The Collapse: The Accidental Fall of The Berlin Wall by Mary Elise Sarotte- on my reading list immediately. What a fantastic talk by the author, the photo in the picture shows one of the more memorable moments of East Germans leaving East Berlin for the West. I even got her perspective on the transition from communism to democracy while she was living there. Too much fun! Thanks to #ACG and @gi_newyork for a wonderful event. "Jenner by Sea: population 170" Yesterday, the beach got elevated to a whole new level when we went to the Sonoma Coast. The Russian Gulch Beach is something to be admired. I've never been to a beach this gorgeous in the United States. Water so blue, dark sand, the views...It's no wonder people from California are always bragging 😉. This is definitely a happy place. Yesterday I went on a hike in the Redwoods. It's the first time I've been to a nature preserve like this. It's something everyone should experience once. Aside from how beautiful it is, how old and deep the forest goes makes one think about how small one is, place in life and how we can continue to survive and thrive while keeping our original composition.
