also this is quite literally why black people should be able to critique japanese and in general, east asian media / culture that happens to be antiblack. y'all have mentioned above, our culture is being taken . but also shit like the kpop industry (someone mentioned south korea), is full of anti-blackness. going back to japan specifically, there are a lot of animes – RECENT and or POPULAR–animes that have anti-black undertones that we should be able to call out w/out being called ‘anti-asian’
