I think that a lot of people, especially men of the arts, avoided studying and using mathematics.
I guess some people think ・How useful is mathematics ?
・I can't understand "Calculus".
・Numbers make me feel bad.
But there are the following advantages if you learn mathematics.
・You can think things logically. ・You can quantify personal belongings. ・You can think "Why is it?"
１）You can think things logically I guess you learned "Set theory" and "Logic" in your math class.
These are necessary not only when you study mathematics but also when you communicate with other people on your job.
For example, we are having a meeting for the purpose of introducing AI which does office work. A chair person said "We have to hire some engineers in order to introduce the AI."
Then, if I use logical words, hiring some engineers is a |requirement| to introduce the AI. And then, introducing the AI is a sufficient conditions to hire some engineers.
However, the purpose of the meeting is introducing AI which does office work, so we have to think the "～～" of '"doing ～～" is sufficient conditions to introduce AI which does office work'.
And we have to find the set of "～～".
２）You can quantify personal belongings If you can do mathematics, you can quantify personal belongings.
For example, the question "if you go to the shopping mall which is 100km from your house by car and you have to follow the rule of speed, how early do you have to leave your house at least?"
For example, if the section which you have to run no more than 60km/h is 50km and the section which you have to run no more than 50km/h is 50km, you need <50(km)/60(km/h)+50(km)/50(km/h)=1.83333...(h)> 1 hours and 50 minutes, so you have to leave your house by 8:10 at latest.
