Yikes.

FIFA is absolutely stupid. My country is playing one town over. I have adult money (I spent 700$ on the PWHL in the last month). I love football more than anything. I am not going to go see my country despite all the empty seats because, no offense to the teams, 3000$ for the first group stage game is not it. I paid 20$ for nosebleed tickets for the Women's World Cup in 2015.

The World Cup is the most watched sporting event after the Olympics (the finale is the single most watched event). The fans from the countries making it a good sport and making a party in the stands are traveling all over the world. The prices and distance between stadiums and borders are making it a pain to follow your national team (and don't get me started on the teams like my team France getting unfair advantages from the stadiums being super close).

But also, with the regime in place, US citizens who have roots with one country or the other, who could fill the stadiums by virtue of being close... Are they really going to go? With ICE and their inhumane treatment of anyone who is darker than a ghost heavily implied to be part of security (which isn't their place).

I'm not talking about Hanna's story, addressing SA is important and especially in a place notable for its toxic culture.

This would be the only all-public platform where mpreg is advertised.

Many people are prevented from being themselves even in countries where it's perfectly legal to be 2SLGBTQIA+, due to toxic cultures still being predominant in many places including sports (especially men's hockey). And even when the culture isn't as close minded, little things like inclusive language can make people feel comfortable.
