On the way to Hinterland we stopped off in Cumbernauld. We didn’t have enough time to properly explore the whole town but did visit the town centre which is all based around the shopping centre in the middle. It felt weird that the whole town centre was a series of shopping centres joined together. It included the library and nursery and dentists and lawyers all in one place. Some of the centre has been modernised but there were older quieter areas many that was a lot of areas that were not accessible by the public.

We spoke to a woman for a bit about it and I noticed her mentioning the town centre a lot and referring to the building we were in which just seemed so weird as most town centres are a area of outdoor streets.

Interesting how the building has created a relationship with nature and that now has to be destroyed.
