her. Besides she was the leader. She wouldnât make stupid mistakes on purpose.
âDriving too fast moon is breaking through her hair, sheâs headed for something that she wonât forget.â
After sneaking around so much, Aera had become an expert at dodging prying eyes. The drive there was a breeze but the wind might have contributed to that feeling. In the parking lot she looked herself over again. (You are Queen J. A queen is never nervous and when she is, she doesnât let the common folk know.) It was the only thought that pulled her out the car.
âHeâs waiting hides behind a cigarette. Heart is beating loud and she doesnât want it to stopâ
(What the fuck!) She screamed internally. Aera guessed they both had the same idea because he looked good and she hated to admit that. âWow, you look really good.â Aera faked a smile and muttered something that sounded like a thank you. Maybe âfuck youâ? Inside the restaurant was predominately empty. Usual for a place that shouldnât even been open this late.
âWeâre only getting older baby and Iâve been thinking out it lately.â
âHowâs your parents?â Aera stopped the eye roll that came automatically at his small talk. âHyunwoo. What do you want really?â Her plan had failed just like that. So much for flirting. So much for five minutes. âWhen did you drop oppa? I know you hate me but Iâm still older. Like I said, I was seeing if youâre okay. A year is along time.â Aera sipped her wine signalling him to go on. He didnât. He stared at her though. She couldnât blame him for it either. âAhjussi, my eyes are here.â She pointed shifting his eyes back to her face. âNow you care? I thought I tainted your image? Almost ruined your entire flop career. Are we an amnesia patient now?â Her voice cracked half way but she pushed on. She needed this. Along with another sip of wine. Nope, something stronger. His silenced frightened her. By now theyâd be in a full blown argument. âCat finally ripped your tongue out?â She sneered drinking more. (Stop. You have to drive home.) âFor once, I canât argue with you.â Aera choked on her spit hearing the confession. âI was and still am not fond of commitment. This time... I know who made me think I can try and be in a real relationship.â Aera looked around as if he was talking about someone else. âMe? Help you, be in a real relationship? Now? Hyunwoo are you feeling okay?â She reached over the table placing a hand on his forehead. âYes, we were so close before..âÂ
âHaving no regrets is all that she really wants.â
Aera sat back down letting her eyes roll freely. âBefore you dropped me once our friendship went public. That was such a sellout move. You know you really suck.â She stood preparing to leave. âYou also have weird feet and you drool in your sleep, itâs not attractive. I was so close to confessing. Tell the next poor soul that you value the public opinion more than relationships. What happens when the cameras turn off? Who is going to stand by the likes of you. I will not be apart of this. Not again. Good luck with your flop career and revelation of wanting to be in a real relationship.â The words flew out her mouth. Not missing a syllable she let it all out. Her tears didnât faze her either. She turned to walk out but remembered something else. âOh and this time, I didnât cause a problem. I was careful.â
âDoes it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes.â
She all but ran to her car. Mentally replying the expression change as she drilled into him. She knew she cut deep. That was her plan to wound him. Not as satisfying as she thought but she felt 100kg lighter. Well, her mind was clear, her shoulders were heavy. Probably from the sobs that escaped as she bent over the steering wheel. A solid 10 minutes passed before a knock on the door made her jump. âGet in the back.â
âBut thereâs nothing to be afraid of even when the night changes.â
Her mascara was a black mess on her face. However she nodded moving into the backseat. The leather seats made small noises as both adults sat. âIâm really sorry.â Aera didnât hear him. Or at least she pretended she didnât. She needed his arm to be around her, pulling her close because who knows when the next time sheâll be able to get an emotional break. He was not her first choice. Nor second or third. Hell, he was not on her list at all. Somehow he found his way back into her life. Albeit it was just a night she enjoyed his heartbeat and soft pats her provided.
âEverything that youâve ever dreamed of disappearing when you wake up.â
âUnnie, wake up! Why are you here? You live in the roommate house!â Aera plugged her ears, trying to avoid the loud screeches Lyza was making. âIâm up, and leaving sorry I scared you.â She grumbled voice far too heavy with sleep. âIâll make you breakfast.â Aera checked her phone as soon as Lyza left the room.
[Our season begins soon. I know youâre still mad. Just thought Iâd check on you, now that youâre off your hiatus. Best Wishes. x.]
She gave her phone a fond smile. At least this much was true.
[[Good luck! Disappointed but not mad. Thanks Iâll be fine without or without your wishes.]]
