So, first off, this scene from the extended version of the pilot, which I feel should have made it into the broadcast airing, that I love for a few reasons, some of them being:

A) Ezekiel’s motion between the two of them, and also the fact that he followed the sound of Jake’s voice (which I admit is really completely innocuous, but I still love it).

B) Jake slamming Ezekiel into the bookcase, and the fact that Ezekiel’s reaction is more along the lines of ‘wow you‘re strong” than anything else. (I also love that, throughout the series, whenever Ezekiel is somehow physically restrained, he’s always unworried (& slightly turned on) by it, like he‘s already figured a way out (whether by regular thief skills or magical means *cough demigod Ezekiel cough*))

Top 3 Fave Jazekiel Moments (requested by anon) 2/3

Basically every Ezekiel & Jake interaction from ‘and the Happily Ever Afters’, and also the fact that so much of the fandom seems to just accept the fact that they were together in that universe. But my actual fave moment is a three-way tie between:

A) Jake giving Ezekiel a beer in this pretty much completely unnecessary moment. Like, he could have easily handed it to him and scooted over, but no, they had to do that.

B) Their little toast and Jake’s soft glance at him, while they’re basically leaning on each other.

And, of course, we have this scene from ‘and the Eternal Question’ where Ezekiel ‘doesn’t do punchy’ Jones is able to do all this. Which is mostly being Jake’s makeshift weapon, but still, you can’t convince me they haven’t practiced this before. Also: (Ezekiel’s chest peaking through his shirt. jk. not really tho.)

A) Obviously, there’s the “I can’t do this alone.” “You got me.” “Glad you feel that way.” exchange which was amazing and one of the highlights of this episode.

B) Like, really, we know Jake has been training with Eve, but I feel like Jake’s gone to Ezekiel after a few of their sessions and been like, “Dude, you gotta let me show you how to do this.”
