Doing a photo a day was an interesting experience as at first I was sure I would struggle as I had hoped to capture interesting things. Although, I ended up taking photos that lead more to the random side. My expectations were a lot different than my experience but overall, I still enjoyed doing this. It allowed me to get used to having my camera with me at all times as there were instances that I was able to capture things around me. Even if at first I was also afraid of my photos not being as great as my classmates I believe the ones I have are just as interesting. I have also learned how to pay close attention as there are often many things that get overlooked. Sometimes even the pictures we think are boring, still manage to have a good backstory to it. I have also learned to feel more comfortable taking the camera with me to many places such as the grocery store or petsmart. I was always afraid of being looked at weird or employees telling me that I could not have it there but I was able to come to the realization that this wouldn't happen without a reason. If I could do it again there would be many things that I would do differently including getting closer (not just for APAD but also for my project). I would also take multiple photos with different settings just to have options to choose from and not having to dwell on the thought of “what if I would've taken this with flash?”. I have always wanted to use photography to show the world through my eyes and I feel that throughout this project I was feeling more confident and didn't care too much about what others would think.
