Once upon a time, humans and demons lived at odds with each other...

People have always been afraid of things stronger than themselves, which is why they did not trust demons.

People were weak and demons were strong, but not like the gods, who only cared about the welfare of weak people and therefore persecuted demons.

Demons who didn't know their place had to fight for survival, they all cared only about themselves to gain enough power so that they would not be threatened by the celestials...

Until suddenly a wise demon appeared and said: let's stop fighting each other and start fighting together!

The demon's words reached the hearts of many other brave demons, who together decided to form an alliance. Their members were called Magnolia Warriors. The warriors had a common goal: to create a world where demons could live without worrying about survival.

To achieve this goal, warriors had to prove to the gods how powerful a threat the united armies of demons were... When they banded together, no one could stop them, no man or god stood in their way... Until the alliance was torn apart.

No one knows why, but the wise demon-leader of the alliance... Suddenly decided to break the pact between the demons.

It was only a matter of time before the celestials captured her...

The wise demon was captured by the heavens, her punishment became a warning to others. Since then, none of the warriors have ever raised their weapons against celestials again.

Despite this, the wise demon's wonderful dream became an inspiration for many others who decided to make her dream come true... However, no one was as close as her...

Scribble, Scribble...

The little girl smiled at her drawing, she finally finished and was proud of how it looked like, she stood up and walked away, trying not to step on any of her drawings which layed all over the floor.

She succefully avoided the little 'traps' and made it to the wall, on which she hung her best masterpieces, she pinned her new drawing just in the center of the whole board and took a step back to look at them all together.

They were drawings of demons mostly, for example- the blue and orange twins, who were signed as orange and berry guys.

But there were also drawings of humans- like the green ponytail girl and a boy with funny hair that looked like paintbrush.

The one showing a celestial monkey was also pretty good, but she didn't like any of them as much as her recent one- the drawing of the fox demoness with red eyes.

The girl looked at her one more time with eyes full of excitement.

"Just a little longer..." The girl muttered while picking two sheets of paper from the corner, which showed some big demons "I already can't wait to meet you!

She said while heading back to fix her old drawings.

„Go home, Kid"

MK was surprised by words that came from Jie's mouth, even Wukong was a little suspicious but he didn't say anything.

"Is something wrong?"MK asked suddenly feeling nervous

"I've got a feeling that something isn't right" Jie explained quickly with cold expression

MK decided to check his phone, the amount of missing calls from Mei was unbelievable!

"I NEED TO GO!!!" He ran away screaming

Jie looked at the exit of cave for a while with her tail shaking slightly, finally she made a deep breath and lifted her foot towards the outside.

"Stop"

As quickly as she heard her master Jie acted as if someone casted her into the stone.

"Master?" She tilted her head and looked at her master who was standing with his hands crossed and eyes closed.

"Jie..."He started making a step towards her"I appreciate that you've been helping MK, really"

He put his hand on her shoulder.

" But I want you to stop"

Jie's face stiffened, she gently shake off her master's hand from her shoulder and started tidying it from dust (as if it was there).

"Master, you're giving me a lot of strange orders" She sighed loudly "Last time you ordered me to protect the kid, remember?- and now I'm supposed to leave him in danger?"

Monkey King scratched the back of his neck and let out a nervous laugh.

"I know-but hear me out!-I want him to learn a little bit of more... independence"Wukong explained as clearly as he could

Jie's glare was so intense that she could make a hole in her master's face.

Then her face relaxed a little

"As you wish Master..." She said slowly and decided to say something more "But I don't think that depending on others is a bad thing"

For a while both of them were quiet, then Wukong broke the silent

"Jie... I think you know very well that he won't always have someone to depend on"

She didn't answer, because she didn't have anything left to say. In fact she started to feel attached to the boy, she knew very well why, but she also knew how bad it was. Wukong probably saw it too, maybe that's why he decided to distance Jie from MK, if it was true then Jie was glad for that, better get rid of the sprout before it turns into a weed.

"If I may... I'll go anyway"

Wukong looked at her confused, so Jie had to add

"Because I need to protect my house and my dog"

Jie's worries about her home turned out to be true, since when she teleported there she saw a hoard of bull clones. Fortunately none of them entered the house, since Gou was protecting the doors, in fact the spell Jie used to protect her place also turned out to be useful.

In an instant Jie kicked one of the clones, the fact that they were stronger didn't escape her attention since the bull clone was still able to fight her.

"Looks like you've gotten stronger... But do not think that it gives you the right to destroy my home!"

As soon as Jie was able to go inside her house she felt so tired that she sat right next to doors. Since bull clones were coming from heavens know where, fighting didn't help, so Jie decided that a protection barrier will need to be enough, of course she also added some wooden planks to her doors and windows, just to make sure none of those creatures would enter.

Gou was trying to help, he scowled in front of Jie and was ready to transform into his beast form, Jie appreciated it but knew that summoning a giant dog in the middle of the city was a bad idea.

Her thoughts somehow were now flying around MK, she couldn't help but wonder if the boy is alright. At the same time the words of her master were ringing in her head.

'Maybe...I'll just take a look?'

This one sentence evolved into an action, Jie sat comfortably as if she was meditating. She felt energy of every creature near her, but focused on MK's, when she found him she searched for the thing she calls 'vessel' and when she found it, she let her soul fly to it... that's a special technique used by most of fox demons, usually called possession.

The vessel Jie chose was a body of a bull clone which was just laying near them, by 'them' Jie meant MK, Iron Fan, Red Son and DBK.

In fact Jie was a little confused about who's the bad guy, since Iron Fan and her son were standing next to MK, Jie in fact noticed that something was wrong with DBK, she would see what if only she wasn't in the clones body. While possessing a vessel you can't use your powers, that's the main reason why Jie doesn't like this ability.

Still she watched the fight, in the moment that DBK grabbed MK she suddenly felt rising cold in her veins, but then the boy did something incredible! It turned out to be just a clone. Jie knew that it was something he learned from Monkey King, but she also remembered how MK was asking her for a few advices, since she used similar tricks. Somehow it made her kinda proud of him.

After that the fight went quickly, but as Jie was about to watch MK doing his final hit, she realised that a piece of rock was falling at her, dying in someone else's body was risky since it's harder for soul to return to it's original body this way, so she had no choice but to return.

Once Jie was back in her house the first thing she did was look outside the window, she was walking outside relaxed while watching the bull clones fall down.

'Good job, Monkey boy' she praised him in her mind

Then she felt strange... the energy that was escaping from clones bodies... could it be...

"No...no,no,no...."Jie took a step back, her body started trembling, she felt cold sweat on her face"It's not you... you're dead'

As if the souls heard her, they started flowing around her, Jie couldn't even look at them, the fear rose up every second she felt this cold energy.

"Go away..."She muttered with her trembling lips

Her ears became filled with whispers, so many that she couldn't focus on one until it turned into one voice... a woman's voice.

"It doesn't matter how long or fast you'll run...destiny will always find you..."

After that all the energy disappeared as if it was never there, but Jie still felt it... the cold...

Jie's mind was so much troubled with memories that she didn't even notice when Wukong came, as he said, he came to check how was she doing and if her house was still standing.

Somehow Jie managed to calm down when he came.

"Glad that you didn't interfere in kid's fight"He said suddenly

Jie felt guilty all of the sudden

"Well actually..." she tried to apologise before her master find out

"Though I would be more happy if you didn't spy on him"

It was too late!

"Spy... is a strong word master..." Jie tried to get out of this situation

Wukong only sighed loudly, somehow Jie thought that she saw disappointment on his face.

"The kid... he reminds me of someone, very dear to me..." She didn't know why she said it but seeing Wukong pay attention to her she continued "That's why I'm afraid that I might be more protective of him, I'll try to work on it"

As Jie analysed her master's face she saw... something new on his face, but whatever it was she couldn't read it.

"Don't worry. I'm not mad, in fact I'm more of grateful, I didn't expect DBK to gain such a power... for a moment I was afraid too" he said softly "You're an expert when it comes to energy, do you know where that one came from?"

"..."

"No..."

'Or I wish I wouldn't...'

End of season 1

A new exchange of weapons started in the air.

"Well well... must say I am surprised" Macaque was still trying to make Jie lose control "But will you alone stand a chance against us?"

With that a hoard of shadow clones showed before Jie, but Macaque wasn't the only one who knew some tricks, such as illusion.

Jie used her illusion to create a fake image of her, so the real one could strike the simian from the back. Of course Jie's chances were still low, even with the mirror blade and tricks but her goal was only to keep the stinky monkey's attention off of Wukong and MK.

Right when she was about to hit her opponent, Macaque caught her wrist without a warning. Jie glanced at his smile shocked.

"Your illusions are a real work of art but I don't think they would affect someone who's greatest sense is hearing!"

'Crumbs!'

That was the last of Jie's thought before she was thrown by the projection into the rock, next to MK.

Somehow she was able to land on her two feet

"Sorry guys...Nothing personal!" Macaque said before attacking which his projection. In the last moment, Jie blocked the attack with her blade

She used all the energy in her and transported it into the blade to make it strong enough to push away the attack, they were safe but not for long, Jie was out of energy, same her weapon, it made sense since she didn't use it for like thousand years. Fortunately Wukong was already close to them, he helped MK and looked at Jie

"If you have anything more in your pocket...then you better show it now!" He ordered her before transforming into a bird to attack the projection again

'Somehow I feel annoyed when he orders me around like that'

Jie glanced to the side at MK, who was struggling to lift his stuff, Jie saw that the Monkey Kings energy in his body was weaker but there still was something there!

"Monkey Boy!" She shouted to catch his attention "I'll give you a chance to attack, then you're going to strike him down!"

"HOW?!" MK cried

"What do you mean HOW?!- Remember all the things Monkey King taught you!"

MK looked at her for a while, soon his annoying determination kicked in and he started to regain the control of his weapon, at the same time, Jie took out something from her pocket, those were two little balls, looking innocent but in fact they hold a lot of energy Jie saved for a situation like that. Without hesitation she took one and broke it between her teeth, again she felt the energy run through her veins, it was enough to use her secret technique!

Just in time Monkey King landed besides her, he looked tired of the fight, but thankfully... it won't last long.

"Seriously?!" An annoying voice was heard again "That's all you three got?"

It looked like Macaque was getting ready for the final attack, same as Jie.

"I might surprise you with something" She said with a grin on her face "But it's my final warning, go away!"

As an answer Macaque let out a loud laugh

"Alright fox... let's see what you got!"

Ahem!

"Meet my final weapon..."Jie created a cloud of smoke next to her, everyone looked at it curious what might hide in it...

"My final attack-

"GOU!"

"..."

You can imagine the face of disappointment on Wukong when he saw his servant summoning her pet

"It's over"

A next wave of laughter came from the sky

"N-no way.. that's it?!-this big ball of fur is this secret weapon?!"

Despite his words Jie simply took out the next glass ball

"Remember I warned you... GOU!"

WOOF!

" FETCH!!!" Jie shouted as loud as she could while throwing the glass ball as high as possible

Gou didn't waste a second and jumped after the ball to catch it

Crack!

A next, much bigger yellow cloud of smoke showed up before Jie, it was so big it rose to the height of the projection and it didn't last long till it showed the creature it was hiding...

A big muscular body... big sharp teeth and those glowing angry eyes!

MK could still recognise Gou but the fact that a dog which was a moment ago half his size was now the same height as Macaque's projection was shocking .

"Get ready" He heard Jie whispering as he turned his head to his mentor (who was not working because of shock)

Jie floated before the face of Gou, she was standing eye to eye with Macaque pointing her sword at him.

Still the simian didn't even budge

"So that's how it is, In fact you must be the fox I heard so little about...Show me your power!COME ON!"

'Alright'

"Gou!-"Jie lowered her sword

"Speak!"

Gou caught a big amount of air into his mouth to then give a roar as loud as hundreds of storms

Jie knew how much it was for a normal human and how worse it is for someone with six ears, Macaque covered his head with his hands and shouted in pain

"NOW!"

It was MK's turn, putting all the power he had into use he threw his stuff into Macaque in a big speed and power... then everything was covered by light...

It took a while for Macaque to realise what have just happened... he lost

Lost...?

Somehow it made him smile, the fight was pretty spectacular, a pretty good show he could say.

As he was getting up he felt pain in his muscles, so instead of standing straight on his two feet he crouched... it was right there that he felt something cold on his neck...it was a familiar scabbard.

A shiver run through his body as Jie kicked him into the ground, reminding him of the pain she and Monkey Boy just caused him.

"What you doing out there Fox?"He laughed into her face while laying on his back "Came to see me? Or finish the job?"

Jie was silent for a moment, the look on her face….as if the words 'I despise you' were written in her red eyes.

The fact that such a weak demon was giving him such a look was annoying.

"I came to get back what you stole" The demoness announced coldly

"So Monkey King sent you here for the kid's powers?I'm curious about how you-

Before he finished Macaque felt a strange feeling, as Jie was reaching her hand towards him he started feeling weak, as if he was thrown into cold water...

He saw how Monkey King's powers were flowing between them, like a calm, warm wave.

Macaque didn't know it, but Jie was hurrying up as much as she could because she couldn't stand his smell 'what the hell is this scent? So breathtaking and gloomy, also what happened to his orb to be in this state?' She was referring to Macaque's soul orb which was broken, if he was left with the energy of Monkey King it would only get worse...

Because of how fast Jie was sucking Macaque's energy she didn't notice in time... how it changed;

From gold to blue

From warm... to cold

As it touched Jie's hand she flinched, to the point where the wire of energy between her and the monkey broke.

Macaque was trying to regain his strength, he was panting hard trying to control his breath, meanwhile Jie was trying to calm her body... which was trembling from fear...

This cold running through her veins... whispers in her head and the memories she thought she have forgotten attacked her at the same time.

Accidentally her eyes met with Macaque's, the same moment he started to disappear into the shadow

"You..." Was the only word Jie was able to get out of her mouth as her opponent disappeared

After few minutes she came back to her senses, she now knew...

"This smell... the one that she met in underworld... The scent of death...

When Jie came back to Monkey King and MK, she didn't let them know what happened to her. Instead she told her master that she succeeded in retrieving most of kid's powers, which she gave back to Monkey Boy, but still Macaque managed to escape with a part of it. So she asked if she was supposed to go after him.

"Don't worry" Wukong answered "After that he won't show up for a long time"

"You sound really certain, is he perhaps an old friend of yours?" Jie asked tilting her head to the side as she always does when feeling curious

Her master's face twitched for a moment, then he sighed loudly"More like an ex-friend honestly"

'Friend'

This word made Jie remember about something important

"Master... I-"She started speaking, somehow words seemed as hard as rocks when trying to get them out of her mouth "I wanted to-

"I'm sorry"

Jie's ears twitched to the side when they caught those words.

"I now I'm not a good master, seriously I doubt if I'm even a perfect mentor..."

"You're wrong!I was the only one who acted unfair"

"No! You did nothing wrong, I should help you more!"

"Master, don't be ridiculous!-"

"I'M ALSO SORRY!" MK suddenly burst into tears between them

Both Jie and Monkey King looked at him and then at themselves, they exchanged a small smile

" I think I really like it..." Jie spoke again, much more relaxed than before "spending time like this... is better than staying alone at home and worrying about future-but I need more time... to accept this change..."

Monkey King and MK looked at her in silent with their eyes opened wildly, seeing Jie so emotional and honest was rare.

"Still I would like to ask you... to be patient and wait, till I'll be ready to open to you all" She added not taking her eyes off the ground, too embarrassed to look at her listeners faces.

Suddenly she felt someone hugging her waist, of course it was MK and as always he cried into her dress but this time Jie didn't feel the need to push him away... her hand, as if possessed patted Monkey Boy's s head just like she was doing it thousand years ago...

Jie's eyes met Monkey King who was smiling at her while crossing his arms, she was happy that their argument was over

"Oh! Sorry for not coming to clean up your cave by the way! I'll do it immediately!" Jie panicked again

"You know what..." Wukong's gaze moved to his student "I think you'll be free from work for some time"

And like that, MK took over Jie's responsibilities for a week, which gave her a long break, fortunately- this time she had what to do- paying visits to the blue giant who served her delicious tea!

Even though Jie couldn't forget about this strange energy, she felt more at ease, because she didn't feel alone anymore.

You know... When I agreed to become the servant of the great sage- Monkey king himself I had no idea...

"THAT I'D BE STUCK HERE DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!" Jie shouted irritated by the situation she was in. She was training for like a week now but still wasn't able to use Mirror Blade.

The fact that she was recently feeling dangerous aura in the city didn't help her to focus on learning, same as MK who was cracking walls for a few days now.

Jie's main training was based on meditation, finding the necessary peace in Wukong's cave was rather hard.

After some time Jie got used to it, it was always the same- the sound of crashing, complaining, advices and repeat.

But that day there was a new sound which Jie had long forgotten... silence. Which was quickly disturbed by Monkey King who throw his staff into the wall causing it to break, funny thing is that Jie was minding her business just a few inches away from the hole.

"Jie? What are you doing here?"her master asked "Aren't you supposed to like... study or something, perhaps you got lazy huh?"

"...lazy?...LAZY?!" Jie didn't even notice that she shouted it out "For weeks now I'm only trying to study and yet YOU are getting on my nerves and even calling me lazy, YOU?!"

Monkey King's first reaction was shock, but it wasn't the first time he got on someone's nerves.

"Ok, calm down for a moment-don't you think you're a little... impatient?"

"..."

The silent that came after Wukong's words was so tense that MK caught himself sweating.

'Unfortunately' right on time he got an important call from Mei.

"So... Its seems like there is a monster or something soooo maybe... I just...-OK BYE!" He announced and ran away, he would prefer to fight every demon instead of staying there any second longer.

Jie slowly started moving after him.

"Wait! Where are you going!?"her master screamed when she was near the exit.

"I believe it's none of your business...master" She answered and then added a short and cold "I'll be back on Friday to clean up"

Two days passed since Jie had a fight with Wukong, by that time she thought she would feel calm again but even if she spent her time with Gou, like old times, she still felt irritated by her master's words.

On Friday she was supposed to go to the cave to clean it up, she promised to do so, but the thought of meeting that one monkey made her feel unpleasant. Normally she would apologise the first second but this time it was really important for her to stood her ground. Jie had a bad experience with demons who didn't let her speak for herself, by all means she wanted to prevent Wukong from acting this way towards her.

To calm her mind Jie started a new activity- taking a walk with Gou, as long as people ignored her it was perfect!

"Huh? Ms. Jie??!"

'Crumbs... it was too perfect, wasn't it?'

Jie turned back to meet a big blue giant with a cat on his arm

"Do... I know you?" She asked out of pure curiosity

"Yes! Not long ago, at Spider Queen's lair you saved me and my friends"

Well there was only one person who Jie would 'protect'

"Are you one of Monkey Boy's friend, Big Guy?"

"Yes!-call me Sandy!"

The blue giant smiled warmly towards her but Jie wasn't in mood for a chat, she also had some suspicions towards Sandy because of hi soul orb. It was cut perfectly in half, one side was bright and warm while the other one was dark and ominous... Jie didn't want to get involved with someone like that.

"Listen, it was nice to meet you but I need to go"She tried to think of something "I need to... buy food!"

It was then that she realised that she was still holding the bag with groceries.

"- For my dog!" She added while covering the bag behind her back

"I don't want to be a problem to you..." Sandy stated calmly

"Great, see you then-

"But you look troubled"

Somehow... Jie couldn't move a finger after those words. She took a deep breath and looked straight at the giant face

"What...if I am troubled?"She asked not sure herself why she was still talking with him

Sandy smiled again.

"Then I would offer you a cup of tea" he answered casually

"...only one cup..."

-10 cups of tea later-

"And then, he said that I am lazy!!!While he won't even bother to teach the kid properly or clean his damn house!" Jie kept complaining about Monkey King "Even thought he knows how much I'm trying to wield Mirror Blade again!"

Sandy nodded in a gesture of understanding, Jie didn't expect him to be such a good listener so she kept going.

"OH! And then he even called me impatient!-Which is...well... not totally true!" She took a sip of her tea to help her dried throat "It's soo good"She cried inside impressed by its taste

"So... You got frustrated at him because you're trying your best but he is disturbing you" said Sandy while petting Gou, he was more of a cat person, but there was no one who would be able to reject Gou's cutenesses!(besides some not important Monkey)

"Yes!-all the time he is either taking me to city, or making noises I can't stand!"Jie added"I would already find my inner goal if it wasn't because of him"

Sandy nodded again.

"Then I have one last question... why did you stayed with him?"

Jie blinked a few times.

"What..?"

"Since mr Monkey King is disturbing you, why did you study in his cave anyway?"

Jie was silent, not only because she didn't know what to say but also because she didn't know the answer!

Sandy was right, she shouldn't study in Wukong's cave anyway, how could she expect him to be quiet? Why didn't she just stay at her home- in silence, all calm and... alone.

"I think it's not him that makes you annoyed" Sandy continued "But the fact that you two became friends"

"WHAT?!" Jie almost dropped her cup "We aren't friends, he is my master!"

"But you want to be friends with him, that's why you stayed with him all this time, right?"

"It's impossible... How can I be his friend?!"

"I think you have more in common than you think, for example- both of you were alone for a very long time"

'No'

"It is normal for you to deny that since you were fine alone..."

'You're wrong Sandy...'

"Starting a relationship with someone after such a long time must be hard.."

'We are not similar at all... Wukong lost his friends because they died... I lost everyone because I hurt and betrayed them... And I don't want it to happen again...'

Jie was lost in her thoughts so much that she didn't notice Sandy coming closer to her and even putting his hand on her shoulder.

"This is probably why you're irritated, because you are starting something new and risky and you don't want to be hurt-

"..."

"-But it feels so good that you want to give it a chance"

Again, a bright smile showed on Sandy's face.

Jie felt so many different emotions at one time... It became troublesome.

"I guess Monkey King is also trying to became your friend, why won't you give him a chance?"

"..."

"Can I have one last cup?"

As an answer Sandy took away her cup gently and gone to the kitchen, when he was back Jie looked into a now full cup and as she was about to drink it... She dropped it.

It wasn't intentional, in fact it was because she felt as a  shiver ran through her spine- no! It was more like a hit of a  lightning, this feeling was so new but yet she knew what that meant.

"Monkey King..." She muttered quitly and stood before Sandy" I need to go!"

As she was about to teleport she looked one more time at a face of the gentle giant.

"Thank you... Sandy" she whispered "I'll come again if you don't mind"

"Your welcome" Sandy said goodbye with his gently smile, as he watched Jie disappear into smoke

MK watched helplessly at his mentor fighting with Macaque, in fact with the part of his power- Macaque became a strong enemy to Monkey King,

The speed, strength, power... everything was so similar and yet so different but it didn't escape MK's attention that Monkey King was holding back because of him, which made him even more ashamed.

But still there was only one Monkey King! It was the first time MK saw his mentor fighting seriously which made the fight more spectacular.

Unfortunately they escaped from his sight so MK couldn't watch how the battle of transformation have been going on or how Macaque used a horrible trick on his mentor, creating an illusion of his student- MK himself. As Wukong lowered his guard for a mere second Macaque's shadow clone used the opportunity and stroke him in the stomach, the next kick was just a matter of second but right then... a new character joined the fight...

Both simians were forced to back up because of the strong explosion of energy which left a huge cloud of pink smoke, before it calmed down...

"Forgive me for being late-

A familiar voice was heard

"JIE?!" Wukong shouted, somehow it seemed to be more angry than surprised tone of voice "Get out of there, you don't stand a chance before him!"

'I can see that...'

Jie looked at the soul of her master's opponent, it was a long time since she saw such a strong and evil aura, Wukong was right, she doesn't stand a chance before him. Her tail was trembling nervously feeling the incoming danger.

sniff...sniff....

'What an awful smell...'

"Well...welll, who do we got here?" Jie heard the male voice "Some new friend I see..."

Jie gazed for a moment at her opponent, waiting for something with an unpleasant face

"Ah! Where are my manners..."The monkey bowed before her "Let me introduce myself... They call me six-eared Macaque..." He said in a fake gentle way

'Macaque?'...

This strange name was echoing in Jie's head for a minute, then she realised and opened her mouth

"...Never heard that name before"Jie didn't even realise at first that she said it out loud until Macaque's left eye twitched

"Jie...You need to run-

"Master" Jie cut in Wukong's words "I need to talk with you but I see that you're busy now, so please let me help, even if just a little"

Wukong was silent for a moment, till he noticed shadow clones coming their way

"WATCH OUT!"

Jie in an instant cut the shadows in half which her blade, which was still trapped in scabbard. As she saw a glow on it a thought came across her mind.

'This might help...'

"Master!"Jie screamed to Wukong who was also busy fighting "Give me an order!"

"Huh? Now?!"

"Yes!- That's what I need- an order I need to fulfil...A GOAL!

Wukong's expression changed, he understood!

"I don't mean to disturb you or something..." Macaque spoke calmly "But I feel bad with being left out!" He jumped and pushed his weapon against Jie's blade.

Jie felt his power and strength but as she came closer to him the awful smell became stronger, she needed to finish it quickly!

"Jie!" She heard her master again "Listen to my order!"

Jie's ears perked to his side, hungry for words he was about to spoke.

"I order you to... protect MK!"

"..."

Jie closed her eyes, probably because of the light coming from her blade with made even Macaque step back.

Like that she touched the hilt of her sword, she felt the power that was ready to escape from the scabbard, so she took the blade out!

Everyone looked at her holding the-

"Wait...where's the blade?"Wukong blinked a few times at Jie holding a sword without it's blade!

"HAHAHAHAHhahha!" The awful, evil laugh filled the air "That's this powerful weapon?"

"What a shame..." he added quietly before attacking Jie once again but unless like before, Jie didn't block it, no! Istead she swallowed Macaques energy into scabbard and put the hilt into it again, in an instant the scabbard changed into yellow sword, made from energy so strong and wild that it was covered by lightnings.

Macaque didn't have a chance to take a closer look, since it was now Jie's turn to attack.

"Now... its time for a serious duel"

It took Jie a few more days to reach a full control of Monkey King's energy. After that she decided that it's time for the peace of mind part. At first she planned to maintain it with long hours of meditation, same as she did before but it seemed effortless, which was slowly making Jie lose her patience, there was a time when out of frustration she throw an energy ball into the wall of Wukong's cave, which left a huge damage. Worried about the state of his house, Wukong decided to step in and made a strange offer to Jie.

"A break?" Jie asked surprised at what she just heard from her master

" Yep, no offence but you TOTALLY need to chill out a little" Explained Wukong

" How am I supposed to maintain something while not even trying to practice it?!"

" Don't worry, we'll get to it with a fresh start"

"...we?"

Only now Jie realised that her master was wearing different type of clothing as if he was... going out to the town?!

" You're coming with me?!" She almost shouted

" I don't see any other chill master around" Wukong answered casually and then noticed the uneasy expression on Jie's face " Don't worry, it won't be bad!"

Since Jie was Monkey King's servant she couldn't turn down his offer, the same day both of them were on their trip to town.

It was supposed to be a relaxing time, but Jie didn't feel at ease at all! And the main reason was the presence of her master who she still needed to stop being wary around.

Unlike her, Wukong was all happy and excited as he was dragging Jie around many places.

The first one was a game room, Wukong seemed to be an expert but Jie didn't really liked or enjoyed it.

The next one was a dance floor and that was literally the worst place Jie could be dragged to, the loud music and huge number of people made her uncomfortable.

"You're such a killer joy" teased her Monkey King

Jie would just avoid his gaze as an act of understanding but for the whole time she merely exchanged a word with Wukong.

Then they visited a cafeteria, finally a place when Jie could do what she liked- eating good food.

Both of them ordered a dessert, but as the waitress was asking about the coffee and Monkey King was about to decline he notice a change on Jie's face, for a moment she actually payed attention to what he was doing.

" You want a coffee don't you?" Wukong asked teasing her

Once again Jie focused on something different trying to avoid the conservation.

" Let me guess... an expresso without sugar?"

"..."

"... Cappuccino... without sugar"

A success!

It didn't take long till Jie got her coffee, they had to wait longer for the dessert.

As soon as Jie took one single sip of her drink her master couldn't recognise his own (and only) servant, all of that because of a relaxed and honest smile she made.

Her happiness disappeared as soon as Jie noticed Wukong's narrowed eyes, he looked a little annoyed.

"Is something wrong?" She asked out of pure curiosity

" If you had just told me that you like coffee I would have taken you here sooner" he explained

"Do you like coffee, master?"

"No..."

"Then that's good I didn't said anything"

"You..."

At that moment waitress came with their desserts. Jie really enjoyed the flavour and structure of her ice creams. Wukong also seemed to enjoy his.

"Next time we're going to visit this place first" he stated

Jie nodded slightly...'next time?'

"Where are we going now?" Jie asked as soon as they left the cafeteria.

" Let's just wander around"

And so they did. Nor Jie or Wukong exchanged a word but both of them liked this walk.

" I really enjoy it..." Suddenly Wukong started saying something "seeing how people are happy in the city I protect since so long..."

Jie looked around, indeed there were a lot of humans, especially kids having fun and playing around them, sometimes there were also a few harmless demons.

" It's nice to see people enjoy something you built"She stated calmly

" Hey! You're saying it as if you were a ruler too!"

"Cause I was... but not as good as you.." she said quietly

For a while both of them were silent.

" I also did some things I'm not proud of...but if there is something I learned through all these years it's that we shouldn't keep worrying about the past, but remember the lesson it left us with and continue to live our way" Wukong said with a gentle smile on his face

"...that has some sense" Jie admitted

Without noticing they found themselves near the market, there was this one stall near them with a lot of accessories. Out of curiosity Jie glanced at the offered goods, there was one thing that caught her attention, a hairpin with the magnolia flower. Suddenly she remembered the magnolia tree that was growing near her palace, Jie always went there to quiet down after a tiring day, it was also a place when she and her loved ones would always spend the free time.

"Can I... have this one?" She asked her master pointing her hand at the hairpin.

This surprised Wukong a bit, but at the end he agreed and bought a hairpin for her.

"Consider it as a gift from me" He said while giving her the accessory

"Thank you, would you maybe like to go eat something?"

" Oh Yes! Any suggestions?"

"How about... Pigsy's Noodles? "

" Let's not waste any time then!"

Jie returned to her house, she was glad to finally lay in her bed and spend some time with her dog.

And at some point...

A chill ran down her spine

Jie felt as if she was covered in ice, her tail was trembling like crazy, which didn't mean anything good.

A memories started showing in her brain and as she was ready to panic... she noticed the hairpin in her hand. As soon as she looked at it all her troubles started getting smaller. She stood up and took the mirror blade in her hands...

One lesson left... I need to be prepared for what is about to happen.

In the Monkie Kings cave

"One.."

"Two"

'...'

"Nineteen... Twenty..."

"Twenty one-

BOOM!

As soon as Jie heard MK hitting the ground she turned around to write down the score of his duel with Monkey King, it was a clear lose since Wukong won nine- no wait... ten times!

It was only a second before Monkey King landed on the ground in...less hurtful way than his student.

"Jie! How long this time?" He came excited to Jie knowing the good news he was about to hear

"Twenty one" answered Jie "A whole 3 seconds more than last time" her sarcastic smile didn't destroy Wukong's good mood

"Better! So much better!" He went to MK in order to praise him

At that moment Jie stopped looking at them. Instead she focused on the Mirror blade in it's scabbard laying on the rock next to her.

She took it and sat down on the floor. From the time she got it back she liked to feel it's weight in her hands, it was somehow relaxing. But she wasn't ready to open it, not yet...

"Now..."suddenly she noticed Wukong approaching her "Me and Jie will show you what the real focus is!"

Huh?

"I don't remember agreeing to that"she glanced at her master

" Don't be like that, it's... for educational purpose!" Wukong tried to make her agree

Sigh

"Ok"Jie stood up, but no one missed the fact that she still had Mirror blade in her hand

"WAIT!"suddenly MK stood between them "Is it what I think it is!? Finally I'm getting to see the epic; fox vs monkey, servant vs master, Jie vs Sun Wukong fight?!

Instead of answering Jie showed her battle-ready pose, after jumping back Wukong did the same.

MK took a seat and started filming (for Mei).

It took a while until Jie finally said- "Please... make your move first, master"

"Hah... very well" Monkey King smirked And jumped into the air

He made a few backflips in the sky and was getting his fist ready for an attack. Jie of course noticed it and was getting ready to block it, a red stripes showed on her face, her hand held the weapon tighter and her legs moved to make her pose more steady and when Wukong was about to attack she... moved aside?!

The way she made it so unexpectedly made Wukong so surprised he didn't get to react and fall flat on the ground.

For a while there was a silent for everyone to help them process what just happened, only now MK realised that the fight was over.

"Guys... I might have spaced out for a bit because I have no idea what's going on here" He said

"Same here buddy, same here..."Wukong muttered to him standing from the ground

As he was trying to get dust off of his clothes Jie muttered something

"...It's not answering.."

Hm?

"The mirror blade... It's not getting out!" She said while showing how she was trying to get the weapon out of the scabbard effortlessly

"Tsk... You know Jie.." Monkey King took the weapon from her "If you're really that scared then just addmi-

He stopped talking after he also failed to get it out

After that he was fighting with scabbard in many ways but still failed to even loosen it.

"Why isn't it working? Is it rusty? GASP! Maybe Iron Fan used some spell!"MK started talking some nonsense

"It's not that there is a problem with blade... It's because of me" Jie announced calmly while getting the weapon back in her hands "The mirror blade doesn't simply choose it's owner, it has rules..."

"Rules?" This time the one to ask was Wukong

" Yes... the user needs to follow three rules: energy control, peace of mind and the goal. Since many things happened to me all this time when the blade was out of my reach I failed to follow it's rules...

"But... you'll be able to use the blade again, right?" MK looked at her

"I... don't know"

"Master I need your help!" Jie announced as quickly as MK went back to work

" In what?" Wukong looked at her with confusion

"The reason why I can't use the mirror blade is because of your energy that I have as a result of our contact but because of how chaotic it is I can't control it at all!" She explained

"So... You want me to... teach you?

"I guess there's no other way-

"AWESOME!" He smiled " Now I have two students"

"...If that's how you prefer to call it" she muttered to him "So, what's your secret master?!"

Monkey King crossed his arms and thought for a while

"If I was to be honest... I have no idea!" He laughed

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!" Jie shouted but then realised that she shouldn't rise her voice at him "ahem... I mean, is there really no... rule, theory or... anything?

"Nope!-I'm just letting it go and do what it likes!"

"It sounds...awful" Jie didn't even hold back before saying that

"Well how about just trying to learn to use it?"

"I'll.. might give it a shot, I need to get a hold of it somehow, right?

"I can't use it!"

Jie came before Wukong after an hour all tired and exhausted.

"Yeah... looking at you I can guess it's not that easy, well it's my energy after all!"He admitted proudly

"Yeah and because of how chaotic and impulsive it is I can't control it at all!"

"I told you already" he came closer to her"Instead...-

FWIP!

"Let it control you!"

Jie was surprised as she merely avoided Wukong's fist aimed for her head, not long after that followed a kick.

She didn't get if her master was helping her, or getting revenge for before

"Wait!" She shouted before avoiding the next punch"What am I supposed to do?!"

"Stop thinking!" Monkey King explained, but didn't stop attacking her "stop analysing every move, give the control to your body not brain!"

"Then give me a chance"

"HAHAHAHA, nope!"

A next attack followed by a kick and his whip-like tail. Jie felt exhausted from avoiding them but knew accepting them won't end well either.

And at the end, when she was near her limit, the attack from before returned, Wukong was back in the air getting his fist ready, there was a chance for Jie to teleport quickly...

But then... something very strange happened

Jie took out the weapon, and with scabbard on she... blocked it!

It took a while until she realised what just happened, when she turned her gaze towards Wukong he just smiled proudly " That's how you fight in the monkie king style!"

Jie couldn't hold her smile as she noticed a golden symbol shining on the scabbard of the mirror blade.

"It actually worked!"

"Congratulations, you passed the first lesson, which leaves two" Monkie King praised her allowing himself to pat her head a little

" Yeah two..." Jie's mood started to drop down

"Hey, you know... I just ordered a few noodles to celebrate, mind keeping me a company?''

After a while a bright smile returned to the demoness face, she nodded her head and put the blade aside...

'Only two rules left...'

The demon twins were "willingly helping" Jie for a week, though they didn't really knew what they were doing. The plan of their "auntie" was really unclear, but they didn't dare to ask or complain.

"It's ready"- annouced Jie

She came to the center of a cirlce she drew with white chalk before and picked a now completly fixed Calabash!

But the broters knew it wasn't really the same.

"Auntie!"called Jin "Does it mean we're free to go?"

Both demons send Jie the sad puppy looks that said 'pleaaaaase'.

Jie lifted her eyebrow and looked with suspicion at the demons, they were especially inpatient that day.

"Are you in hurry?" She asked while hiding Calabash in the bag "To what?"

The brothers looked at her, blinked twice , looked at each other and back at her.

"To the race?" Yin said

"What race?"

GASP!!!

The demons took a step back acting like they've never heard something that surprising in their lives.

The first one to react was Jin who came closer to Jie and showed her a phone with some commercial on, Jie listened to it carefully, then Yin threw some posters at her face. Jie read the one she caught in her hand.

" Looks like a huge fuss..." She muttered to herself

"FUSS?!"

The brothers were taken aback even more!

"It's a great opportunity to crush your enemy... make them see your true power and watch as they are crying because of humiliatio-" Yin stopped talking when he noticed how Jie looked at him

"... You can also get a peach of immorality!" Jin saved him in the last moment

Jie thought for a short while, all the time she spent with the demons brothers showed that they are not even half as dangerous as they think, letting them go shouldn't cause any trouble.

"Ok... just go" she stated "But about this peach, you know it's not a-

Before she finished her sentence the brothers were gone.

Standing in silent made Jie realised one thing... she was hungry

There was only one place to eat which came to Jie's mind- The Pigsy's Noodles! On her way Jie noticed that there are practically no people on the streets.

'They must be watching this race...'

She was at an entrance of the noodles shop

"Wonder what's so great about this" she whispered to herself

"PIGSY IT'S ABOUT TO START HURRY"

"I'M COMING!"

"..."

Somehow every time Jie came there something strange was going on, last time it was a big, fat version of Monkey Boy lying on the pig man, now it was the same pig sitting before TV together with a monk who looked like some cheerleader.

'Should I just go or...'

"Oh look! It's Jie" the first one to notice her was the monk

Jie waved nervously to both of them.

" Want to watch the race with us?" Asked Pigsy

"Well... I don't know..."

'I'm not really into the games of mortals'

"Noodles on the house!"

"The medium bowl with two fried eggs please" she said while sitting on the chair in front of TV.

While Pigsy went to the kitchen Jie was left alone with Tang, it was kind of awkward, Jie felt the need to tell something but was too shy to start so instead she tried to focus on the television.

The race haven't started yet, so she took a look at the participants, she noticed two familiar faces of the trouble makers she had met... the demon brothers were there too.

Her eyebrows lowered as she noticed the faces MK and Mei were making.

"Are they fighting?" Unconsciously Jie said loudly

"Yeah... sometimes they have a stupid argument like that" Tang answered clearly

" I thought they were friends"

" Of course they are, It's normal between friends to argue from time to time, like me and Pigsy!" He said while putting an arm on the pig man's shoulder, for a moment they looked like a perfect duo... till Pigsy didn't use his spoon...

After that he came to Jie to give her a bowl of noodles and sat down next to a monk.

While enjoying the taste of her food Jie thought about the thing Tang told her about. Lately she wondered if there was anyone in her life who she was truly friends with, the ones that came to her mind first were those who she argued the less with but what she heard made her realised it could be the opposite. There was only one person she had been fighting with almost everyday, now she realised they would have killed each other if it wasn't for friendship they shared.

But...

'I doubt he would hesitate from killing me after what I did...'

"IT'S STARTED!" The scream of Tang made her come back to reality "WOOOHOO!GO BEAT THEM MEI!"

"Hey Jie, who are you cheering on?" Suddenly Pigsy asked her

Emmm...

"I... cheer for the..." She tried to save herself by looking at the list of participants, and then she noticed something- "Prinecess Iron Fan!"

As soon as she realised where the person she looks for is, Jie teleported, leaving confused men.

"Did she just said- Princess Iron Fan?" Pigsy asked

"Yep"- answered Tang "And then she went to cheer on her from shorter distance, a true fan"

The place Jie teleported to was a part of the road when MK crushed into Mei, the girl was not happy about that, but as predicted they apologised to each other and everything would be great-

"Jie?"

-if only they didn't notice the fox demoness snitching next to them.

'Crumbs!'

"You came to see our win?!" as always the one to get excited quickly was MK

"No"

"Ah..."

Jie didn't even realised about what she said until she noticed the disappointment on the boy's face

"MK, HURRY UP!" Mei came closer to remind MK about what he was supposed to do

"Oh, right!" MK started working on his new car with the help of Monkey King's powers

Jie got a few steps away from them to not get hit, she looked at the mountain when she planned to meet with Iron Fan.

"Hey, ms. Jie!" MK shouted to her back "See you at the finish line"

Jie didn't look back till she heard as they were driving away, then her eyes were wandering from kids to the mountain.

In the end Jie sighed loudly and teleported once again.

The crowd screamed as MK and Mei crossed the finish line. The two friends were happy and proud of themselves, at some point Mei noticed that MK was searching for someone and she knew who that was.

"MK, you know she has her things to do" She said while patting his shoulder

"Yeah... just... I still want to prove her that I'm worthy of Monkey King's powers"

" And you will"

MK smiled at Mei.

"NOW LETS GET OUR REWARD" Mei pointed at a golden peach

MK rushed with her to the stage and as they had their moment of fame the familiar voice was heard

"NOODLE BOY!"It was obviously Red Son"You imbecile... THAT PEACH SHOULD BE MY!" He shouted aggressively

"HA"MK kept the peach closer"You'll never getting this fruit!"

And right after that he... bit it.

Crack

MK was spinning in pain on the floor with only a half of his front teeth

"I think it's not ripe yet..."he mumbled

"Or it's just not a peach of immorality" suddenly MK heard a woman's voice, at that moment an announcement was shown before his eyes, so close he couldn't see anything besides it

"That's right it's just a trophy you know" Then Mei agreed

"WHAT!?"Both MK and Red Son shouted towards her

"But, it's says right on the posters" said Red Son checking the paper

Mei started laughing at both of them

"It's a metaphor" again a woman's voice was heard

"Wait.. Jie?! You're here?!" MK couldn't believe his eyes

Jie opened her mouth to say something but then she turned away her face to hide her reddish cheeks

"I... just wanted to make sure you won't bring another catastrophe!" She muttered with frustrated tone

"Can we please come back to the peach!" Red Son screamed again

" Read the little letters on the corner of the left" Jie navigated him quickly, tired of his screams

"It says... the winners photo will be shown on the top of the tower...WHAT?!"

Right then everyone's gaze moved to the tower, which showed a picture taken when MK bit the trophy.

"Ooooo....Ok" MK gasped in realisation

Unfortunately the demon boy(that's how Jie calls Red Son) didn't take the fact as well as MK

After a few excused he made he turned back to the group only to shout the annoyed "PEASANTS!" At the end

'How disrespectful'

"Wait, if this is not the peach of immorality, then where are they?!" After the question both MK's and Mei's gaze turned to Jie, who started to sweat a little

"Haha, well that's a good question... emm- Oh!-just remembered that I have something to do, BYE!" And like that she disappeared

MK was looking at the place the demoness stood a while ago, then he saw Mei approaching him with their trophy.

"Looks like she really came to see you win" She smiled while touching him with her shoulder

"...yes"

A smile showed on the boy's face.

Meanwhile, Demon Bull King and his wife were just on their way back from their shameful loss (the whole family doesn't want to talk about this).

"Darling" Suddenly Iron Fan stopped

"Hmm?"Her husband looked back at her with questioning face

"Go alone.I'll catch you up later..."she exclaimed and turned her face to the right "I have some business to do"

Following her eyes, DBK noticed a man in hood which covered everything instead of his big and somehow annoying smile.

For a while the two of them were staring into each other but in the end DBK turned back without a word.

When he was a few steps away he throw a simple "Be quick" to his wife and followed his way.

After a while PIF came closer to the man.

"Well, well... and here I thought you won't make it" she smiled at him

"I wouldn't dare to disappoint you, Princess" the man bowed slightly before her

"So you got your part of the deal?"

"Yes..." slowly but confidently, the man showed a jar he was hiding under his coat

"That's... Calabash?!-How did you?-

Without notice PIF started reaching towards the object.

"Not so fast my lady" the man hid the calabash again

The women send him an annoyed face, but all he did was smile widely

"I need to see 'your part' too" he chuckled

For a moment there was a thought in PIF's head... what if she just took both calabash and mirror blade?

But the thing was that she didn't know an answer to that question. When it came to that person... she couldn't predict if she would win or...

"..."

"I've got enough of loss today" she said to herself in mind

Sight...

She streched out her hands, a light showed above them, after a while it took a form of a sword.

For a moment the smile on the man's face disappeared.

" So... we have a deal?" Asked PIF while holding the mirror blade closer to the man

A silence came...

A few minutes later at Flower Fruit Mountain

Monkey King was enjoying his training-free time on the peach tree, he was so full after eating all the peaches he decided to take a nap.

But then he felt someone's presence

"So the times up, huh?"He said toward Jie who approached him with a gloomy face

"..."

"Did you make it?" He asked curious about Jie's mood

"I..."

Jie looked up at him from the ground showing something that she was hiding behind her back before

"I did it!" She said while holding the mirror blade in the light of the sun, a little tear dropped from her eye

"Good job" answered Wukong

After that the monkey, all relaxed again laid on the tree with a smile on his face, he closed his eyes and was ready to sleep.

"Wait!"

Suddenly his eyes opened wildly

"What did you give PIF in return?" He asked

"Well I was aiming for the calabash but when I got it it was in pieces, so..."

"So..?" Wukong starred at her more intensely and suspicious

Jie scratched her neck a little, Wukong knew her well enough to know what this gesture means, she's nervous about something she shouldn't have done, which made him more impatient for answer

"...So I used a little trick" Jie answered with an anxious smile on her face

That's right... in an hour Princess Iron Fan will realise that she exchanged the mirror blade for... a jar of Monkey King’s cookies...

Hopefully it will suit her taste :D

After Jie told Monkey King about her deal with Iron Fan he took her to some room, which she never saw before.

For Jie this place was nothing different than a garbage. She understood that her master had been definitively too lazy to clean this mess, but for a demoness who is really used to tidy places and has a sensitive smell, that place was a real nightmare.

' The faster I find something the better'

So she started digging in.

" How about this?" Asked Monkey King showing her some mirror with the yin-yang symbol on the other side

" It's a demon revealing mirror, how do you think will she take it when I show it to her?" Jie answered picking something into her hand "Oh! That looks cool!" She said showing her master the golden spear

" Good, but not as powerful as your blade- how about the mystical vase?"

Jie looked at him and then at the vase.

" I've got a feeling like it's better to keep it" she stated and then something caught her attention " What is that?" She muttered to herself looking at the dark scroll

Before she realised Monkey King took the scroll and throw it somewhere far away.

" That's nothing" he explained with bright smile on his face and continued searching as if nothing happened, Jie did the same

" Would be easier if most of the heaven artefacts weren't taken away from me" Wukong pondered

" I think you already have enough of them" Jie remarked while checking some rusty swords

" Tell me something about your weapon!"

" About the mirror blade?" Jie stopped everything to look at him " Now?"

" Why not?- I'm curious cause it's the first time I heard it's name"

" Alright... Well the mirror blade was actually my first booty of my first fight with a strong demon- who was the Fox Demon King. I didn't want it but the second it was in my reach... I heard it calling for me, as if I was the one it was searching for... and I guess I was. When I lost it it was my first defeat from a long time... at that time I lost everything- my tittle, my allies, my freedom, half of my powers, my weapon and..." she stopped for a while feeling the painful memory in her mind, she hold tighter to the jade necklace" The mirror blade is the only thing that I can get back"

For a moment it was silent, Jie didn't expect herself to open up that much... she didn't like it. Every time she did that she felt as if she was crossing the line that she had drawn herself. Her master on the other hand seemed not to notice this line. For Jie that was something new and it was making her feel anxious.

" I remembered about something!" Monkey King shouted " Wait here"

She looked confused at her master who was trying to climb on the big stock of garbage, throwing many things in the process. When he was at the top, the stock started shaking which made Jie feel unsafe, but Wukong for sure knows what he is doing... right?

" Aha!" He shouted pointing something to the sky

Crack

Suddenly the stock started collapsing.

Everything: rusty swords, spears some scrolls and even more strange things started to fall on the place when Jie was standing, all she could do was trying to dodge them and she did it very well. When everything seemed to already fall she looked at her master (who got out of the ruins) and as she started heading towards him she felt something hitting her on the head.

" OUCH! Crumbs..." she muttered before collapsing on the ground

MK felt that something was wrong, first Pigsy was kind, he even get along with Tang! Sandy is also acting a little bit off and Mei... let's not talk about this. Even Monkey King acts strange... well there was only one more person to check!

MK was too far from her house so he looked around and started yelling:

" MS JIEEEEE!"

He was repeating himself for a long time till he noticed something, the energy ball that Jie uses!

Not knowing what to do MK had tried to touch it but just before that the energy ball exploded into the cloud of smoke, from which a pair of fox ears could be seen.

" Crumbs, my head..." Jie muttered to herself while brushing the back of her head " Uhm... Monkey Boy?"

Jie looked confused at MK who was looking at her from behind of some metal box with suspicious eyes.

" Say something what Jie would say!" He screamed waving his arm at her

" huh?"

Jie decided to stay calm.

" You think I have no other things to do?! What do you want, play with me in hide and seek?!"

Alright she was annoyed.

" Get off my tail!" She hissed ready to disappear but suddenly felt something squeezing her waist

" That's really you!" MK whimpered into her hanfu " Thanks noodles it's you!"

Before Jie was able to say anything she started to turn to dust in the places when MK touched her, with made the boy freak out.

" GAH! JIE YOU ARE A GHOST!" He screamed in terror

" NO- I'm not you monkey brain!" Jie scolded him by pitching his cheek " I'm just a spirit projection!"

" I'm ssowwwy" MK murmured to her 'but isn't that what the ghosts are?'

Jie let go of his face and started looking around.

" So... Where are we?" She asked flicking her fox ear

" That's right! Something is wrong with all my friends! They are acting just... too perfect?"

'That's bad?'

"Wait a minute" Jie stated with a serious look as she started sneezing the air

Her face turned to be so disturbing as if she just eaten the worst meal in her life. Her nose started to flinch as she covered it.

" Did you use your golden vision?"

"Oh!"

"..."

" What do you mean 'oh!'" She continued pitching his cheeks " You forgot again didn't you?!"

She let him go when his cheeks started to turn slightly red and swollen.

MK finally used his golden sight to see everything around him only to see...

" There is nothing here" he said turning his eyes back to normal "Nothing of this is real... just like the time when you used illusion on me!"

" That's right, when I started to smell the air I didn't smell anything from this environment 'only your smell', thanks to the illusion you can fool the eyes but not the rest of you senses... that's what master is trying to teach you right?"

" He said something about trusting my instincts... wait! If it's illusion then how am I going to break free?!" He started to panic again

" Firstly calm down" Jie navigated him " You know when the illusion stops being illusion?"

" When I do some magic stuff to make it disappear?"

" No. When you realise that all you see is fake"

" Okay..." MK calmed down a little " What should I do next?"

" It's easy. You just need to-

The image of Jie disappeared.

" Jie?"

"JIE?!"

"WHAT SHOULD I DO?!"

Jie started to slowly receive her vision, though everything was still blurry to her. She felt something wet on her cheek and a warm breath.

" Gou..." she murmured trying to see her pet more clearly

After a while she came back to her senses but was still to weak to get up, she looked up into the light with was blinding her, until some shadow covered it.

" Good morning!" Monkey looked at her from above with a smirk on his face

'I want to punch him for some reason'

" I fainted didn't I?" She muttered trying to stand, Wukong reached a hand to her and helped her stand

" Yeah, I thought you died" he answered casually

She just give him a furrowed look as the answer.

" You found something?" She asked him still feeling a little dizzy

" Huh?"

" When you run on this stock, you said you found something"

" Ah, right!"

Monkey King had dived in the garbage to then come back with a ceramic jar.

" What is inside?" Jie asked ready for some big reveal

" That's..." Monkey King had slowly opened the jar " THE BEST COOKIES I HAVE EVER EATEN IN CENTURIES!" He shouted while showing Jie the snack, which then ended in Wukong's mouth

Jie glared with unbelief at her master who was eating all happy and carefree.

" I wonder what Monkey Boy jumped in again..." she whispered to herself

" Hm?"

" While I was unconscious the kid called me out, so my spiritual form had transported to him, looks like someone trapped him in illusion or something"

" Wait, you can become a ghost?"

" ... No- it's a- you know what, never mind" she sighed " I'm just surprised because normally I could smell the scent from the real environment, but then I couldn't as if he was..."

" trapped" Monkey King stated with a serious tone, which attracted Jie's attention "I once saw something like that, it's called the calabash. It's an old, powerful artefact with can trap anyone who-

" WAIT!" Jie interrupted him " Did you say that it's OLD and POWERFUL?"

" Yeah, pretty much" spoke Wukong while leaning for more cookies " Would you like one?"

But when he offered her the cookie all that was left was just a pink dust.

" I won't share with you"

Jie had teleported to MK as soon as she could, when she finally found the house she bumped into the building to see MK standing before a pair of demons. What mattered to her was that MK was now out of calabash.

" Ah! Ms. Jie!" MK waved to her

" ha ha... seem like we have more audience..."

" Let's introduce ourselves again..."

The two twins demons smirked to each other.

" We are your worst nightmare Jin..." Started the orange demon

" And Yin..." Added the blue one

" THE GOLDEN SILVER- WOAH!- HEY!"

The brothers yelled as Jie pushed them away and walked between them.

" HEY AT LEAST LET AS FINISH!" Jin screamed at her, but Jie didn't seem to care at all

In fact Jie only cared about the calabash... or rather it's pieces...

" Look like it can't be undone, huh?" Suddenly some dark aura started to cover her, but no one noticed since the twins were too busy with MK.

When MK was ready to fight them Jin and Yin seemed not to be so confident anymore so they used some smoke bombs to create the occasion to escape.

Unlucky for them...

When the smoke had cleaned MK could still see them- standing in the same place but being carried by their collars by no one other than Jie.

Only now everyone felt the dark atmosphere in the room, yeah... Jie was not happy...

" Monkey Boy... go back to your friends" Jie stated "I'll take care of these two" she added with her red eyes burning with anger

"O- okay so... THANK YOU BYEE!" MK ran away as fast as possible feeling as if something was about to chase him

Meanwhile the brothers... were scared to death.

Jie let them sit on their own before her freely, but they didn't dare to move even a finger.

" So... you are the ones who caught the apprentice of my master, huh?" She asked calmly

" W-well we... we just-

" IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!"

" THAT'S THE WORST THING YOU COULD COME UP WITH!"

" AND WHAT ELSE WAS I SUPPOSED TO SAY?!"

"Be quiet"

The moment Jie spoke both of them calmed down. While Jie sighed loudly.

" For once I wanted to do something in the fair way... Crumbs..." she muttered to herself

" You two, are you related to huli jings?"

At this moment brothers looked at her with their eyes wide open, Jin then pointed to his brother in the direction of the fox tale behind Jie.

" Y- you are the Huli Jing! Same as mother!" Yin almost shouted

" You know for what you did I should already drag your souls into the underworld, right?" Jie's glare became more sharp

The twins started to shake in fear and hug themselves.

"... But I guess this auntie can make one exception!" She said with a completely different mood!

Before the air around Jie was cold and heavy, but it turned to be, warm and sparking!

The twins looked at her with tears flowing from their eyes.

" THANKS AUNTIE!" They we're about to hug her when Jie had stopped them with her hands

" one more moment..." the red light had slowly came back in her eyes, her warm smile turned into mischievous smirk" You need to do something for me first..."

Jie had too little energy to teleport to her home. She was currently sitting in some alley thinking about some stuff, mostly about Spider Queen.

Jie didn't expect herself to be moved by seeing her, she thought that she had already closed this chapter of her life. But meeting Spider Queen reminded her of who she was before... a greedy, merciless demon who cared only about herself.

She hoped to forget and start everything once again, but if Spider Queen haven't changed all this years... maybe she's the same too?

What is going to happen when she get the mirror blade back?

For some reason she looked closely at her hand, still remembering the feeling she had when MK hugged her. How could she even think of that person at that moment?!

Still... because of that the memories which were once blurry now became vivid... Jie remembered the warmth and happiness and laughter of those she cherished, which she foolishly lost because of her past mistakes.

Jie sighed loudly and hide her head between her arms, her tail curving around her waist. Normally she would transform into her human disguise but she was too weak, so she hoped that at least no one will see her now in that state.

" I wonder if Monkey Boy is safe..." she muttered to herself, then remembered about the Monkey King, who she was supposed to prepare dish for " there's no way I'll get to him in my state... hope he won't be angry..."

"Why would I?"

Speak of the devil.

Jie looked up to see her master flying on his cloud with his arms crossed and a grim on his face.

" Master?" She blinked twice from surprise "What are you doing here?"

" Oh don't be so humble! I know what you've done you tricky fox..." He stated after jumping on the ground with his eyebrows furrowed

" I'm so-

" and I'm impressed!"

Huh?

" When I saw you going into the spider Queen's lair I thought 'she's gonna die!' BUT YOU DIDN'T!" He stroked her hair with his hand " And I need to admit! Never thought that you're such a trickster!- and..."

He stopped when he noticed her ears laying on her head and her eyes looking somewhere far away.

" Hey! Don't be gloomy when I'm prising you!" He said pocking her forehand

" Ah! Sorry Master!" Jie was now focusing on him, but her ears were still down, which made her look like a sad puppy

" You're okay?" Wukong asked

Jie opened her mouth to say that she's fine but she hesitated, was lying to the great sage really a good idea?

" Am I a bad person?"

"..."

Wukong was taken aback by this question, where did it even come from? He would rather avoid answering to that, but Jie was looking at him with her ruby eyes with such a hope, that he couldn't ignore it.

He sighed and scratched the back of his head, creating the sentence in his head.

"I don't know" he spoke with his eyes closed " I only met you like a few months before and I don't know you well enough to give you an answer"

Jie's face started to fall deeper into the sleeves of her dress, but Monkey King didn't finish.

"BUT... thinking about how you clean my house, how you take care of my monkeys, how you help me in training MK and how you help him and his friends in need... as far as I know all those are the good things" he smiled crouching before her

He didn't knew what Jie was thinking of what he said, but her ears had slowly turned back to normal and that was a good sign.

„ So... about my lunch..." Monkey started looking around in search for something

Jie's eyes widened and her tail together with ears stood up.

" OH CRUMBS!- I left the ingredients at the market!" She screamed clapping her face with one hand

" Want to go back for them?"

" Not really..." She sighed, thinking for a while " Say... are there many fruits on the flower fruit mountain?"

"Hmm..?"

Monkey King had completely NO IDEA what was Jie planning. He took her with him to the Flower Fruit mountain where she made a strange request:

" Can monkeys bring me some of their favourite food?"

He had no idea what she meant but decided to trust her with that, so he ordered all his monkeys to bring their favourite snacks to the cave.

The moment in which Jie entered the kitchen was the last when Monkey King saw her for an hour.

He only saw his monkeys entering the house and picking out of window, but whenever he tried to sneak in HIS OWN MONKEYS where starting to yell at him.

So he sat on the fallen pilar listening to the sound of chopping ingredients while sniffing their smell.

He was hungry! But Jie asked him not to eat any peaches (which was his whole menu) till the dish will be ready.

When he asked her to make him lunch he didn't know he will have to go through such torment! He simply wanted to keep Jie busy, cause he wasn't happy with her hanging with MK alone, not till she would earn his full trust!

Well but this day was really strange.

Monkey King was sure that Jie won't do anything that could risk her life, she made it clear from the start. But still she was fighting Spider Queen to help MK out... maybe she wasn't as selfish as he had thought... and as she thinks?

"Bon appétite!"

Monkey King didn't even notice when his servant came to him with the bowl.

" FINALLY!" He took the bowl without looking at it " I tough I was going to starve to death!" 'Even though I'm immortal'

" Sorry, it was hard to use your kitchen... you don't use it often right?"

" Of course not! I'm THE KING, I have servants for this" he pointed at her

Jie chuckled a little. It was then when Wukong had finally glanced into his bowl to see this incredible, long waited, exclusive dish, which was-

"... salad?"

" Fruit salad" Jie corrected her master while sitting on the ground with monkeys, some jumped on her head

" wow... A fruit salad... not like I don't eat enough fruits or something..." Wukong mumbled not knowing if he wants to show his disappointment or not

" Just try, those guys have been helping me a lot you know" she pointed at the monkeys who were sitting around her waiting for their king to give them a proper opinion of their efforts

With all of them (Jie included) looking at him with big sparks in their eyes Monkey King had no other choice...

He got the chopsticks and took a piece of cut fruit from the bowl, feeling the growing tension he started sweating a little.

" Do you guys have to look at me like that?!" He yelled at Jie and monkeys

" AH! Sorry..." Jie apologised looking down at her feet, same the monkeys

" If it tastes bad you will have to do my laundry twice a week"

" Wait!"

It was too late, the piece was already in the mouth of the Monkey King, who was chewing it for a while and then swallowed it with a loud gulp.

All this time he was sitting quietly on the pillar with his eyes closed, when Jie was ready to put the second laundry to her schedule her master continued eating in a very high speed as if he was in hurry.

After few more bites he looked at Jie smiling.

" Change of plans- from now one you're going to make me a meal twice a week!" With that he continued eating, his monkeys joined him (all of them had their own little bowls)

Jie was not so happy about one more chore, but somehow seeing all the monkeys enjoying her meal didn't feel bad at all.

" Gah! Guys where are your manners!" Suddenly Monkey King spoke looking at Jie who was sitting on the ground with nothing to eat " Hope you have something cause I'm not sharing!" He added toward the demoness

" Yes I did myself something too!" With that Jie pulled out a plate which was laying on her tail before

" Is that... fried egg?" He looked at her with one eyebrow raised

A little blush appeared on Jie's cheeks

" I'm better at preparing simple dishes, ok?" She muttered taking an aggressive bite

Monkey King laughed a little at her face, it was funny to see her make other expression than her normal- cold ones. And he didn't remember when was the last time he had eaten together with someone, Jie felt quite the same.

For a long time Monkey King was trying to make Jie expose her secret recipe, but the demoness was only cutting him with " The true chef never reveals his secrets!"

Of course the secret was peaches, but hush!

When Monkey King finished his bowl he laid on the pillar relaxing with his monkeys.

Jie was not sure if she could, but there was one simple thing she had to talk with him about...

" Em... Master?" She started awkwardly

"Hmm...?" Wukong opened his one eye to see his servant

" There is this one thing that I would like you to help me with"

'Now THAT'S interesting!' Thought Monkey King "What is it?"

" There is something... really important to me which I lost a thousand years before"

" Well that's bad"

" And recently I found it"

" That's good"

" But to get it back I might need your help"

Jie waited for a while to hear Monkey King's answer

" What do you need?" He asked

" Something what is as valuable as the weapon made by celestials..."

It was a perfect day for shopping.

Jie was walking around stands with vegetables for sale, looking for ingredients for dinner. She was a little nervous because of what Wukong said to her the day before.

"Do some for me and my monkeys too!" He announced when she told him about her dish

Jie only wanted him to give her a day off to buy some groceries! Not to make her his chef! As if cleaning his whole cave and bathing his monkeys wasn't tiring enough!

And also the fact that Wukong won't be easy to feed... he doesn't eat meat, milk and just started eating cocked food...

Jie sighed loudly and just continued shopping.

At one moment her ears catch a woman's loud laugh.

" My, my my...- you boys are making quite a scene..."

Jie looked at the side and was pleasant to see no one else but the Spider Queen herself.

Thought time was merciful to her judging by her appearance, Jie couldn't at first recognise her. The last time they met was when Spider Queen was a frightening ruler of the spider demons. Thought Jie haven't heard a word about her since the collapse of her kingdom. There was some rumours about her being in the city but so far she ignored it, it's not like they were close or anything, they just acknowledge each other as the rulers of different demons race (By the way Jie was a Demon Fox Queen).

Back to what was happening, Jie saw someone who also was familiar to her, the monk and the pig, friends of Monkey Boy.

For a second she was looking with disgust at Spider Queen flirting with Pigsy, then she remembered that she was doing these things herself a long time ago which made her even more uncomfortable.

Yeah... a dark past...

So... as Jie was watching Spider Queen luring Pigsy into her lair she hoped that Tang, who had warned Pigsy from those tricks a few days ago, would stop his friend.

And he tried!

But failed.

When they were gone Jie came closer to the stand, she flinched because of the strong smell of rotten vegetables.

With her nose covered by one hand she investigated the place, she saw the trap on the floor and thought for a while.

'I'm sure they will be alright... it's not like she's gonna eat them... okay maybe she will'

And at this moment Jie made one conclusion...

No Pigsy equal no noodles!

So she transformed into a fox and teleported as close to the kidnapped men as possible.

„You know Pigsy... I've got a feeling that telling her about our relationship with MK was a bad idea..." said Tang stuck in the web

Since Pigsy's mouth was cowered by web his answer was silence and an obvious roll of the eyes.

"Oh don't give me that look! It was your fault in the first place!"

"Sugar, can't you scream in agony a little more quietly?- thank you" Spider Queen stated calmly still looking into her kettle

" Just you wait and see... MK WILL BEAT YOU UP and-and... WELL HE WILL SQUISH YOU LIKE A BUG!"

"Excuse me?- honey, I'm a spider not some bug" she pointed out a little touched by such a conclusion of the monk

" I DON'T SEE A DIFFERENCE...."

That hit hard.

In a moment one of demoness's spider leg was pointed into Tang's throat, who gulped as an answer.

" Did you forget that I'm the Queen? And no queen allows others to call her like that..." she grunted while peeling her legs into the stone wall with such a strength that it made a terrifying sound

Both men were looking at her in terror.

And then...

"HEY! YOUR HIGHNESS!" A young voice came from behind "let them go"

"MK!" Tang shouted with a little tear in his eyes

Pigsy chopped off the web on his mouth to speak "KID!- be careful!"

"Don't worry Pigsy" stated MK flipping his staff in the air to make a fight pose after that "I've got this!"

"Well...well..well..." Spider Queen chuckled while getting closer to MK " If it isn't The Monkey Kid I heard so much about?"

" You bet!- now free my friends" he pointed the end of his staff before her face "Or I'm gonna show you the power of Monkey King's successor!"

" Wow... MK!" Tang gasped from admiration

" Ha! Think a stick can stop me?" Spider Queen added with almost not noticing doubt "I'm the Queen!- while you're just some kid"

" I don't think I can stop you... I know that" with that MK was starting to be covered by a mystic yellow light, the amount of energy leaking from the boy's body made Spider Queen hesitated and a little scared.

The tension between them grew more as they looked into each other's eyes, the moment in which one of them will make a move is going to show who's more confident of winning.

But at the moment when MK's stuff had moved just an inch a loud explosion was heard behind them.

Spider Queen, MK, Tang and Pigsy looked at a hole in the wall to see Mei, Sandy and... MK?!

"HEY- you... scary Spider!- FREE OUR-...friends" the second MK just realised the situation they were in

" Two MK'es?" Sandy and Mei shouted at the same time, but were ignored

Monkey Kid and Spider Queen stared for a moment at 'MK' who was standing between them.

MK was shocked to see an ideal copy of himself that wasn't his clone, well... it would be a perfect copy if there wasn't a pair of big, fluffy ears on his head and a strange red marks on his face.

Knowing that she was already recognised, Jie turned back to her true form

" Ha ha... surprise..?" She smiled nervously while glancing at the Spider Queen

Unexpectedly the spider demoness started laughing. When she finally stopped to look at MK and Jie staring at her with pale faces she smirked evilly and jumped to the surface.

In a moment the strings of web had wrapped around Mei and Sandy trapping them next to Tang and Pigsy.

" Well that was an interesting performance..." a chuckle escaped from Spider Queen's mouth

MK looked around to see his opponent-he should've already learn to start from looking behind him...

He jumped all the way to Jie when Spider Queen scared him to death.

" What? Scared of spiders?" She teased him

" MK!" Screamed Pigsy

The boy looked at Jie who was just next to him not taking her gaze off of the enemy even for a second.

" Miss Jie?" MK whispered to her with a shaking voice "w-what are we gonna do now...?"

Jie glanced back at him and stood straight with a serious look on her face.

" Now...WE RUN!!!"

So they run away as fast as their legs let them.

Same the Spider Queen, but she had four pairs of legs so she had it easier.

When MK's friends were left alone all forgotten they were dying out of worry.

"Ha ha ha!" Suddenly Sandy started to laugh out loud

" Oh Sandy, mind telling us...What's so funny about being trapped in the web of a human eating demoness?!" Pigsy asked him furiously, but Sandy kept smiling

" S-sorry Pigsy, but IT TICKLES SO MUCH!" Sandy spoke with tears in his eyes

Only now the group saw a big fluffy tail hanging from above, which was touching Sandy's back, probably tickling him in the process.

The moment later a dark fox jumped on his head and looked at the friends with their red eyes.

" Sorry for that"

Everyone were stunned seeing as this fox actually talked!

" Wait... I know this fox... MS. JIE!" Mei shouted in surprise looking all cheerful despite still being stuck in the web

Jie jumped on the ground, just before touching it she turned into her human form and glanced back at the group.

" Wait... How many MK'es and Jies do we have here?!" Tang asked in confusion

" Ah... that was just an illusion to distract the Spider Queen, there's no way I would actually risk my life for a bunch of idiots" she muttered the second part, though Tang and Pigsy heard it very clear.

Jie took a few steps and picked the dragon blade, which Mei had dropped before. She was surprised by the weight of this sword, in the hands of Mei it looked so lightly, but that needs to be the whole dragon thing she didn't want to dig into.

"What are you- DOING?!" Tang screamed as the blade, thrown by Jie, cut the web that was imprisoning them and physically made them fall, still they were somehow able to land perfectly and with the dramatic poses

Ignoring their special moment Jie freed the rest of the group.

" Alright!NOW LETS GO HELP MK-

" Wait a minute" Mei interrupted Tang before he run to the boy for the rescue "We need to get Sandy's vehicle first!"

" But what about MK? With his fear of spiders, he might not be able to fight for too long..."" added Sandy

Jie, who was quiet till now suddenly sweated because of all those gazes on her.

" Ugh... fine..." she sighed feeling a headache growing in her forehead

Why she always needs to bump into such a situations?!

" Ms. Jie!" MK shouted when they finally stopped running "What are we going to do?!"

" Listen Monkey Boy, Hold still till I get to you, ok?" Jie answered while looking him into the eyes

Before MK could understand what she meant the fox demoness was kicked by one of Spider Queen's leg.

As she landed on the ground she disappeared.

" GAH!!!- JIE!!!" MK screamed holding his head " YOU HAVE REDUCED HER TO THE ATOMS!!!" He shouted toward the Spider Queen

The demoness looked at him in disbelief.

'Is he that stupid?'

" I didn't. It was just an illu-" before she explained MK charged at her with his stuff

" MS. JIE I WILL AVENGE YOU!" He stated while pointing his fist into the air

With this motivation MK was able to fight his biggest fear! And he was doing very well till he  landed into the corner full of little spiders looking at him from their webs. Poor guy, it was too much for him to handle.

Spider Queen used this situation and pulled MK into the big web, MK was stuck.

The demoness chuckled evilly and pulled some of MK's hair out of his head

" Finally!- Now when I got you and the power of the great sage I can bring back my kingdom!" She exclaimed "Thank you"

"You're welcome!"

Before Spider Queen could turn around she was hit by a ball of energy with made her a little unconscious.

Both her and MK looked with a shock on their faces at Jie in her true demon form.

" JIE!" MK whimpered loudly with a teary eyes " You're alive!"

" YOU AGAIN?" Spider Queen wasn't as happy as the boy "You start really getting on my nerves, fox"

"I can say the same about you" Jie spoke slowly while processing to create the next energy ball above her hand " Let's finish what we started...No tricks and illusion, just you and me"

" I feel like I'm going to have a nice fox coat..." Spider Queen chuckled as she stood before Jie

They were standing just like before, glaring at each other, ready to jump into each other's throats. MK watched them and felt the dangerous atmosphere, everything was quiet, the only noise was a sound of dripping water.

After a while one of them made a move, it was the Spider Queen who charged toward Jie in the high speed, but Jie didn't make any move till her opponent was just about to attack, then she jumped into the air and shouted "NOW MEI!"

Everyone turned to the side and saw MK's friends sitting in the vehicle.

"LETS GO MO!" Mei clicked some button which activated the big weapon, controlled by no one else but Mo himself.

A sudden rain of bullets was pointed toward the Spider Queen who tried to escape from shots. Jie on the other hand, after jumping over her enemy flew into the web MK was stuck in and pointed her energy ball into it. After a second the web was laying on the ground all melted and MK was save.

" Told you I'll come to- WOAH!" Jie was stunned when she felt MK hugging her. Like, this hug was different than all the others when he would hold her legs, now Jie couldn't move at all!- or just felt as if she couldn't

" Waaaah!" MK whimpered into her dress "I tough you were dead!"

Normally MK would be pushed away by now... but strangely Jie couldn't even budge. Her head was filled with memories, warm memories just like the feeling she felt right now, without realising it... Jie's hand moved on it own towards the boy's head, when she was about to pat his head she came back to her senses.

" Y-yeah... can we talk about it outside?" She muttered to the boy trying to gently push him away

" OH RIGHT!" MK started running toward his friends, the shots had already stopped

He was so happy to finally leave this place that he almost forgot about one important thing..."WAIT!- MONKEY KING'S STUFF!" He came back and tried to pull out the weapon which was stuck in the web "Come on!"

" MK HURRY UP!" Mei shouted

" I'm trying, OK?!"

Suddenly Jie heard a footsteps behind them, it was Spider Queen who was running towards MK.

' Oh no you don't '

Jie kicked her from the back to hold her for a while so that MK could escape.

Finally he was able to get his stuff back.

" JIE!" He called for demoness who was in the middle of the fight

" Go to your friends and run out of here, I'll hold her" Jie spoke while dodging Spider Queen's attacks

" B-but!"

"..." Jie looked at him for a while, what the hell was wrong with this boy? Worried about demons he should fight, for what? " I... I'll be alright, don't worry"

MK nodded his head, while Jie lowered her guard and was almost stabbed by one of Spider Queen's legs, thankfully she was able to block it with her hands " HURRY UP" she growled towards MK.

The boy hurried up and was save with his friends in a moment after they drive away.

Without realisation Jie let out a long sigh.

Then she jumped away from Spider Queen, who was really annoyed.

" Who do you think you are?! Don't stand in my way!" She yelled at Jie while waving her hands in frustration "I've been waiting for  this moment for thousand years and I will not let some little fox destroy my effort!"

Jie didn't react to her words at all, for Spider Queen it looked as if her mind was at a different place.

" Hey! Don't you dare igno-

" You really don't remember who I am?"

She stopped looking all confused at the fox demoness, who now was piercing her soul with her bright, red eyes.

"Well I guess I can't blame you... I am nothing like my old pathetic self" Jie whispered loudly enough to be heard by her opponent " But it still hurts... You know- not being recognised by someone who you respected in the past"

"Hey...are you sure you want it?" Jie wasn't done talking, her words became more and more filled with emotions she was trying to hold back "Your kingdom is gone Spider Queen, why wasting your life chasing after memories?"

Spider Queen was slowly getting frustrated.

" Who exactly are you?" She asked

Before her question reached Jie's ears the fox demoness's body started to turn into pink dust, but still she looked at the Spider Queen and opened her mouth.

" I'm Jie, the servant of Monkey King"

"So you failed?" Iron Fan asked with a thrilling voice "To rob a girl?"

If only the Bull clone had still it's legs he would run away or at least hide, but he came before his master in pieces.

Iron Fan sighed while covering her face with one hand "What did I ever expect..." she muttered to herself "Hope this new power source is going to make them less... helpless" she glanced again at the clone with despised look "take him away from my sight!"

Hearing the order one Bull clone came to take the pieces of his robot colleague and instantly run from the room. Then it came back for an arm that accidentally fallen from his arms before.

Iron Fan sighed even more loudly when she was already done with them.

She wanted to cherish this silent for a while but was disturbed by a sound of footsteps.

"WHAT IS IT!...now?" She hesitated as she saw no one in the room

"Princess Iron Fan" suddenly she heard a voice from behind, it belonged to an old man for sure "May I take a minute of your precious time?"

Iron Fan looked back and saw a person in the black cloak which was covering almost every part of his body, but the lower part of his face with showed a big grin was very well noticeable.

"Who are you?! And what do you want?" Iron Fan inquired trying to sound dangerous, but something was making her wary about that person

"Don't need to be angry" the man took a few steps back to make princess fell more comfortable " I came in hope for a little... business"

" Business...?"

" I hear that you are a collector, well I am too" he spoke slowly with a clear voice "And the thing is that I'm searching for something, and hoped that maybe... you have it?"

Iron Fan was taken aback for a second but she continued the talk " And what exactly do you seek for?"

'If he's gonna say anything about dragon blade I swear I-'

"The mirror blade"

"..."

" How... how do you kno-"

" I guess you really have it, can I have a look?"

That man's attitude was starting to get on her nerves.

" Wait a minute!" She pointed at him with one hand as if she was stopping him "Do you know what kind of weapon the mirror blade is?!

" Of course" he responded hiding his hands behind his back " It's an ancient weapon which was created two thousands years ago by the gods as a gift for the Fox Demon King thought it was stolen by an ancient demon warrior. Thanks to this blade even heavens were afraid to interrupt the demon's rampage, a few centuries later they were defeated, so the sword was taken away and the demon was killed. There is a legend that the mirror blade was dedicated only to that owner so it has never let anyone else use it and was soon forgotten."

Iron Fan looked at the man in silent thinking.

'So he wasn't joking'

Unexpectedly she chuckled and summoned a wind around her, when it was gone she was holding a blade covered in purple light.

He didn't show it, but Iron Fan saw that the men's heart beat faster at that moment.

"Not so fast" she stated and pulled the blade closer to her chest as she saw the man reaching for it " You can't leave me empty handed. It doesn't matter if anyone can use this blade or not, it's still powerful so... you need to give me something in return" at the end she smiled mischievously

" And what exactly do you want?" The man seemed to be a little annoyed for a moment

" You said that you're a collector too, so give me something with the same value as the mirror blade, then I'm gonna give it to you right away"

For a moment he was silent.

Iron Fan was ready to protect herself in case if he wanted to get the blade by using force, but he just smirked.

" Alright... We have a deal" he stated and turned around to go

" One week" the princess added "The deal will be off by this time, I don't like wasting my precious time"

"... understood" he disappeared in the shadow

When he was already out of anyone's sight he took off the hood showing his short dark hair which become longer in few seconds, his eyes turned red and a tail popped out of the cape.

Jie looked at the DBK's house for the last time and with a frown on her face she disappeared in the pink dust.

Jie was surprised to hear a knock into her doors and even more surprised when she saw Mei standing before them.

" Drago-ahem I mean Mei, whaaaat are you doing here?"

'And how did you know when I live'

" I was just wandering around, and then I noticed your house, nice house by the way, and I thought maybe you know... emm..." Mei was mumbling half of the sentence, probably because she didn't get ready to talk to Jie

" You want to come in?" Jie suggested, surprised by her own offer

Before she got the answer Mei was already inspecting her whole house from the inside.

'I will regret this for sure'

She closed the door and glanced at the girl who was now seating comfortable on the couch.

'Should I offer her something?'

It was embarrassing but Jie didn't have guest for centuries now and she completely didn't know what to do.

Then she noticed something hanging on Mei's back.

" Nice sword" she pointed at the dragon blade

" Right!" Mei replied with the sparks in her eyes " It was passed to me just yesterday cause I showed this Bull clone not to stand in my way! Aaaand I also showed my family that I'm totally worthy and all that staff" She added spinning the blade in her hand while standing on the table

" Good for you"

" Yeah... Well I didn't beat that bull clone all by myself so..."

'So she knows... this girl might be smarter that she acts'

" I'm pretty sure that you would do fine just by yourself" Jie spoke as she sat on the armchair

" Still thank you"

Jie just nodded with a little blush on her cheeks.

'Wait... WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?! I'm not supposed to be chitchatting with her! I need to be wary! Don't forget- she's a dragon, she's a dragon, she's a damn drago-'

"Wait... is that?" Suddenly Mei stood up from her sit and came closer to kitchen, then she looked down at Gou with an emotionless glare "A PUPPY?!"

Okey forget about the last part...

" What a cutie! What is his name?! Is it he or she? Does it like being pet?!" The amount of questions was raising and there wasn't even one that got the answer

Well at this point Jie... was ready to trust that girl with all her heart.

A person who sees the hidden cuteness of  Gou can't be bad after all.

And... as Jie watched Mei hugging Gou... an old memory have flashed before her eyes... the memory of the person as silly as Mei and... a person Jie once considered a friend...

She smiled softly as she finally knew how much can she trust Mei.

The group of friends were (mainly) happy to visit Mei's house but they didn't know that this whole time they were observed by Bull Clone, which didn't know that it was followed by a fox.

So... Jie decided to have a closer look at the Monkey Boy and his dragon friend, but she totally didn't expect Princess Iron Fan to be interested in a girl as well. When Jie overheard her plan the fur on her tail bristled.

There wasn't a demon which didn't hear about the Dragon Blade, after all it was one of the most powerful weapons the world have ever seen.

'And in the hands of Iron Fan it would bring a total destruction'

Jie knew that she had to follow the kids and... this blue giant with who she haven't exchanged a word till now. Thought going into dragons house wasn't a bright idea for her. She knew how powerful the can be.

But when her peaceful life was at stake she didn't have a choice.

Jie watched in shadows (in her fox form) as Mei was talking about her ancestors and the value of Dragon Blade.

It was weird for her to see a kid who was born with a golden spoon in her mouth and wanted to spit it out.

She remembered a certain dragon that was, a little bit too much like Mei. A young, ambitious and talented dragon who couldn't follow her heart.

But back to the poor girl, who had already left the room, Jie could relate to one thing; being someone who she didn't really wished to be.

She didn't have time to think anymore, as the bull clone had appeared.

'How the hell did it avoid all those traps and security?!'

'Oh.. they probably slipped in same as me'

As soon as the bull clone was about to touch the sword Jie had jumped on his arm and bite their hand... and she remembered that it was a robot which was made from metal, the pain was strong but not enough to convince Jie to stop the attack.

Bull clone was doing everything he could to get the animal off of his hand, it was spinning it in circles, waving his hand in all directions and even tried to pull her by a tail (in this form Jie has only one tail) Jie had stayed untouched and then...

Their both looked to the side and saw Mei who was holding some snacks.

The three of them looked at each other in silent for a while.

"WAIT A MINUTE YOU ARE A BULL CLONE!- and... a fox?" Mei shouted confused at the end

Using a a moment of distraction,Bull clone had thrown Jie into Mei, took the dragon blade and run away.

"HEY!-Get back here!!!" Mei started to chase after him right away, soon Jie joined her

The bull clone was destroying everything at it's way to slow down Mei, Jie was just about to reach him when they entered the garage in which her opponent found himself a motorcycle.

Jie maybe was a fax demoness, but even demons have their limits when it comes to speed and stamina. When she stopped to think and take a breath she felt someone grabbing her from the back, turns out it was Mei.

" Hold tight little one!" Mei warned her before increasing the speed.

Jie almost fall out the motorcycle but thankfully was able to stay in place.

The chase continued so Bull clone took out the blade and cut the pillars with it. After dodging all those blocks (Jie was ready to thrown up) one was able to hit Mei's motorbike, Mei fell off but Jie was able to jump on Bull clone just in time.

She landed on his head and covered his eyes with her tail while creating an energy ball to hit him, but before it was charged she saw Mei who was just driving straight to them and was dangerously close...

BAM!

At  the moment they broke into each other a cloud of smoke covered everything, Jie was pulled into the wall and lost consciousness for a short while.

The thing that made her wake up was a sudden rise of energy, she looked around for the place where it came from when she saw a giant dragon in the sky. At first she couldn't tell it was only the projection and almost freaked out. She saw how Mei used the sword and finished the Bull clone with one blow.

'I knew it... She is terrifying!'

But somehow... it felt familiar

Soon Mei's parents came home, Mei explained everything to them and they were really proud of their daughter.

"Oh right!"Mei remembered about something while hugging her parents "There was also this cute fox that helped me!- Hey buddy can I keep you?"

But she didn't saw any fox... just as if it disappeared.

Mei smiled and said a short 'thank you' in her head while MK was looking at her confused.

"Pigsy's noodles..." MK spoke putting all his tiredness into his words

"Gods, what hurt you today?" Jie asked while receiving her order

" Wait! JIE?!"

" Dear... yes, that's my name! Don't need to shout it whenever you see me!"

"Ah... sorry..."

Jie now took a closer look at MK. Boy was all tired as hell, not to mention how messy he was and dirty by paint.

" Is everything ok, Monkey Boy?" Jie asked out of pure curiosity

" YEAH- I-I mean not like I'm overworked and all...I'M TOTALLY OK!!!" The laughter he made at the end was telling that he WAS NOT OKAY

" If you say so..." Jie didn't want to dig into it any further, what would she tell him anyway?!

" Sorry ma'am, but I need to go back to job! Or else pigsy is gonna kill me... BYE!" He said and run to his car

"..."

"Next time I will eat on the spot" she muttered to herself while looking into the bag "It's not my order...crumbs!"

Jie stood in the doorway of Pigsy's noodle shop completely confused as she watched MK kicking with his stuff the more chubby version of himself. Just next to him was standing some monk.

" Bad timing..." Jie turned around to run

"JIE!!!" MK came and hugged her legs whimpering like a baby

'Crumbs!'

"Jiee.... I created the clones of myself hic I didn't mean to make a mess hic hic I jus wanted to help my friends!"

"Gah! I get it, now get off of me!!!" Jie growled at MK while pulling him away from her legs

" How am I supposed to get rid of it mister Tang!" MK went to the monk

" Hm..." the monk fixed his glasses while some strange light covered him from the back " I don't know"

MK looked like he had enough

" Try doing some pressure points or-

" Or this!"

MK and Tang looked at Jie who was jumping on the clone with an energy ball in her hand. The moment in which the ball touched the clone everything was covered by a big, yellow cloud. When it was clear again the only things left were some flying hair and a pig laying on the ground. Jie was already on the chair watching the menu.

"Agh! Pigsy!" MK shouted " How did you do that?!"

"You know, some spirit kung-fu and all..." Jie answered without looking at MK

Riiiing

" Ahh... could you do that again?"

"Ha!- no" Jie said sharply " Judging by your hair there are hundreds of clones and I am one. It will be better if you will solve this alone"

" WHAT? How?!"

" You know... some pressure points and waivingfu..."

" Alright, I have to GO!" said MK rushing toward the exit

For a moment everything was quiet.

"Ahem! I don't want to be rude or anything, but can I make an order?" Jie bend over Pigsy who was just about to gain his strength

" O-one moment ma'am" said Pigsy strong enough to go prepare a meal

" Big portion with an egg please!"

Jie sat calmly and and waited for Pigsy to bring her the noodles.

" Sooo... you're a demon,huh?" Surprisingly Tang sat next to her, he had a very suspicious face which was mostly covered by a bowl of noodles

" I don't like to talk with anyone with an empty stomach"

'Either when I'm full'

"And I don't like a fox demon hanging around my almost son and picking a fight with him"

Jie sighed loudly and covered her face with one hand.

" First of all, sorry and second- I didn't fight him, it was just an illusion, boy returned unharmed"

" Here's your order miss" said Pigsy giving her a bowl of noodles

'This scent!'

Jie felt that she was drooling. She was as hungry as if she hadn't eaten for centuries!

"NOT SO FAST!" The bowl of noodles have moved into the hands of Tang

" TANG! What do you think you're doing!" Pigsy screamed at the monk while waving his wooden spoon at him

" Relax Pigsy" said Tank calmly " Can't you see that this customer of yours is a demon?!

Pigsy looked at Jie who was about to starve, he saw her as a normal maybe even beautiful women with short dark hair and a little bit too much traditional dress.

" What are you talking about?"

" About the evil fox spirit!" Out of nowhere Tang had some book in his arm and showed one exact page to his friend " Fox demons are foxes which an ability to transform into human so that they can mock people to eat their souls in order to become stronger and wiser or even IMMORTAL!" he left the book in Pigsy's hands "This woman is no other than a cold hearted demon who wants to eat our souls!!" He pointed at Jie who was even more confused than Pigsy.

"But too bad for you, I- the clever Tang!- won't fall for your little tricks!"Tang announced proudly and came closer to Jie "So how will it be? Are you going to admit your true intentions?"

For Pigsy this whole scene seemed ridiculous, Tang looked like a cop trying to make Jie admit her crimes by scaring her. The chef looked at Jie as if he was expecting her to say something in her defence.

" I... just wanted to eat noodles" she spoke with a face as if she was about to cry

Even Tang was surprised by her "good acting"

" Tang, give her the noodles before it gets cold"

With doubt Tang gave her the bowl.

" Thank you..." Jie thanked the pig demon and took a first spoon.

"..."

" It's so good" Jie who couldn't hold her emotions any longer started crying

In almost instead she ate the whole bowl.

" Wow Tang... you were right, let's hope she likes noodles more than souls" said Pigsy in sarcastic way

Tang looked at him all pissed. But in the inside he just didn't want to admit he was wrong.

" Don't worry mister Tang" suddenly Jie spoke, she was cleaning her face of the soup " I haven't eaten human soul for centuries and I don't want to harm the Monkey Boy. Well... I can't even think about it since Monkey King told me not to touch him"

" Wait... You know Monkey King?!" Asked Tang

" Hmm? The boy didn't tell you?"

" Didn't tell what?" This time the question came from Pigsy

" That I'm Monkey King's servant"

"..."

'He told them I attacked him but forgot to mention I'm on their side...'

Suddenly MK came back.

" Hey guys I'm ba-

" MK!!!" they both screamed at him

" WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT THIS FOX DEMON IS MONKEY KING'S SERVANT?!" Tang grabbed poor MK by his jacket

" Oh right!-... I forgot"

"..."

Tang sighed loudly while looking back at Jie.

" Sorry ms Jie..." he muttered

" Don't worry, I get this a lot" Jie answered as if she was really untouched by Tang' s insults " Thanks for the meal and a chat, but I'm gonna go-

" MK, who is this?"

" Ah Mei! Meet Jie!- Monkey King's servant. She's also the fox demon"

" Ah! So you are this fox lady!- COOL!- I heard you can grow tails and ears, can you turn into a cute fox too?!" Said Mei while she was just in front of the demoness face

" MEI!-stop being like this only because you want to see a cute animal!" Screamed Pigsy

For Jie it lasted a while to come back to her sense, but she finally was able to speak.

" Excuse me young girl but... are you really a human?" She asked with a little trembling voice

" Oh- Actually I'm a member of a dragon family"

' OF COURSE SHE IS!'

" How did you find out that I'm not normal?"

" Let's say... a six sense..."

This sense was a danger radar, and as soon as Mei walked in the restaurant it started ringing like crazy!

' Of course... every mortal I meet needs to have destructive powers!'

'And what the hell is wrong with her soul orb? It's so unstable and wild it can hardly stay in one place!'

' I'm NOT dealing with this today!'

" It was nice to meet you but I need to hurry and go home, See ya!" In rush Jie disappeared leaving behind only a cloud of pink dust

Mei looked for a while at the place in which just a minute ago was standing that lady "I like her!"

" She's cool right?!" MK joined her

Ahem...

MK turned his head in terror to, not so happy Pigsy,

"MK... I hope you can explain yourself..."

Gulp!

" Citizens!- It is I... RED SON! I have taken control of the weather station that will harness the very power of nature to return my father to his former glory; this message is more of a courtesy"

"HAHAHAHA!"

" When I finish, my father will once more dominate the wor-"

Jie turned her TV off.

"Yep, I heard enough, gods... this boy should find himself some hobby or something..." She muttered

Gou looked at her from the floor with his soul-piercing eyes.

"Nah Gou, they need to fix this on their own" she took a piece of popcorn and threw it into her mouth "Besides... I don't think that master would like me to stick close to the Monkey Boy"

Gou barked and run to the door.

"Oh, I get it. You want to go outside" Jie got up from her couch and came to the door to open them

"WHAT THE-?!"

As soon as Jie opened the door she felt a strong blow of wind.

The weather was indeed crazy- The wind was so strong that it almost made Jie fly to the wall!

She had to use a lot of strength to close the entrance to her house, after that she felt exhausted and laid down on the floor. She looked at her pet again, he was definitely waiting for her to react.

But now it really made Jie change her mind.

Ugh!

She stood up and teleported herself to the weather station.

MK was doing really bad, mostly because he couldn't control his staff. At the end he kicked himself out of the station, and when he was ready to fall on the ground he suddenly felt someone... catching him?

" Got ya" he heard a woman's voice behind his back

Jie caught him as if he was a thrown doll. She held his arms tightly, then put him on the ground. When he was standing before her, still his back facing her face, she wiped the dust off of her dress.

"JIE?!" MK shouted into her ears" W-what are you doing?!"

" What are YOU doing? Letting yourself be kicked by some kid with an anger issue?!" Jie asked with her arms crossed, not hiding her frustration over the boy's behaviour

"I-I..." MK's face suddenly dropped

As Jie was waiting in silence for his answer she suddenly heard a familiar voice;

" How you doing down there?"

"Monkey King!" MK gasped in surprise

"Greetings, Master" Jie bowed down

Monkey King's eyes moved to Jie, he didn't notice her before and looked surprised

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"

And just a little angry...

Jie on the other hand was completely unmoved

"I was just walking around, what a coincidence that Monkey Boy was just thrown down at me..." she said with a dull voice trying to escape her master piercing gaze

Then MK started talking;

"Great, now that you're all here we can fly up there and smash that-

"No, no, no, no" Wukong interrupted "In case you forgot I'm retired. You're supposed to be the one taking care of the bad guys"

"Th-Then what about ms Jie?" MK asked the demoness with tears in his eyes, hoping for help

"Don't look at me" She answered firmly

The shocked reaction of MK was saying everything.

"But don't worry- after all you are INVINCIBLE- right?"

" Well yeah I-I mean I am invincible but you know..." MK made a loud exhale and turned to Jie "You were right, I can't control my powers... I feel like I'm only messing everything up!"

Jie didn't know what to say so she discretely give an eye signal to the Monkey King. He seemed to understand since he finally jumped off of his cloud.

" Listen kid, the problem is really simple" He announced calmly

" What is it?!" MK was ready for the answer

"It's you"

"Huh?"

"Ahem... what he means is your lack of self-confidence" Jie explained quickly so that MK wouldn't get the bad idea

" But I am self-confident!" MK almost shouted into Wukong's ears

" No, you're just loud" Wukong pushed him away with his tail " The only way to self confidence is-

" Take it till I make it?"

"NO! Practice!- you think I took shortcuts?!"

"Well..." Jie who knew his history was just about to verify the truth of this sentence

" NO!" Wukong interrupted her " It took me centuries of training and fighting and just beating up demons- just so many demons...anyway! Nothing worth anything comes for free"

Somehow for Jie it sounded a little bit of suspicious.

"But what about my friends, the city!" MK seemed very nervous

At that moment his attitude caught Jie's attention

'So he does care about others huh?'

After MK's battle with DBK, seeing all the ruins of the city Jie though that the boy didn't even care about other's safety but it turned out that she was wrong... and that actually made her feel a little bit guilty.

"How about limiting your power" a thought escaped from Jie's lips

" Is it possible?" MK jumped to Monkey King and used his puppy eyes on him

Gah..

" Alright, there is a way that I can limit your power, but..."

"But, what?"

"You won't be invincible anymore"

With that Jie saw a moment of hesitation in boy's eyes, but it was just a moment that disappeared before it could change his decision

" Alright, let's do this!"

As expected, with the help of Wukong MK was able to win against Red Son and change everything back to normal.

" Is something wrong?" Jie asked Monkey King who was staring at her for a long time

'Maybe he is angry because I interfered'

" Nothing, just that..." Wukong scratched his head nervously " I guess you were right... about you know-the kid and his control over my power. Maybe I rushed too fast..?"

Jie was totally not expecting her master to say such a thing, this could be classified as an apology, from the Great Sage!

'Perhaps that monk really taught him some good manners'

"I was the one wrong, this boy... He actually has a really kind and warm soul" She spoke slowly while looking at the mentioned MK, who was happily playing and chuckling with his friend, Jie noticed that when MK is with people he cherishes, his soul is shining more.

" Hoho..." a strange laugh escaped from the monkey's mouth " So you finally accepted him, hmm?"

" Let's say that I can force myself to tolerate him for the time being"

"How cold..."

She chuckled a little but soon her face turned more serious.

" It won't be only DBK who he will have to fight, right..? She spoke quietly

" No. When the rumours about my descendant will spread further there will be more, much stronger opponents he will need to fight with" Monkey King explained with a serious tone of his voice "But till then, we will make him ready"

'...'

'...we, huh?'

' As I tough, because of this boy I'm gonna have more things to do...,

'What a troublesome kid...'

End of chapter 4

"What is that?" MK muttered to himself

He stopped his delivery car and looked at the black alleys, where he saw something strange...

It looked like a ball set up in a pink flame AND IT WAS FLOATING!

After a minute of brushing his eyes MK had realised that the flame was real. Though he still had his doubts.

With hesitation MK took his staff and came closer to the strange thing.

When the boy was about to touch it with his weapon (cause he wanted to touch it) flame flew away.

"WAIT!!!" without much of thinking MK started chasing after pink fire.

When the strange escaper was just about to be reached by MK it started flying up. Because of that poor Monkey Kid had landed on the floor, which wasn't the cleanest.

OUCH!

" Oh sorry~" an unknown voice reached MK's ears "Are you alright, Monkey Boy?"

MK looked up and saw the owner of this voice- It was a young woman with short brown hair, though judging by a pair of ears popping out of her head and multiple tails, which reminded him of the sunset sky, she was a demoness.

"Who are you?!" MK shouted while pointing his stuff at her

"It doesn't matter sweetheart, most importantly..." She jumped off the building and came close to MK in incredible speed "... who are you?" She whispered to his ear

MK stepped back almost immediately. A shivers run though his spine as he met the red gaze of demoness.

" I am...-THAT'S RIGHT!" he realised " BEWARE, CAUSE I AM THE MONKIE KID!" He shouted all proud and confident to the point when he was almost shining

A small chuckle escaped from demoness lips "I know about that dummy, I want to know who do you think you are to wield such a power?"

Huh?

" You've got the power of Monkey King, the power able to cut the mountains and the seas, the power all the demons and gods beware of, the power that could destroy the world" She summoned a fire in her hand "Let me show you what can such a strong power cause"

She then threw a fire at MK.

He blocked it's way with the staff but then, as if it was alive, fire started spreading around him.

MK used his stuff to create whirlwind, thanks to that the fire disappeared but MK didn't have time to be proud of himself.

Just in time, he turned around to block the demoness kick.

He looked up only to see the demoness red, shiny eyes which were following his every move.

These two were fighting hand to hand for a moment, good for MK- his opponent wasn't very strong in combat, when MK was about to lay a finishing blow, the demoness jumped back to the roof of a building.

"Ha! Running away!" MK shouted " Right?" He added not so confidently

Demoness only smirked at him as answer.

MK felt like something was touching his legs, before he realised he was pinned to the wall by the chains around his legs and arms.

" It's not the end" he heard the demoness voice.

All her tails were now uncovered like a peacock tail. Above every eight of them there were balls of light that got bigger and bigger.

Somehow, MK knew it didn't mean anything good...

" Oh! come on!" He tried to do anything with his staff but for some reason it didn't listen to his commands at all!

" What are you going to do now, Monkey Boy?" the demoness chuckled

"You'll see- AH!"- he realised

'This golden vision!'

He closed his eyes and activated his ability, when he opened them everything was in gold but... something was off.

The image he saw was completely different but he saw one thing very clearly- his opponent! (Which to his surprise was much closer than before)

'Alright, let's try this!'

Which all his strength MK held his staff tighter, an amusing golden aura surrounded his body "I AM...THE MONKIE KID!" he shouted as he threw his staff on the place when golden sight showed him his opponent.

Bam!

MK looked with confusion as his staff landed on some trash can far from his enemy.

'I'm done!'

But something changed. Everything around him started to glitch like in a faulty video game. Few seconds later everything came back to normal but there wasn't any chains around MK, there wasn't any fox demoness on the roof, there wasn't any fireballs, even the thing that MK threw wasn't his staff but some metallic tube and it was laying in front of some lady, who looked hurt.

" I'm sorry ma'am!" MK ran towards the lady " I thought you were... demon" he hesitated as he met the furious red eyes of this ‘women’

The demoness growled at the boy and pushed him away still checking her head condition leaving MK speechless.

" Looks like you two had already met!"

"Monkey King!"MK shouted in surprise " Wait, why are you here?"

Monkey King jumped off of his cloud and stood between MK and demoness.

" MK, meet Jie- my first ever demon servant!" Wukong announced while leaning on demoness side

" WHAAAAAT?!" MK totally didn't expect that " You've got a servant?!"

His face showed a lot of admiration and Wukong liked it.

MK completely forgot that the demoness was going to kill him.

" Kid, I'm a KING of course I have a servant" At that moment Jie looked at him with despise and quickly stepped away, which made Monkey King fall on the ground

"So...." He stood up really quickly and looked at Jie with satisfaction " What do you think now about my successor?Huh?"

He took confused MK under his shoulder and waited for demoness's reaction. Which was the most scary expression MK have ever seen, though Mei also was looking like that sometimes. It was a scary mix of smile and burning anger that makes everyone freeze, just like now him and his mentor.

" How should I start~" Jie came closer to them and pointed a finger in front of MK's face "HOW OLD ARE YOU TO WALK INTO BLACK ALLEYS AFTER SOME FLOATING FIRE, FOUR?!- she shouted

"N-no I'm actually-"

" AND YOUR FIGHT! I NEVER SAW SOMEONE SO DISTRACTED AND WHY YOU USED THE GOLDEN SIGHT SO LATE! YOU WOULD EASILY SEE THROUGH THE ILLUSION!!"

" it was an illusion?"

" YES IT WAS YOU MONKEY BRAIN!"

"HEY!" This time Wukong felt touched "You know that I trained my ability for a long time right?! Give a kid some time!"

"Master, he doesn't has immortality to spend on training! I'm telling you his body won't be able to make it!"

"Wait, I will explode?!" MK broke in their conservation

"BE QUIET!!!" The two immortals screamed at him at the same time

"I am his mentor, I am the one who says if he is worthy or not, It's my words that matter, not yours!

At the last words of her master Jie felt a burn on her wrist, Wukong's words were repeating in her head, together with the other voice that she thought she already forgotten about.

In her mind she was already scolding herself for being too bold in her master presence. It were ages since she was serving someone so she forgot the most important rule- always remember your place

"And what's the deal with this illusion, what did you-

" I'm sorry"

"Will you let me fini-

"...What?" Wukong looked bewildered at the sight before him

Jie, the demoness who till now was speaking boldly to him, questioning his decisions and even arguing with him was now apologising while bowing her head so low that he didn't even saw her face.

Wukong didn't know what happened and hesitated for a moment but before he could say anything Jie spoke to him:

"I promise not to question your ways anymore"her voice was emotionless and stiff "Please, forgive my rudeness"

"Just... go home"

" Alright" She straightened up and cleaned her dress from dust, after making a few steps she turned back and looked at MK, who seemed to be really anxious "I know the power that you're wielding boy, use it well... and don't cause me any problems"

'Wait- Why does it sound like a warning?!'

Jie disappeared leaving MK with Monkey King alone

Monkey King shook his head and turned to MK, when the boy suddenly announced something;

"I like her!"

"...Huh?"

"She seems nice!" There was no insincerity in his words

"HUH?!" But there was a lot of shock in Sun Wukong's reaction

"Perfect for what?" MK asked the Monkey King with confusion

"To be... MY SUCCESSOR!" Sun Wukong answered in the most dramatic way possible

" Uh... Are you sure you are the Monkey King? You've been cooked up in here for way too long…" MK was checking the monkey's condition as if he was sick " I think your brain went moshed up..."

At that moment Monkey King put MK on the ground with his tail "Listen Kid" Suddenly he started searching for something in the stock of garbage behind him " You fought demons- and you didn't die and you made it here!" He opened a back of dry peaches " Not anyone can lift my staff, but you did" and started eating them.

MK looked at him with even bigger confusion.

"But what about the DBK?!"

"Pff..!" Wukong laughed "You can handle it!" He said while still eating peaches on his cloud "Consider it's a trial!"

"But I-" MK looked down

With that Wukong had no other choice but to give a kid some words.

" Look, if you can lift my staff you can use it" He came to MK and put a hand on his shoulder "Just believe in yourself- even a snitch makes all the difference"

MK looked at his idol with much more relief in his eyes.

AAAND... just when Wukong was about to finish...

Chomp!

A little friend came for a visit.

" Em... Monkey King?" MK looked behind Sun Wukong "I think something is trying to eat your tail"

Wukong didn't even have to look behind him. He knew this pair of little sharp fangs and a sound of wagging tail.

"You...." He looked at Gou all pissed for ruining his moment

Gou on the other hand let go of his tail to bark, probably for him it was a hello.

In no more than 5 second Wukong had summoned his cloud, put Gou on it and gave him a ride to his home.

" IF YOUR OWNER WILL LEAVE YOU HERE AGAIN I SWEAR TO HEAVEN I'M GONNA...- he thought for a while- "LOSE HER WAGES!!"- "though I don't remember paying her anyway..." he muttered the last part to himself

After a while he remembered about MK.

"Ah right!- Sorry, can you remind me when we have finished?"

Hello I don't know if you remember but my name is Jie! In case you wonder who I am let me introduce myself...

You see, once I was a pretty powerful fox demon- Buuuuut for some reason the Jade emperor said that I'm a little bit too powerful and dangerous or something like that, anyway after that the not so good Jade emperor took away half of my power and e.t.c, I had some boring depression after that when suddenly I decided that it would be nice to start a second life!

I was doing pretty great!

Till I realised that I was not fully able to protect myself anymore... after a long, long journey I found myself a perfect place to call home, I spent hundreds years peacefully till the evil lady and her angry son said 'Let's summon the angry bull demon and destroy the city! “Hahahaha”

And I didn't like their plan since lately I too live in the city!

So, brave me asked Monkey King, my old enemy (not really an enemy though) to help me fight the evil guys! He agreed and took me in as his servant (which is really a great honour to me) just before telling me...

That instead of lifting a finger he is going to send some human boy with no experience at all, so to sum it up kids...

"I was scammed..."

"Jie, You're being delusional again" Said Monkey King after the demoness finished her monologue, it was hard to hear his words since he still didn't finish his pack of peaches "I had never deceived you, if anything you should be grateful!

After saying that, he looked at Jie's face which was wearing a suspicious expression mixed with all her complaints.

'What the heck am I supposed to be grateful for?!'- was what she wanted to say

"Think about it this way!" Wukong tried to ease the mood "You practically won't need to intervene in anything since MK will take care of it, after I'll teach him of cou-

He stopped when he noticed that Jie's face didn't fix itself but rather the opposite, now it was screaming 'What a bullshit!'

"A-anyway..." Wukong continued not so confident anymore "Can't you at least wait till you meet him?"

"I'm sure you'll change your mind once you see him! I'm telling you, this boy is a true diamond in the rough!"

"And what if he isn't?" Suddenly Jie spoke with a serious look on her face "What if he's not a diamond but just a normal stone?"

Wukong fell silent for a while but sent her a dissatisfied look to show that she's going too far, yet Jie ignored it and continued.

" Think again master, after spending thousands years with humans you should know it already but humans are wicked creatures, they tend to be greedy and unlike other species they have a changing nature"

"... You're right, but demons also tend to be evil and unlike humans- they rarely change"

This time it was Jie who became silent, she actually didn't have anything more to say so she just clenched her teeth and looked away admitting defeat. Seeing this Monkey King let out a long sigh.

"Listen, we know each other for long enough-

"One month"

"Let me finish!*ahem* Okay, since we already know each other for those long, tiring 4 weeks... Why won't you just trust my judgment for now. I believe in that kid!"

Jie calculated everything they've been saying a while ago

"Alright Master"Her voice was much calmer "When will I get the chance to meet that precious successor of yours?

BOOM!

Within a second a loud sound reached their ears

"How about now?"

Everything was turned into ruins.

Jie wasn't sure who caused more damage- DBK or this black haired boy who wielded Monkey King's stuff

She and her master were standing on the head of a robot watching the group of those new "heroes"

"Soo... what do you think?" Wukong asked as if he was waiting for an applause from the fox demoness

"Master, do you want my opinion?"Jie looked at him kindly

Monkey King didn't respond, but there were more stars shining around him, so Jie treated it as an approval.

"I think you're not in your right mind" Jie spoke without hesitation in a cold tone

"Wha-WHY?!"- Wukong was really shocked by her reaction

" Is that him?" Unlike him, Jie stayed as calm as at the beginning

" Yes"

"THAT'S HIM?!" There was this one tiny blaze of fury in her voice

"...yes?" Wukong felt that blaze on the back of his neck

" So you- ahem..!- Master, you want to tell me that your successor, the new Monkey King, is this mortal? And my peace lays in his hands?!" She pointed at a boy who was swirling the staff around him and making some 'hero' poses

The great sage for some reason started escaping the red, piercing gaze of a fox demoness. But then he remembered his position as her master.

" Well~ if you want to know, I've been keeping a close eye on him from a very long time- AND LOOK"- he started pointing at the boy,  who was going somewhere with his friends "You see what he holds in his hands- MY STUFF!"

" Wow, the chosen of a stick" Jie didn't even care about her attitude towards her master "Beware of his power demons and builders" at the last word she looked around the ruins of the city

Monkey King was at the end of his patience. The times when Jie would use sarcasm where rare, but honestly's she was acting a hell of arrogant while using them. It can be said that it was her tricky fox nature switching on.

" Just give kid some time and you'll see for yourself"

Jie didn't expect such a calm answer.

Sigh

"Your right"

"Of course!- now go, make yourself some tea, feed your... pet and-

"I need to check for myself"

"W-What?!"

With that Jie disappeared leaving poor Monkey King with tons of unanswered questions.

"I wonder if I should worry about it?"
