TECHNIQUE TIP: Triceps pull down π A lot of women I've been chatting to recently have said they love watching my workout vids but it's all so fast, and if they are new to the gym it's quite hard to make sense of what I'm doing. So I've decided to do a few slower videos explaining how it should feel, how you should hold your body etc. Then you girls can just add these exercises into your workouts! This is a great tricep isolation exercise as it challenges your core muscles to keep your torso stable at the same time. - stand facing the cable pulley with a straight bar or ropes attached to it, keep torso straight with a very small inclination forwards. - adjust the pulley to at or above your head height and position yourself 1 to 2 feet away from it. - imagine your elbows are pinned to your sides, just in front of the line of your torso. - keep your elbows stationary against your body as you straighten your arms, pulling the ropes down towards your thighs. - hold for 1 second and release controlled back up to starting point. - exhale as you perform this movement. #technique #triceps (at Fitness First Bishopsgate)
COCONUT BREAD πππ Smoked salmon, poached eggs, avocado and coconut bread π The coconut bread is quite hard to get hold of so often I just have this breakfast without it, but if I can get my hands on some it's such a treat π. COCONUT BREAD: 6 x organic eggs. 1/2 cup coconut oil melted. 1 x tablespoon raw honey (optional). 3/4 coconut flour. 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder. 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt. 1 tsp grain free baking powder. #eatclean #coconutbread

BREAKFAST βοΈππππOne thing I have to say about the heat is that it naturally makes your food choices a lot healthier π I don't know about you guys but when it's hot outside all I want to eat is fresh fruit πππ. This mornings breakfast was paleo granola with full fat Greek yogurt and a selection of fresh fruit, apple, banana, fig, raspberries, strawberries and kiwi fruit. Transformation Tuesday ππΌβοΈπ On the left is me three years ago when I had gone through a period of severe calorie cutting. I was consuming around 800 calories a day for 2months. As soon as I decided to start eating like a normal person again the weight just piled on. Because my body was practically in starvation mode it was holding onto every ounce of food I ate! This is proof how bad calorie cutting is, it totally defeats the point of losing weight and it's a waist of time. And effort if you want long term results. The image on the right hand side was taken this passed Friday. I now eat all day everyday and don't ever count calories. I make healthy choices but I never say no when my body is hungry ππΌ Nourish your bodies and treat them with respect βπΌ#transformationtuesday
