Jacob's Rook

Has some spots in London where nobody gets to cause parcour, likes to go there to get away from everything for a few minutes sometimes. Only takes you to one of them when you noticed.

Senses when his s/o is feeling off. When they don’t want to talk to him about it, he just tries to distract them in any way he knows how and that they seem to feel up to.

If you do allow him to listen to you: will listen, ill let you rant and will probably try to massage your shoulders with calloused fingers in the meantime 

Once tries to make some food for you. It’s not the best thing you’ve ever eaten but edible and he tried.

When there’s a fight between you two, he gets very quiet and uncharacteristically non-defensive or sarcastic. Lashes out at people around him, prone to getting frustrated and taking more missions only to  almost mess them up ‘cause his head is not in the game anymore.

When he’s about to date someone who is not a Rook or an Assassin, he’s partial to abandoning the idea of being with them regardless. Not the type to change who he is for his lover, nor ask his lover to change for him. They need to make that choice for themselves unrelated to him.

Says I love you for the first time when he thinks his lover doesn’t hear him. Consider it a practice run. He’s well aware love can lash back.

Evie probably came to tell you he’s got feelings for you (and to let him down easy if you don’t have feelings for him as soon as possible) at least three times before he says it to your face while you’re awake.

When he fears he’s been double-crossed by his lover he gets angry at whoever suggests that may be the case, but he does get more suspicious. Especially if the thought came from Evie. Looking for signs of it not being true more than as much as for signs of it being true.

Will teach his lover to fight if said lover is up for it. Sparring riles him up and ends up in something other than fighting though.

Will show a more serious side when talking about the future of London and where he sees himself in five years. Unexpectedly, he did think it all through, with a sense of duty and foresight that would make Evie’s jaw drop.

Terms of endearment are a go, as long as they’re not mushy. No he won’t say ‘oh light of my life’ but ‘love’, ‘gorgeous’, ‘babe’ etc are a go.

Long, tight hugs when you return from any potentially dangerous situations.

Touch starved when he hasn’t seen you in a few days. Constantly going for your hand, wrapping an arm around you, leaning against you or pulling you close, grabbing your legs and draping them over his lap,... 

Naps on his lover. Yes, on. Head on your arm, shoulder, chest, abdomen, ... anything goes.

Chilling on the couch

Never lets off on the flirting (aka bad and good pick-up lines in equal measure) when you’re together. “You know what would look good on you? Me.” 

Calls you by your surname when he’s annoyed at you.

First nights you spend with him he bothers keeping his pants on (unless you’re up for more), but the shirt comes off. He’s like a human heater, always too hot warm.

Getting snacks in the middle of the night.

Teaches you how to cheat at gambling games.

Don’t even think about asking him to dance with you. He doesn’t dance with someone unless he’s drunk or already dating them, and if the latter he’s gonna consider it foreplay rather than legit dancing. It will look the part.
