I always had mixed feelings on the first day of school. It was a very polarized mental battle. "New beginnings! Shaping my own future! Optimism!" vs "I hate structured learning. F the man. Cynicism." Pretty sure I was channeling that angsty 'school is prison' cliché when I took this film shot in Grade 11 or 12. Photography and arts/media studies were what made me get up every day.
