a mother fuckin trip to say the least. you were the year that pushed me to my limits and tested my capabilities. from the very beginning i already knew that you were going to be a difficult one, but i accepted the challenge and got a few good and bad surprises along the way. 2016, you had me stressed. you gave me sleepless nights and draining days that never failed to end in a puddle of tears. you gave me a shit ton of work that i am ultimately grateful for. you pushed my stress levels to its highest peak that led me to a moment where me, my family, friends and the people that watched me work so hard can be proud of.  2016, you made me sad. really sad. but i can’t thank you enough, because the life lessons that you taught me are far more valuable than the devastation i would feel in the year. you taught me that whatever we feel is only temporary, so we have to keep carrying on to move on to something greater. that time in my life is something i wanted to move on from, so thank you for bringing me exactly what i needed to do so. 2016, you brought me happiness. beyond the little moments of pain and heartache, you brought me something to look forward to. you brought me back the motivation to work on my goals. you gave me a better perspective on my path in life, albeit being really confusing at times. you even brought a few unexpected surprises that turned out to be really great moments i wont forget. 2016, you taught me a lot. i learned that whatever is taken away from us will come back to us in another form. i learned how truly short life really is and we must savor each moment like it is our last. i learned that we must go for it, no matter the outcome. i learned that it is better to try at success with the possibility of failure, than to stay static and never try at all. i learned so much about myself, my craft, my passions, my friends and their passions, and how much love and support we give each other.
