“What’s her name?”

“Jasmine.”

“What are you looking for?”

“Something that pays the bills.”

“Guess you have a point.”

“So yeah, it’s gonna be a struggle.”

“There are plenty of places without food being sold.”

“Which of those would hire me?”

“Oh. Your girlfriend is a bartender.. That’s cool.”

“She’s completely cool.”

“I feel like all people do in this town is eat and drink.”

“What else is there to do?”

“I think people is something you’ll have to deal with in any job.”

“Sadly. But people around food are the worst.”

“All I need is someone to be at the register.” 

“Sounds easy. Now... the pay..”

“I don’t blame you. Dealing with people and food is never any fun. Maybe we can look at you selling some stuff.”

“As long as it’s not food.”

Slowly she brought her hand down from the spot that probably was barely visible to anybody but her and looked at him, then back down to her phone. She then looked back up with a slight pout. “Is it really noticeable?” 

“What are you thinking on looking for?”

“I don’t know. I’m just tired of food.”

“I don’t blame you. We can go job hunting the next time we are off.”

“Sounds fun.”

“Antiques.”

“I know nothing about that.”

“Sick of food?”

“Handling food, handling people ordering the food.”

“It seems like a lot of people lately wouldn’t want to be one.”

“First of all, I wouldn’t want to be in competition to my girlfriend.”
