Jisnooze, stop snoozing your alarm and get up already! I'm leaving you behind if you don't get ready in 10 mins!
《@gayoune》
She wasn’t an early morning person. Granted, this grumpy kittenwasn’t much of an afternoon person, or a night person. In fact, she’d like toargue she wasn’t a person if her fellow student and close friend didn’t giveher the evil eye before she could even say the words that floated about in hermind as she drifted in and out of sleep. In her dreams, in the confinement ofher own mind, she could enjoy things that she would never dare to think of consciouslywith her blankets and canopy a suspicious lay out that may or may not remind ofa stage. All that was missing was a spotlight.
“Ten more minutes,” she grumbled in repetition, attemptingto swat at the voice that attempted to jostle her out of her slumber. She enjoyedsleep and was convinced she was making up for years upon years of not gettingthe recommended amount. She was doing some serious business here, did Gayoungnot understand? “Le…leave?” her words lilted, followed by a smile that clearlywas at peace. “Eung, leave! Be...” she yawned, rolling over to hug the nearest pillow,“…safe.”
For the life of her, Jisoo couldn’t remember what it wasthat they had planned so ungodly early in the morning to begin with nor couldshe find a good reason to do so. Whatever it is, be it a class, a project, worldpeace, whatever it is be damned. Shewasn’t leaving the warmth of her bed anytime soon. Besides, in a few seconds asthe warm tones behind her lids turned dark, she realized it was only a fewseconds till her fated turn at the mic.

( sms ) My plan won’t work then… ( sms ) Your name was dropped when I made my excuse 😩 ( sms ) … ㅋㅎㅋㅎ
When her hair was piled up on the top of her head, tied into a bun and her bangs pinned back, it always meant business. Whether she was writing a piece for school, or doing one of her many freelance tip offs, she didn’t hear nor listen to anyone else during these times. So, it comes as no surprise that the moment she took a break, when the sun had long set and her stomach was gurgling and grumbling its displeasure, she had an influx of text messages and notifications come in. With a groan at her multiple alarms for deadlines, she spun around in her computer chair, air filling her lungs and puffing her cheeks as she stared at the brightly colored display. When she finally got around to Ailee’s messages it was already too late to playfully ( and respectfully ) cancel.
Well, shit.
Pinching the bridge of her nose, she pondered what she could do now, as the singer was probably already on her way to their usual designated meeting spot. They had met when she was… well, in the past, when Jisoo was trying to get a more native accent to her English and had hit it off ever since. And Yejin Eonnie? She was someone that welcomed her despite her absence for nearly a year, like nothing had even happened. And for that, she was grateful even if she couldn’t quite articulate it to the older’s face. Perhaps that’s why this situation left her floundering for a way to fix the situation instead of shrugging it off nonchalantly had it been any other person.
( sms ) 언니 ... ah what to do? ( sms ) ah... cham, well, okay, do you want to change our usual meeting place to my apartment instead? it can be a chill night! Pizza or...err...chicken? I’ve got a bit of work I need to finish up ( sms ) 아 진짜 미안해요 ㅠ sorry, just for today?

Her phone lit up with the sudden notification, but the brightened display goes on without notice. It illuminates from the front pocket she keeps it stored in with the extra roll of receipt paper, and if it’s timed right she can use it to pretend she’s iron man for the little boy, her favorite regular, after his english tutoring session upstairs. Ah, but seconds tick by. Another order, out of strawberry croissants. Minutes fly. A toss of her crimson apron, it’s break time. Two hours later. Well, fuck.
( kkt ) h a h a h a pfft why should I? ( kkt ) ain’t got no one to save me ( 12 crying emojis, probably ) ( kkt ) just kidding where did you get yourself stuck this time? ( kkt ) i could use a little distraction but could you wait like idk another 2 hours?

MEET PARK JISOO: a trainee since the age of eight has finally come to her wit’s end, the ideal jyp example turning into something she’d never thought possible ( nor will she ever admit ): a quitter. Fast forward a few years, past SIXTEEN, past TWICE’S debut, and we have our journalism major unknowingly tapping her foot to the catchy tune of a song she will never get to sing. But she sees nothing wrong that, in fact, she’s quite certain she made the right decision. You have to wake up from the dream and live in reality. Only then can new dreams form.

A sneer. Then a chuckle. Then the rhythmic beating of her thumbs over the smooth surface of her phone followed the tell tale beep and overly cute notification sound of her kakao. As much as the girl complained about it, she sure never took the time to turn the notification sounds off. Perhaps she even liked it, that sound of intervention into her daily routine.

@gayoune:
Gayoung, in a loose T-shirt and a crazily patterned shorts stood outside the car with only her phone in her hand and an expression on her face that shows confusion. Despite being unclear of the situation, she knows that when Jisoo actually admits that she’s not feeling the best in the middle of the night, she knows that something must have triggered her. Wordlessly, she got into the car anyway and puts on the seat belt before looking at her good friend with a wide smile. “Sure let’s go! Just make sure we don’t stop at any fancy place and you’re paying for everything.”
Manicured nails tapped against the steering wheel of her cousin’s car, lips swiping over her parched lips and eyes turning towards the person she had made a specific and very special pit stop for. Jisoo herself couldn’t pinpoint why she was there or what made her think of Gayoung at this point in time. They were good friends, but usually when she felt another sleepless night coming along, she liked to spend her thought filled nights alone. And yet her she was, lips parting to reveal a mischevious smile, head tilting to the side as she leaned against the head rest of the passenger’s seat. “No shoots or homework tonight, Gayoons?” she murmured, waving the other into the car, her foot just itching to step on the gas and zoom away from everything, if even for a few hours. “Good thing money’s not a problem,” she murmured, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively at the other. “Is that the only reason why you’re coming? My money? Heol.”
You only wanted to hear three words, but I’m an entire book.
