I had no idea that General Washington held a dislike for New Englandā¦ It is certainly inappropriate, yes? Was it not New England that started this struggle for independence? I, myself, have a respect for our delegates from there.
But we cannot spare this manā¦ he is essential for our struggle for freedom.
Dear Mr. Madison,
Itās been an awfully long time since I have heard from you, I am very worried.
I have tried to send you many letters before but you have not opened them, I hope maybe youāll open this one but I find it unlikely.
I do not wish to soundā¦ āclingy,ā but I find myself saddened by your absence. If the reason you are not responding to my letters is the things you told me then I truly am sorry. I never wished to hurt you or make you angry in the slightest bit. You are very dear to me, truly.
Please, if you see this I wish for at least one letter in return. But of course I shall understand if you do not wish to send one.
