I’m gonna get so much shit for this opinion —
I think Play Your Games sounds like old Greta, musically and melodically, but oh my god what are those lyrics. I couldn’t even tell you what this song is even about, because honestly it doesn’t seem to be about anything. There’s nothing wrong with a good lighthearted song, don’t get me wrong. I just miss the depth of their old music. Idk. Starcatcher didn’t hit for me — even though I did really like a few songs — and neither does whatever this is. I really hope the other songs on the album are better because I’m so genuinely sad and disappointed that I don’t like Play Your Games.
