Here’s why! Dreadlocks can be natural, for ANYONE. They can grow in if you don’t maintain your hair for a while. You can crochet straight hair into dreadlocks, and you’d have to take time out of your day to maintain your hair. Dreadlocks are hard to maintain. So instead of saying that white hair dreads are cultural appropriation, just remember this post and realize that it’s not, it’s a natural hairstyle. Plus, it’s not an “African Hairstyle”. They originated in Egypt, the pharaohs wore them. Then later on in 1700BC in Hindu Vedic, the God Shiva wore matted dreads. So, it’s not cultural appropriation.
