Diplomamunkám egy olyan könyvsorozat, melyben tematikusan osztom fel a világ legkülönbözőbb pontjain megszólaló népdalokat.

Érdekesnek találom, hogy mennyire ugyanazokat az érzéseket, problémákat, és tapasztalatokat élik át az emberek, akárhol is legyenek. A közös sors pedig különböző képekkel bontakozik ki.

Munkám fő forrása Szőnyi Erzsébet Biciniumok sorozata, melynek kötetei népek szerint vannak osztva. Az összehasonlítás izgalmának reményében én négy témában csoportosítom a dalokat (munkadalok, bölcsődalok, szerelmi énekek, gyermekjátékok), így egymás közvetlen szomszédaiként jelenhetnek meg a különböző kultúrák.
