I had a total tragedy with my axie about three weeks ago, my filter totally malfunctioned when I was away for a few nights and it spewed what I can only think was oil from the motor into the tank, I came back and the tank was a cloudy mess of this brown black grossness, and my axie was just not alive, I was way too late. She was cold and pale, stiff and her gills were a grey/black. I was so heartbroken. 

Deciding that it was time to try again, although I didn’t get an axie, I got two beautiful Oscars. They are maybe only two inches in size (much closer to an inch though), but I look forward to training them like I have done in the past with Oscars. 

I feel like JD is really enjoying his new set up. I added a glass vase to the right and a stump hide on the left. He's also been introduced to the occasional blood worm treat once a week or so. I am thinking of adding an African clawed frog and/or snail to his tank.

Also his fins are looking so much better, finally. Its been a battle.

JD now has a room mate (which he very much wasn't happy about me bringing home I think cause the whole set up time he was flaring ALOT at me...) named Kahlua.
