We walked in the rain, had real deep dish pizza, got tattoos, drank lots of coffee and tequila, admired architecture and conquered a new city. I haven't laughed so much and so hard in a verrrrry long time. This trip was so very needed for my soul, and I didnt even realize how much. In the movies, it seems like everyone is always in London, whether it’s 007 in an underground casino, Jason Statham in an action sequence or Sherlock Holmes solving yet another mystery. It’s truly the stuff movies are made of. When we stepped off our train and into an adorable pink cab, I knew we were in for a treat. . . I had a great chat with a polish bartender, who served me THE BEST fries that I dipped in THE BEST homemade mayo of my lifetime, I did my laundry (at this point all I had were crop tops and sweatpants), we road on a true London double decker bus, did our first hop off city tour, we crossed the breathtaking London Bridge, we walked through a protest, we gazed through the gates of Buckingham Palace in true tourist form, we walked The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Walk, fed pigeons because “what would Mary Poppins do?”, we saw Big Ben, the London Eye and the Tower of London and we listened to their history, we had dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant where we had delicious cannelloni, prawns, pizza, wine and gelato! I still don’t understand the point of a queen or dutchess, but I definitely see why your are so adored. London, it was grand! 🍻Cheerio! . All together, we spent time in 3 English cities and hands down this was our favorite!!! . Next stop Newcastle/Durham, UK🚘 . . . O.M.Goodness!!! We felt so freakin loved on this leg of our trip, its crazy to think about. Dan and Lea were the most gracious hosts we could have asked for. . We drove on the wrong side of the road in a snow storm, Shopped at Tescos, Dined at @south_causey_inn , Slept in a real castle, Met a turtle and a sweetie pie named Lil, Climbed an iced path to a Harry Potter cathedral, Ate our first pasties, Drank more tea than ever before and Had the best Fish 'n' Chips of our lives.
