 after skipping out on the recoupling ceremony last night for some much needed reflection, jamie found himself feeling a new sense of clarity as he narrowed down his options for who to couple up with this time around. he hadn’t got a chance to talk to most of the bombshells, but still had an interest in getting to know what they were about—one in particular being, thea. as he scanned over the villa for the beauty, he finally made his way over to her once he peered in on her bearings.  ❝ hey, can i steal you for a moment ? ❞ querying in true dating tv fashion, he flashed her a warm smile in hopes that their delayment of a proper introduction didn’t cause any reluctance.                 @chcfthea

❝ i guess you’re right about the territory thing, you about to have me looking over my shoulder paranoid and shit looking for damn monkeys. ❞ shaking his head with a chuckle, he finally clicked his seatbelt in the adjacent set of seats on the shuttle, still close enough to hold a personable conversation. ❝ you sound well traveled, that’s what’s up. this is my first time even out of the country. i’m used to only traveling around the states for tattoo conventions and whatnot—i’m glad i’m rolling with somebody who know what they doing, don’t be mad when i whoop you during this race though. i’m about to show up and show out. ❞ shrugging his shoulders lightheartedly, he flashed the male a devious grin in good fun.  ❝ i’m from kansas, kansas, city born and raised. ❞ he started, establishing his birthplace before answering the rest of his question. ❝ not lanky ass. maan, i appreciate the invite though. i definitely feel like i’ve been doing my own thing too. staying as neutral as possible was always my game plan overall and that might be my downfall. it’s like i got my eyes set on someone and just focused in and forgot about trying to get to know everyone else. i can honestly admit that. i’m really enjoying getting to know my match though, she’s dope and she’s someone i would go after back home. all i can do now is hope that shit works out.. if not, i’m back at square one. ❞ rambling about, he glanced over at tahj.  ❝ what about you ? how’s love island been treating you for the most part ? ❞      

with the extended invitation from tahj, jamie found himself jumping at the opportunity to leave the villa and explore st. lucia a bit. at the word of the shuttle’s arrival, the male followed alongside his castmate with excitement at what the day had in store for them. ❝ attacked by some monkeys ? man what you know that i don’t ? ❞ now sporting a nervous grin, he let his expression soon after fall into a fit of laughter. already aware of the activity of the day, he mentally prepared himself for the change of pace that riding atvs would offer.  ❝ shit , back home ? hell nah. this is definitely a first for me. i’m looking forward to it though, this some bucket list type shit for me. i’ve always wanted to do it. i’m assuming you have before ? ❞

           ❝ pappy tore my ass up. i’m convinced that man used to play for the globetrotters with the tricks his old ass was pulling. had me scared to step on a court for awhile after that. ❞ laughing through his honesty, he shook his head as he relived the embarrassment.  ❝ you know.. i’ve heard that my whole life and still only played for the hell of it, and not even in school, i just played basketball with my boys from up the way when we got time. ❞ he added with a smile, missing the simplicity of his youth. ❝ the island has been cool.. i mean, it definitely depends on who you ask. it has its wild moments, but when you consider what we’re here for it’s only fair. i would really say it’s been interesting. ❞ now eyeing the newcomer in curiosity. ❝ you here to find love or are you here for the money ? i gotta’ know. ❞     

           ❝ would you believe me if i told you i didn’t have one ? well at least i can’t think of one. i never really dealt with anyone that had me embarrassed like that. ❞ shrugging his shoulders, he took another moment to think of his past relationships.  ❝ i feel like the closest thing i can think of when it comes to embarrassing is getting my ass handed to me in basketball by this girl’s old ass father. it doesn’t even have much to do with her, but i was talking all this shit about being the goat on the court—so of course, i never got to live that down as long as me and her were together. ❞
