i randomly stumbled across a bunch of cool concept art for animal jam classic's "fast foodies" minigame that were too good not to share with everyone else! for me, it's always exciting getting a glimpse of behind-the-scenes artwork, especially from one of my favourite minigames 🍓🥝

juice hut concepts

cups and bowls

the cups are pretty simple, and it looks like the bowls were originally going to be tree stumps(?) and plain wood! i'm glad we ended up with coconuts and pineapples instead 🥥🍍

blender machines and jars

there's not much to say about the blender machines and jars since they're pretty simple, but i do like the little fruit doodles they added inside each one 🍌🫐

progress meter and gems

behold the progress meter!! so simple, yet so silly... the gem doodles also remind me of fruity pebbles 🍊🥣

sarepia theater concepts

sadly, i couldn't find any other information about the sarepia theater levels, only a singular rough sketch of the layout 💔💔 i actually like these levels even more than the juice hut, so i would've loved to see more of the concepts...

cotton candy machine

it's officially summertime and i wanna talk about the summer carnival minigames!!

i also tried out the play wild cotton candy machine for the first time before i made this post! it was a little underwhelming 😔

much like the hot cocoa machine, you get to customise your order with a wide variety of options!

according to the trivia section on the cotton candy machine page, there are 3,072 possible combinations ️🍭

that's precisely 1,344 more combinations than the hot cocoa machine!

i remember playing this mini-game a LOT as a kid, and the cotton candy in the bowl looked way different....

sometime in 2018, it was changed from the thin and whispy texture on the left, to the fluffier texture on the right ☁️

the cotton candy icon even received a cute little makeover too!!

secret combinations

around the same time, they added eight secret combinations that could only be made by combining specific cones with specific flavours!

however, the regular phantom combination can use any of the cones, with the exception of the golden star cone....

it's finally available in the diamond shop after two whole weeks of patiently waiting..

the last one was just over 6 years ago, which is a little wild to think about.. BUT i'm just happy that the seasonal small house collection is finally complete🌴

i also find it interesting that the pool of water in the bottom-left is interactive, and it looks like they even reused the wallpapers and floors from the beach house den!

i love the pink forest walls..............

and it's also a non-member den, which is a huge win!!

out of the 14 dens we've had since flash shut down, only 3 of them have been available for non-members 💔

hot cocoa machine

according to the trivia section on the hot cocoa machine page, there are 1,728 possible combinations ☕️

the hot cocoa hut page also mentions that the hut was originally meant to be a tool shop, which i'm kind of glad they changed..

ALSO i've been playing this game since 2011, and i didn't even realise until a few years ago that we could change the temperature of the hot cocoa??

jammer wall stickers

according to the classic wiki's trivia section, there are some unreleased stickers featured in a membership advertisement! the first one looks like a pink moth? and the second one looks like a purple tiger 🐯

if i can find a less blurry version of the advertisement, i might redraw those stickers and add them to this post 🎨

patterned jammer wall backgrounds

sadly, i could only find 28 out of the 35 patterned backgrounds! if i end up finding them, they will eventually be added to this post 🧱

i assume the centre of the backgrounds were intentionally kept blank to save the artists some time LOL why go through the trouble to draw something if it was going to get covered up anyway...

of course! everything down below is what i know so far 🫡 this is gonna be a long and image-heavy post LOL

scrapped ajc card "Fight!" game?

sadly, i don't think the inactive alphas play a major role in this mini-game, aside from Sophia being on the alternative cover!

from what i can understand, this was a scrapped multiplayer game from around 2010-2013, where players would use cards with various elemental abilities to battle one another ⚔️

examples of the cards:

on the first three cards, the rainbow squares at the top indicate the power of the attack; blue is the weakest and red is the strongest. on all six cards, the emojis indicate the overall strength attack and defense! four emojis is the highest level, while one emoji is the lowest! the round icons and backgrounds on all six cards show which effect is currently active.

in order, the icons are: wild, arctic/sleek, soaring, fierce, sneaky, gentle/brave, rugged/tough and swift!

visual effects:

in order, the visual effects are: poison, snow, air, fire, scratch, hearts and rock!

whoever decided to make zios look like the headless horseman deserves a huge raise because oh my goddd he looks so good 🔥

i love how they turned mira into a fire-breathing dragon 🐉 and also cosmo kinda looks like casper the ghost?? i loved that movie as a kid..

i'd definitely have to go with Brady's Expeditions!

personally, i think it was a really fun and interesting way to educate kids about snakes! i like how they split the video up into 12 chapters, each with correct and incorrect choices that led to even more clips.

part of me wishes we had more expeditions; i would've loved to have seen some about alligators and/or crocodiles.. 🐊

plus, i loved the den item prizes! the Snake Pennant was originally supposed to feature three different snake symbols instead of one 🐍

honestly, i do prefer the symbol they went with in the end, but it's a shame the other two were left behind!

maybe they'll release something similar on play wild? although i doubt it will include Brady Barr..

i loved the blue heron new jammer tutorial from 2014, i really miss when liza was our guide instead of peck LOL

her beta testing art was really pretty too, it's such a shame they made her look skinnier and younger for no real reason 😔

scrapped ajc frog game?

i randomly stumbled across an old? unreleased game that is extremely similar to the armadillo game, long shot!

it definitely makes way more sense as to why they decided to go with an armadillo in the end, but part of me wishes we also had this frog-themed swamp version as well.. 🐸

it looks like the lily pads would act as some kind of launch pad to propel the frog forward, kind of like the geysers in long shot 🪷

there are also a few insects (a fly and a dragonfly?) that seem to be apart of the game, although there is no mention as to what these little guys actually do..

if i had to guess, maybe they would've acted like speed boosts? since frogs actively eat these guys in real life, it would be really strange if they acted like enemies that slowed it down instead 🪰

i've seen a lot of discussions and questions asking what the Phantom Emporium is and what it does, so i thought i'd share a bit of insight and a couple of interesting facts as someone who helped compile most of the current information for the wikis!

this is a little longer than my other usual posts, so bear with me...

What is the Phantom Emporium?

the Phantom Emporium is a party that was released on October 3, 2025! It appears on the party list once every few days, for a maximum of thirty minutes, however people can stay in the room up until the daily reset.

during those thirty minutes, one item will be available at the Phantom Emporium Shop, which is located at the window of the phantom NPC's cart.

FUN FACT; to stop players from time travelling (changing the date and time on their computers) to see the next item(s), the Phantom Emporium was split into three different party rooms! while they are all entirely separate rooms, each of them share the exact same layout and purpose.

Why was the Phantom Emporium added?

the Phantom Emporium was added as a way for players to purchase items that had previously been unavailable for an extended amount of time.

items such as the Antique Chair and Duck Footprints hadn't been available in stores for 8-10 years! any players who hadn't purchased these items prior to their departure would sadly have to trade for or buy them from other players, which could cost anywhere from a few RIMs to 500+ diamonds.

What items will be released in the Phantom Emporium?

while it's hard to predict the exact items that will return to the Phantom Emporium, i think it's safe to say that any non-rare items that haven't been released for over 5-10+ years are fair game. there are, however, some exceptions, such as the Spectacular Spikes!

I believe party hats, headdresses, contest items, and other rares will NEVER to be added to the Phantom Emporium for very obvious reasons.

What about the Alpha Training Mat?

FUN FACT; the Alpha Training Mat was intended to be released on May 2, 2026 in the Phantom Emporium! after constructive criticism from both Jambassadors and players, this release date was cancelled by April 9, 2026.

the Alpha Training Mat is an extremely expensive and rare item that could only be obtained by purchasing 120 unique Adopt-A-Pet toys in real life. as such, many players considered its future release in the Phantom Emporium to be unfair, as they had spent real money to obtain it.

i remember when the adventures were first introduced, they definitely had me on edge as a kid whenever they popped up on my screen 😓 i did not like the sound effects

phantom guard mini-boss(?)

it looks so silly when its angry!! i bet the helmet and the spiked balls are super heavy LOL

ALSO it kinda reminds me of the heavy phantom design, except it has slightly longer tentacles like the standard phantom

megamind (brainiac) phantom

can't believe this guy is actually called a brainiac phantom.. such a goofy name, but it does make sense. its big head kind of makes it look like an octopus 🐙

i also have no clue why its eye is tweaking out like that, someone mentioned it could be to do with it maybe following our cursors?
