2D outcome.
As a final piece, the work would be a larger scale.
The audio was created by recording the sound of clock chimes, then changing the speed of the recording. Within the animation, the recording is sped up to create a sense of congestion at the beginning and slowed down at the end where is less happening. The same would be with a sound installation, with either recordings played at various speeds playing at different areas, or triggered by motion sensors with speed of the recordings determined by volume of traffic.
This audio was also used on the film clip created with laminates.
From the images produced in 2D this animation, worked in Premier Pro, was created as the time based outcome.

Top left: Tape place between two pieces of 3mm glass. Top right: Tack fuse. Bottom: Full fuse.
Images created to show the idea of how space is used/wasted within the college. As an outcome for 2D, a number of images will be produced, some congested, some blank, to convey this idea.
From the top image, acetates and a lino cut were created for printing techniques.
Tape used to create the image on the glossy paper laminated, then place over the image.

Lino cut
Not only was the lino cut used for printing, it was also used for embossing and making moulds in latex and ceramics.
