One of the most important financial advice came from my conservative parents. They would always tell me to prepare for bad days in business because it won’t always be good days. I never listened to them. I thought hard work and smart work will always make you money. I reinvested and reinvested in my business without any cushion. Little did I realize that they had predicted what would happen to me in the future. A study showed that 78% of people will have a negative financial event in the next 10 years. 8/10 of us. I overextended myself. I wasn’t ready for a negative financial event. I was so busy running my business in a sunny day that I forgot to bring an umbrella in case it rained. The umbrella I’m talking about is Savings. Save! Save! Save! In sunny days, expect stormy days so you won’t get wet.
