Lately,

I’m calling love back to me and flipping off all possible paths that lead out of my bed and into something bigger. I’ve learned how to drive, but that doesn’t mean I have to go anywhere, right?

There’s got to be more I haven’t seen, so why don’t I want to see it anymore?

I’ll be better next week; I’ll get less high.

Take a minute and dip my head under the running water, silent during a chorus.

I’ve grown to want past love as it was. Erase continuity and let it all come back.

I’ve been meaner and meaning to change it.

Been breathing more.

Finding less shades of red.

Shoving my eyes to something more productive.

Then I come back.

Vow solemnly with forever hanging from the ceiling fan 😸
