My good friend @demberly is stuck in an area of the United States where resources are rare for help with electricity bills. They have to pay $603.80 for their electric bill by the 28th and it's the only electric company in the area, so if they don't pay they lose their electricity with no other options. They also had another bill come out that overdrafted them by $510, so the grand total they need to come up with is $1113.80
In their own words, "(We) have a pride and welfare that they referred us to. They did refer us to a place in Charleston but they refused us because we don't live in their area, and my dad makes more than their preferred amount (he's on social security.). But Pride will pay 300, but they won't cover the full amount. Welfare, we already did the lieap program last year and they aren't taking it until winter for this year. They said there was an emergency relief one that won't be available until the 18th to call back, that they may or may not be able to get for us. We have till before the 28th to pay in full or they'll disconnect us and kick us out of the payment program. A lady told us before check day (the 3rd) that we only had to pay 198 and then 200 and something next check day (April) for the payment plan until the big amount (600+) was paid for for mom to call back in a few days, so we did that last week, and The person that we talked to after that including all the others that we have talked to, said that we had to pay in full. AEP is the only power company my town has so they raise the prices whenever they feel like it."

We got the rent covered (thanks to everyone who reblogged and donated), but it took all of our money and we can’t pay our bills this month. We need to raise money to cover things like car insurance, our electric bill, the storage unit we rent, and my overdraft with my bank and a few loan repayments. Our storage unit is the most pressing, since if we don’t pay the $294 by the 10th it goes up.
I included a list of everything we need to pay below. I can get proof for all of it if anyone has any questions on validity. I’m hoping after I get this month and next month taken care of I won’t need to ask for as much help; I’m in a debt relief program for my credit cards and some loan debt, and most of the loans I’m left with will be paid off by May 1st, which will free up $400 a month to put towards bills. I’ll still need some help until my debts are paid off, but it will probably only be for one or two bills.

Last night my mom got a stabbing and persistent pain in her chest with vomitting and had to be taken to the ER. She was diagnosed with gallstones and a hernia, she came back home the next morning at 7 am.
While at my work shift today (some 5 hours ago) my dad announced to our family group chat that at midday she got the same pains and vomitting again, she was taken to the ER once more, and this time it was immediate emergency surgery instead of pain management.
We are already extremely indebted and broke, and now this. Any help if you can afford it is appreciated, please. We've been asking for loans to buy bread for over a year at this point.

Hi! my name is Jenna Lawson and I am a 24 year old trans woman who just started estrogen yesterday (March 1st, 2022). I am currently battling blood cancer and have been given a 30% chance of survival. When I found out I had cancer, I realized that time is precious and I need to carry out my dream of helping other trans people.
Goals For This Project:
My first goal and mission through this project is to help trans kids who wish to pursue HRT therapy get their HRT.
My second goal is to give out trans specific items that make them feel more comfortable in their identity.
Questions to be answered:
1. How are kids/youth selected for the Protect Trans Kids Fund?
For The HRT Fund
For both funds, kids are selected based on personal nomination or parental nomination. Nominations can be inboxed to me on here or on Twitter (@jennaisjewish).
As far as the HRT fund goes: every six months, I will pick a new recipient. I have set it up this way so as not to overwhelm the fund with too many new recipients. We want to ensure we can provide HRT, as long as it cannot be afforded personally, to the individual.
For Trans Specific l Items Fund
Recipients will be selected on an ongoing basis and will be selected often. The amount of recipients will depend on how much funds are available at the time.
Note for both funds: Names WILL NOT be released unless we are given explicit permission so as to protect the identities and safety of trans youth.
2. What countries will we serve?
Right now, our fund will be limited to Canada (those who aren’t covered under their provincial plan) and The United States as a pilot. If there is enough interest in those wanting our service and those donating, we will expand our horizons.
3. How will the money be distributed?
It will be distributed through PayPal so there must be approval by an adult who has a PayPal OR you must have your own account. This is to ensure that funds can be easily accounted for and are tracked in one place.
