Tips on Looking Your Best in Wedding Pictures!
Try the Classic Red-Carpet Pose Angle your body to the side and turn your head towards the camera. Put your weight on your back foot, feel free to put your hands on your hip. (it creates a slimmer profile) If you have a “good side” use it.
Keeping your Eyes Open If you tend to blink in photos, try closing your eyes and have the photographer count to three. On three, open them. Works every time. Â Â
Go Easy on the Orang-y Makeup Even if you look merely sun-kissed in real life, you might look carrot-hued in the photos. Also glitter and other luminescent lotions/ powders end up looking like sweat, not sparkle in photos.
Hold your Bouquet at your Hip You don’t want to hide behind your bouquet. Show off your dress instead by keeping your hands down by your bellybutton. When posing for formals keeping your forearm at a 45-degree will make you look thinner.
The Beauty of Laughter Forget saying “cheese,”. Instead think of something funny. Better yet, joke with the photographer. A natural smile trumps a fake one every time. And a good laugh eases tension for everyone.
Look more awake even if your not If all the excitement of your big day kept you up late the night before, try a couple drops of Visine. It will help your eyes look brighter and more awake.

What to wear for a portrait session- part 1
The big answer is whatever your family is most comfortable in. Here are a few suggestions to make your beach photos even better. First of all, relax! Our Photography Sessions are very laid-back and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible and enjoy it!
Should we all wear white?
White is classic for beach portraits, and can be easily matched with any accessory .
What about wearing colors for our pictures? We have had some wonderful images from clients wearing navy, black, brown, and of course color.  Just keep in mind that your eye will track to the lightest thing in the image. Wearing bright colors can be great too! We love bright pinks, teals, purples and all shades of blue.
Try and keep everyone's outfit in the same tonal range. For instance: if your kids are wearing light colors or pastels, make sure that you and your husband wear light colors as well. Try light blues, greens, coral, or any pastels. Your family does not have to dress exactly alike in order to look connected. Try laying the clothes out on the bed to see how they look together ahead of time.
Remember: all light clothing or all dark clothing. Don’t mix the two.

What should we know when planning a beach portrait?
Bare feet can be fun
Solids are best, Avoid patterns of all kinds.
Avoid Ruffles
Simple Jewelry…classic. Bold big pieces can be very distracting.
Avoid strapless clothing.
Avoid short skirts.
Make sure your whites are not thin and see through.
Khaki or beige shorts and pants come in a variety of shades. Lay them all out and avoid the darker ones as they will not blend as well with lighter shades. The same goes for jeans and jean shorts…choose jeans in the same color range.

Things to remember before getting ready fora beach photo session.
Expect it to be windy
Use Hair Spray, heavily...to the point of stiff....even the men and boys.
No sunglasses unless everyone is wearing them.
No Lotion. The sand will stick to moist legs.
No Bling. **Avoid anything with glitter or sparkle. Crystals, sequins and sparkly jewelry will leave unwanted shadows on your face.
Eat A Snack before the session.
Smile & Relax
