In My Mind

There are things we don’t want to happen but, we have to accept, things we don’t want to know but we have to learn.

Oh, how I miss the embrace of my children and grandchildren. I miss the way they smell and the tears of happiness when I hold them. I cry when I see their pictures on Instagram. I have had to miss my beloved son’s wedding. I’ve done hard before. I was in the pit of hell, I survived by the Grace of God. I have had my heart broken. My pocket-book empty. I had to say goodbye to my husband. I’m miss my dog Boo, who was having seizures the end of her life. I’ve had to deal with lawyer’s. But what I miss the most is my children. What I miss most are my grandchildren. I miss my friends. And I miss jumping into the car to go get a shredded chicken salad with extra pico from Cafe Rio. I’ve done hard before but I really miss my kids. I’ve done hard before.

Sometimes you just gotta let shit go and say, “To hell with it” and move on.

There is a wondrous power about the character of Christ, for the more you regard it the more you will be conformed to it. I behold Jesus Christ, and I become like Jesus Christ.
