Or my version of it. First of all let me say that I recognize that it is a privilege and an honor to be treated at one of the best hospitals in the world. And things are supposed to go wrong so that I have the opportunity to face life with grace and a sense of humor. And secondly I want you to know that this story will have a happy ending. It was probably about 90 and moderately humid in downtown Boston yesterday. I was told my first two tests would be in the Shapiro Building. There are three Shapiro buildings in Boston. My brother had to make a conference call and dropped me off. After walking around the area schlepping my bag with my binder, book, lunch I found the correct building. I had to drink 40 oz of freezing cold water for my first test and of course I left my fleece in the car. I had to ask for warm blankets because my teeth were chattering and I was shivering. People were moving away from me in the waiting room because I am sure they thought I had some communicable disease. After the CT scan and echocardiogram I walked across to the Dana Farber for my four o'clock appointment with the oncologist which happened at 5:15. It was a very good meeting and indications are that I will be accepted into the clinical trial my original oncologist and I are hoping for. Then it was an EKG and big blood draw and I was done after 6 hours. Got a call from the nurse today that due to a computer glitch on their end I have to have the blood redrawn tomorrow. Locally, thank goodness. If all goes well I will know what my treatment will be next week and begin the following. Thank you for all the prayers, support and interest. And so I get to practice patience, grace and humor. And if I drink water I can go out and sprinkle the lawn.

UPDATE:
On July 13, 2017 Meryl and Fedor were engaged. Fedor had her ring specially made and it is a canary yellow diamond. Back on January 3, 2017 I posted engagement rings that Meryl liked…..majority of them were canary yellow diamonds.
About two years ago, I came across a picture of a wedding dress that screamed “Meryl” to me. I know that wedding dresses are a very personal choice.
This is just me sharing the style of dress I would love to see on her.
Long sleeves are very in fashion for brides.

I don't think I ever heard Meryl said that she broke up w/ Fedor in any interview. Did Kristin ever say where she got the idea? When all the Maksyl crap was going on, George Penacchio always contended that Meryl has a boyfriend and the DWTS pros said Maksyl was pure business. That is why I was sideeying her and Maks whenever they coyly answer the question of whether they were dating. Pros also confirmed that Maks had been trying to get back w/ Peta since Season 18.
Meryl never addressed it,just said she was single that summer.I have no idea where Kristin got it. As for George I don’t even know who he is.As for Maks though trying to get back with Peta? Why did he take Devin Brughman to Italy then in September? Who takes an escort to Italy and shares a room with her if he is trying to rekindle a romance with another woman? I think the season 18 thing isn’t true. At least I hope so for Peta’s sake. I mean if I was thinking of getting back together with an old boyfriend that dumped me that would be a deal breaker for me. Going to Italy with another woman? No, I would kick his ass to the curb.
It was all odd until Sway.

Great facts Dolphina!!! Plus the magic when they danced back then, and later the magic was gone. And Meryl said she was moving to LA in an interview after the DWTS season, and she didn’t, and never said another word about it!
Of course there was! Sway 2 - it took us 3 hours for a 2 hour drive. We were rushing, trying to find a parking space. We finally had to park in the neighborhood and we ran not to miss the opening. We rushed in the front door out of breath and Dad was right there, "Come on, Hurry up, Were waiting for you" smiling and laughing at these two "old" ladies running. We had floor seats but as we approached the back I assumed we went upstairs and not through the curtain ground floor. I stopped on the third or fourth step when someone said, your seats are down here. As I got to the bottom step about to turn who should be coming out of the theatre but Maks and Meryl; holding hands and talking very close to each other. As they passed, I said in astonishment, "Hey you two". They both turned around and smiled and continued on their way out the theatre. What I saw that day there was no doubt.
Having said that, I do believe that something happened either during or after that day's evening performance. Nicole, Peta, Sharna? A fling, a happenstance, a dream of something? Maybe nothing but a close friendship. We'll never know.
Do you think it's a coincidence that Fedor proposed after the wedding? Nah.
Speaking of wedding dresses
I had a handmade wedding dress for my second wedding. It was handmade by the roadside peddler I bought it from for about $12 US somewhere between Masvingo and Harare, Zimbabwe in 1986. My lovely bouquet came from the floral department at the A&P.
Well, I actually had a handmade dress for my first wedding, too. I made it myself with a McCall’s pattern and some sprigged muslin fabric that gave my mom conniptions because it was not all white. (It had little blue flowers scattered around on it.)
Mine was handmade by the lady next door..A line linen with lace elbow length sleeves and hem.

No, I did. Also the bridesmaids . They made their own. If I can figure out how to post a picture in this thread, I will.
I'm making a 3 piece outfit for my daughter's wedding. Not only can my friends not believe it they think I'm nuts. I just can't bring myself to spend a fortune on a dress I'll never wear.
Meryl just started following a place called The Knot, I don't know if its an actual place or a place that plans weddings. Its funny because the bride they show in their promo has a skirt on her wedding gown made of the stuff like Petas.
It is more of a web site that is kind of like yelp for brides with advertising. They suggest all kinds of things to do with weddings and honeymoons and brides rate their experiences with different things.as far as I can tell. I have looked at it a little with Renee. They are getting married at the Swan house and I helped her look at the reviews for it.
The Knot is a place where brides and grooms can go and have a free website for posting info about your registry, your story, directions to your wedding venue, etc. they also offer lots of etiquette info and links to various services. My daughter is getting married in October. I know. 😏

I can't believe Meryl is engaged :')
I started this blog primarily about her and Maks(#maksyl) 3 years ago. Three years later, so much has changed but it’s still about love, even if the focus of my blog shifted a bit. I love that she’s engaged, I love that Maks is married with a baby. And I love that Meryl and Maks brought me here to celebrate so many ups and downs in this little fandom. Sorry I feel happy and emotional right now. Yay for love and bring on the wedding plans!!
I came here for Meryl and Maks, too, but stayed here for the friendships I have developed. I have always been a big fan of Meryl’s.

I wasn't implying that there was anything wrong with the wedding. I meant that it was like most weddings, they just had better dancing.
Okay. I think it was a very nice wedding that was probably a lot of fun for everyone there. It was just a little on the vanilla side for me.
I'm in the middle of planning my daughter's wedding. This was a 3 day affair at a castle. No ordinary feat for planning and for a wedding. I can't even begin to imagine the time and thought that went into the details, schedule, moving people from one place to another, child care, etc. I can't even imagine the cost because I know - it's endless. You have to keep in mind it's what they wanted.
Would you venture a ballpark guess as to the price tag on Maks wedding which I'm sure he paid for himself.
My guess would be Nicole got a deal. This place was the “dernier cri” in the 90’s. Last ten years it has just been “cri”. They have specialized in commitment ceremonies until gay marriage became legal.I think Maks mentioned in an interview that he always wanted to be married here. I think actually it is the same place that he and Karina would have been married. Before I get attack anons I am basing that on Karina saying he did all the planning that had been done and had a certain place he always wanted to be married. So the evidence to me is this is it.Anyway I think that having the place in all the mags and mentioned over and over would be worth a hefty discount. I mean look how many times Nicole named it in her IG.If he paid for everything himself about 250,000 assuming he got the best of everything they have and booked it from 12 Friday until 12 Sunday.I am basing this on weddings friends have paid for with similar amenities.I am at the age where everybody’s kids are getting married and we all complain about the cost. Lol.
I totally agree on the cost or even more.
With all these DWTS weddings this summer it's going to be interesting to see which one falls apart first, Peta, Julianne or Erin. My money is on either Julianne or Erin and I lean towards Erin due to her fiancee's cocaine issues.

Good grief. Any couple beginning their marriage should have well wishes and not thoughts of doom and gloom. People make mistakes and learn from them, move on to having a successful life.

If everyone liked the same things the world would look boring. With designer dresses like that though you usually have to be close up to see the difficulty of the draping and the fine details that make it cost so much.I have black wool skirts that cost 350.00 and until you look at them closely you can’t tell the difference bdtween them and Ann Taylor.
That's a ridiculous statement. Fine designer clothing is mainly hand made and maybe only one in each size. The yards of silk and attention to detail, the time spent on perfection is what makes a dress unique and expensive.

I am old and basically conservative when it comes to sharing personal information. I didn’t need to know that, but it is indicative of who they are and how they have no filter in what they share. I think she took what could have been a delightful discussion of parenthood and turned it into something voyeuristic.
Well the judges had the same look of astonishment on their faces when Simone got kicked off that they did when Charlie got kicked off. Len was the most dramatic of all of them, tho, in showing his disbelief.
Awww. I just got home from dinner but I am sad for her.
Not sure why they were surprised, they’ve been nitpicking her the entire season and their scoring does sway the voting.
@breezininn. One little session with Carrie Ann and miraculously Simone is faaabulous! 🙄. Those judges hold different stars to different standards. They picked on her all season and now are so shocked. I'm so over this show. Hope Val enjoys his 3rd mirror ball.
