Last Tuesday I took Loki to the vet since he can’t widely open his eyes because of the mucus.

Upon check-up, he’s not fond that he has to wear a muzzle when he’s given shots and have his blood tested. 

The vet did a blood test he has a low platelet count. So he’s hooked up to a dextrose.

My poor baby bear :’(

It makes a pet owner feel really special when the pet snaps at everyone because he’s scared but he will never snap at you because he trusts you with his life.

For some reason, I blame myself for not updating on Loki’s maintenance shots.

ANYWAY. I’m sorry I’m rambling.

He didn’t eat at all on Tuesday but when I visited him yesterday, he was very happy to see me.

He needed to be admitted overnight or even for 2 nights for observation. I went back for him the very next day and I was so desperate to take him home because I know from research that dogs heal faster when they’re in a familiar environment. I paid round 7,000 for everything (consultation, blood test, antibiotics, overnight stay, eyedrops,booster shots, etc).

Took me over an hour the first time I tried giving him his meds myself.

I can’t wait to bring him home very soon. So there, that’s about a quarter of what’s going through my mind right now. :(

UPDATE: Loki is home. He is very much alert, playful, happy and healthy. :)
